Once upon a time Apa appeared as either childish, weird, or annoying to most upon seeing or first contacting him. He was witty and enjoyed teasing people who seem to have a negative reaction to this. There is nothing more he enjoyed than feeding his ego, one would have seen it was rather easy to get him to listen or do something by feeding it or challenging it as well. U'apa was once known for saying he doesn't care about people's "sob stories" and the like, though now he will gladly listen and use any personal information one may tell him to manipulate them or others. Rather tall for a miqo'te, Apa stands at . His natural hair color is black which has been mostly dyed with green. After feeling betrayal by those he saw as friends--saving them over and over again and even spending three moons in jail and only getting out from a prison break--Apa began to slowly loose his mind to "the inner void within all of us". Now a man of two faces, he introduces himself as 'Bidan' and even worked his way into a corrupt Ishgardian house in which he was handsomely paid by the head to be the 'brains' of the underground organization. Tieing lose ends and cleaning up any dirty work to keep the house's favorable appearence. In the end when he had made enough gil for his materials and tools he proceeded to betray the very man whom hired him and knock him off his throne giving chance for the man's son and niece to take over and reclaim the house name and better what was tainted. He prizes knowledge, information, and himself over all, usually found standing in dark corners or areas of heavy communication traffic. When not seen he is probably conducting illegal experimentation and research. Maybe. But you won't know that! Name Pre-Calamity 1.0 U'Apa Tia was born in the Sagolii Desert like most others of the tribe. He was born lighter than most with black hair and and a faded light blue color pair of eyes. Although agile and dexterous, he was never strong and had lower than average physical stamina. He could never grasp hunting and typically failed at it making him rather pathetic appearing in the tribe. Born a curious child, he had eventually wandered off finding himself around Nald's Reflection where he spotted a group of thaumaturges. Seeing them with their odd ways and magic he followed the group blindly to Ul'dah. Having not paid attention to how he got there the young U'Apa found himself stranded. No where else to go and nothing to work with but his wits he quickly observed and followed other refugees and street urchins around him. Eventually he had learned to dance, con, and dagger juggle his way into getting what little gil he could to survive. Eventually, at the age of thirteen he joined and began studying the old ways of thaumaturgy. Magics dealing towards the astrals of life and the umbrals of death. Here he discovered he had more of an affinity towards magical arts than physical combat and after a bit over a year and the events of the calamity began he had a run in with a strange female keeper and her friends. Through the months leading tot he calamity U'Apa grew attached to the older keeper and began regarding her as his older sister. Nearing the time of Dalamud's decent he attempted to stop her from joining her friends and fighting for "the light." Failing to do so, he was tricked by her and awoke with nothing but her old unfinished grimoire. In attempts to chase after his sister he began to make his way towards Mor Dhona on chocobo. To the sky however, he saw Bahamut emerging and still being far from the battle he stopped in terror urging for cover as the events unfolded. Awakening after devastation he found himself with the grimoire and chocobo near some rocky outcrops. As he turned to the grimoire he could only find his thoughts of his sister's face drawing to blank and even causing him to loose track of what he was thinking or doing at times. At a loss he eventually travels to Limsa Lominsa where he would then join, study, and get a job within the Arcanist guild. Typically working on paperwork and book keeping when he wasn't out studying and filling the rest of his sister's grimoire. A Realm Reborn 2.0 + 'The Walk' Campaign U'Apa worked part-time at the Arcanist Guild and wanders within the city-states and other areas collecting information. Eventually he was hired by Oyun Ilydena in her attempt to flee eorzea and run away from it all. Siding with Oyun's friends instead on the matter, he played double agent to save the woman from herself and help her friends convince her of staying. Due to troubles from his friends got into, Apa found himself coming up with and saving Sionna from a voidsent possessed sword. Lying to the Thaumaturge guild he was able to retrieve items he needed to help due battle and seal the voidsent away and free his friend. Though it was short lived as not long after the group found themselves tossed into The Walk of Echoes, a 'crossroad of time and space'. During the campaign Apa panicked at finding his friends in death like states and seek help from the thaumaturge guild, only to be thrown into jail for three moons until Akhutai had eventually broken him out. Eventually some suns passed Apa and his friends found themselves trying to save the other star from being engulfed in Darkness and Emptiness, becoming Escha. No match for the star's workings of aether, they were unable to save it. With Saran and Bahldur's death, Oyun agreed to take Saran's place as her double and continue to light the path and give hope to the world, for them to not give in and keep fighting. Chanto following her, agreed to stay behind as well. With that and much reluctance, Apa sealed the Walk of Echoes rift opening from Hydaelyn's side, and Oyun from the other star's side. After the sealing and making sure to cut all ties so his friends could walk freely again on Hydaelyn he himself then returned to Eorzea, keeping all of Saran's books on alchemy and her tribe from the other star. Heavensward 3.0 + 'House Dupont' Campaign In need of funds he worked his way into a corrupt Ishgardian house under the name 'Bidan'.
