=== '''Bloodline:''' ===

The Veanysus bloodline is an ancient Hyurian Midlander bloodline that can be traced all the way back to the Fifth Astral Era of Ice. The word '''Veanysus''' itself is a more modern variation of '''Vin'eush'qu'nee'sa''' as described in ancient stone-carven bank records and by simply word of mouth in the family. The bloodline has been world renowned and famous since the 1400's for its strong presence and influence in inter-state trade, however, records indicate that the Veanysus family has a long history passed down from generation to generation of endorsing, innovating, and supporting economical advancement in society for as long back as the records go, while sticking its roots in political contributions arising from the aftermath of the Sixth Umbral Era of Water, the family utilizing its wealth to contribute heavily towards rebuilding the heavily damaged areas of Eorzea, earning political standing.

=== '''Significant Family Members:''' ===

'''(THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS AND WILL BE UPDATED CONSTANTLY)'''

The Veanysus family has records tracing all the way back to the beginning of the family name. Below are the lists of some significant figures of the Family throughout the passage of time.

'''The First Veanysus (Fifth Astral Era of Ice) :''' The very first Veanysus was in fact named 'Veanysus'. There is no record of a first name. However, there are multiple references to the name 'Veanysus' as a general single name. Of course, being so ancient, there is VERY little information to go upon. This name was consistently placed on markers, noticeably bridges more then anything else. This man could of been a construction specialist, responsible for erecting temporary bridges which have long faded away to the passage of time. However, rocks are still being obtained containing the simple name of 'Veanysus' in ravines and buried underneath small rivers. There is no older record then this specific 'Veanysus'.

'''The Guide (Fifth Umbral Era of Ice):''' This man is also called 'Veanysus', though several first names have been discovered on, once again, stone carvings, though contemporary age and wear of the carvings and diagonal lines on the rock suggest the time period taking place in the Fifth '''Umbral''' Era and not the Astral Era. Multiple first names ranging from "Alalagin" to "Thendufur" have been found; it is not known whether or not it is the same person.

These stone engravings are seen elsewhere from the older engravings, curiously appearing in the Northern Straits, the sight of the Miqo'te migration. It is theorized that the Veanysus family during that time period assisted in the Miqo'te migration, an ironic action today and possibly controversial in the past.

'''The Founder (Sixth Astral Era of Water):'''

(It is good to note here that by this time, the Veanysus family was considered large.)

'''Falecroso Veanysus''' is considered the most important family member in the family history and the first Veanysus that is well documented.

Upon the organization of modern civilization in Eorzea, there came a dillema in the transportation of goods. Couriers and Caravans were primarily used for the transportation of essential items from one place to another. However, stealing was rampant, as were raids by thieves. Knock-off products were also beginning to take off, and citizens of Eorzea could no longer rely on the goods outside of their local establishment due to too many X-Factors out on the road. An inventor and planner by heart (and a former rider of a Caravan himself) Falecroso was one of the first men among others to raise a voice about the situation. With the help of others that lended to his aid, Falecroso made it standard that major shipping would be handled by businesses, and not the individual. Stamps of quality assurance appeared on the crates of Falecroso's caravans, as well as tag-along bodyguards that fended off raids and thieves.

The problem was not fixed overnight. However, Falecroso placed the Veanysus family on the map as the ultimate innovators of Economic Shipping by businesses, and made the road safe for trade caravans, and placed the people's trust back in imported goods. There is a fable written about him called 'Run the World Round'.

'''The Savior (Sixth Astral Era of Water):'''

'''Levian Veanysus''' is known in the family as the man who helped rebuild Eorzea, and the man who earned favor for the Veanysus family in Eorzean politics. A scholar, diplomat, and pacifist, Leavian was known as a genius in law, writing a book that was used in elementary teachings of law for centuries when he was only 19, as well as a significant philosopher known for his renowned poetry (though they did not become renown until he passed away as he kept them in private for his eyes only).

Upon the disastrous events in the Umbral Era of Water, in which many regions of Eorzea were heavily damaged after immense flooding, Levian Veanysus, for the first time in his life, took aggressive stance as head of the family, and launched an immense campaign to provide every single reform effort he could manage with the equipment necessary to rebuild quickly and efficiently, povertizing his family name in the process, going so far as to famously sell his own undergarments in order to feed a family that had been left without a home.

The Lalafell Syndicate, in recognition of his efforts, awarded the family with the title of '''Merchantile Nobility''' and based their noble rights in the city of Ul'Dah, shocking conservative Lalafell and almost igniting a riot in the process due to the increase in diversity in Ul'Dah.

=== Aftermath ===

Today, instead of rioting in the streets, Eorzea now realizes that this event, along with many others before it, attracted all of the races to Ul'Dah.

It was then that the Veanysus family moved from La Noscea to Ul'Dah, and established a family estate there. It is now informally known that the Veanysus family has heavy power and influence in the city. Each Veanysus family member is required to contribute their services to Ul'Dah for a few years before being free to assist and eventually inherit the family business. This is why Ryanti is training to be a Paladin, for his time of service grows near.

=== Claims of Allagan Lineage ===

It is officially recognized that the Veanysus family descendants trace back to the Fourth Astral Era of Ice. However, there have been a decent number of family members claiming the lineage traced further back, all the way to the Legendary, Ancient Allagan Empire.

Multiple family members (though not all) that have disappeared to never reappear in ages past have claimed this, whether it be in journal or by word of voice. This includes Falecroso. Members have also reported to therapeutic consultants of horrific nightmares, surrounded by architecture and surroundings completely foreign to them, including howled screams and cries and feeling immense pain and loss that feel foreign to them, as if living inside someone else's shoes.

There is no factual evidence linking the family to the Empire.

=== Family Members in the Garlean Empire ===

There is a belief that the Veanysus family has another line in the Garlean Empire, though obvious political fallout prevent this from being investigated.

== '''Business:''' ==

=== Ventures ===

The Veanysus Family is known above all else as a Business Empire.  The '''Veanysian Trade Service''' company stamp can be found on many shipping crates, caravan wheels, sale masts, wine holders, kegs, etc. Within recent generations, they have developed industry in not only economic appliances. They are beginning to break into the Cutlery and Dinnerware Industry, for example, with the '''Practical Aristocrat''' silverware sets and dining plates, which are fanciful food wares with affordable common man prices.

=== Economic Contribution ===

The '''Veanysian Trade Service''' is a company Headquartered in Limsa Lominsa, which provides jobs to the local populace, youth, and privateers that wish for honest work. They have ties to the Barricudas, as well as the Syndicate. They are not the only business to venture in this service, as they are in heavy competition from equally powerful companies, and smaller companies charging less. However, they are known for their suburb treatment of their workers, and rich employee benefits for company loyalty. It bleeds them money, though endorsements from political officials allows the Trade Service to obtain a decent measure of 'Confederate Money', public money funded by a joint-effort of all three city states for certain 'National' services.

The '''Cutlery and Dinnerware Industry''' is a brand new facility located in Ul'Dah, focusing their job efforts on the youth of the city in an effort to 'clean up the streets a tad'. They collaborate with jewelers and blacksmiths alike in the industry, producing glass and metallic plates and silverware. Nowadays, apprenticeship programs are beginning to shine with businesses like these, as practitioners tudoring apprentices are beginning to pick up, leading to more of an emphasis on Ul'Dah's youth utilizing tradecraft. The Syndicate are pleased, as are the merchants, whom purchase the goods at wholesale prices to sell elsewhere.

The stamp itself is made out of a secret formula that, when ignited, changes the flame from red to blue, then finally to purple that requires no magic. No one has yet to break this formula, therefore authenticity is not a problem with the company.
