General Information
Muzai is a woman in her early twenties who now seeks to live life as she sees fit. She's one known to lean back and let others play heroes and villains, only taking action in politics when she deems it necessary. She refuses to risk the life of herself or those around her unless herself or her friends are at immediate risk of injury or death. She's a delivery girl with work expanding all over Ul'dah and sometimes the surrounding towns. She is friendly at all times with being somewhat snarky at random points, depending on her mood. Rarely will she use be rude or insult anyone. She's a very emotional individual and can sometimes get teary eyed but not actually cry.

Hair & Eyes
Muzai has blazing amber eyes that seem to pierce through anything she looks at with even brighter limbral rings to accentuate them. Muzai's demeanor can be described as very friendly and often forgiving which leads to many interacting with her. Muzai's hair is a dark lavendar with bright plum accents that wrap around the back of her head. Her hair is extremely short, wrapping around her face. Rarely will she grow her out due to personal reasons. Her hair is soft to the touch.
Physique & Markings
Ve stands at 4 fulms, 10 ilms and weighing in (without armor) at 89 ponze. The Xaelan is well toned but not muscular, being very petite and thin in conjunction with copious amounts of exercise to stay in shape. Despite her near flawless bronzed toned body, the dark scales on her arms stand out as they start from her wrists and dot up to her shoulders. She has patched of scales on her ribs as well as her hips and some on her thighs and calves. There is a diamond shaped patch of scales on her lower back. Muzai's tail is about 2 fulms in length, covered in scales and is extremely blackened at the tip where three sharp tips extrude out.
Hygiene & Attire
Muzai actively cleans herself when she is not out and about delivering in Thanalan. She bathes at least once a day, if not more, even after exercises or other activities that requires her to do excess amounts of moving. As for her attire, Muzai wears things that are light material and can be occasionally seen wearing dark colored clothings when dressed professionaly but slowly melding in her own sense of style when dressing in robes and dresses; which is her ttpical casual wear. On very rare occasions, Muzai wears a yellow carnation in her hair.
Personality
Psychological Profile
Muzai's views on life is rather jaded when compared to the ideology of anyone and everyone around her. If what you do rewards you with success, be it morally or immoraly, Ve will do it. She does not stand by the thought of 'there is a right way and then there is a wrong way'. If you can obtain your goals by whatever means, then what is right or wrong is simply determined by your own perspective. Coming to this belief system after spending moons in Ul'dah. However, this belief system is hardly known by her friends considering she always trying her to best to make them happy.
Muzai can be an extremely angry person when others get in the way of her personal goals, even though she herself may not know what those goals are at any given time. She is prone to treat others based on how they treat her but no matter what, when dealing with her friends, she will always show them the utmost respect.
It is common for Muzai to give compliments or speak to people of whom she does not know. The Xaelan is one to make new friends and is hardly ever shy to introduce herself. Though more often than not, she is surrounded by friends.
Voice
A soft gentle voice is the common sound that comes from behind her mask. Speaking with hushed tones as if trying not to be loud and disrespectful. Often times she'll speak in an odd manner though doesn't realize it. When angered her voice can be monotonous yet still give off a thunderous roar that comes from her throat. When happy9 or pleased she can be heard humming from her throat.

Lip Reading: Due to her ever silent life, Ve has made it a common practice to people watch. Through her time in Ul'dah she has been witness to many shadey dealings or large crowds. Further watching peoples she was able to learn how to read lips. Fast talkers are the only exception as their lips move to fast.
Swimming: She's a decent swimmer, having had to learn in order to fend for herself when she was learning to fish. Ve can crawl and backstroke. She absolutely hates getting wet though as all of her hair weighs her head down making it harder to properly take up a position to use her bow.
Herbalist, First Aid: Studies of plant life and spending summers picking and making her own medicines, Ve has self taught herself to make remedies that can temporarily heal minor cuts, bruises and burns as well tending to broken limbs with slings or braces.
Poison Resistance Due to living in the Black Shroud and succumbing to many poisons, be it from plants or poison foods, Ve has developed a bit of a resistance to poisons though when exposed to large or extremely potent doses, she can still succumb.
Combat Abilities
Marksman/Hawk Eye: Ve is an excellent bow user, being able to strike at long distances without even being noticed due to her countless summers hunting in the Black Shroud. Often times she would use her short bow, "The Lucky Clover", as a club should her attack get close when wielding the weapon type.
Martial Arts/Close Combat:Ve is proficient in weapons she such as Daggers, Shortswords,and and axes. Her main weapon is her spear, "The Huntsman", which is akin to a naginata. Her strength in swinging this blade is almost surreal due to her size but observant fighters would realize she doesn't swing often unless a hit was bound to do some kind of damage in order to save her energy.
Cat Like Reflexes: Like most Miqo'te who are very agile and nimble, Ve is no different if not above average. Her small frame ontop of her light clothing allows her to soar through the battle field with ease. Even using her spear as a means to launch herself and jumping off of things, much like the dragoons of Ishgard but no where close as effective. Only doing this as a means to launch in and out of fighting and not as a means of combat prowess.
Aether Burst: When going against an opponent and Ve is losing; whether near death or unconscious, her mask allows her to get a surge of Aether and a boost in all her abilities. This is for an extremely short time, meant to get her to safety and fast. Should she not be able to get away, her body succumbs to exhaustion and collapses near instantly due to the stress the aether burst puts on her body.

From The Lost Memories of Ve

The Red Ashen Mask
Corruption of the Innocent
Ve is from the Black Shroud belonging to an unknown Keeper tribe that has been lost to her due to memory complications. Ve is aware though she was raised in the South Shroud alongside her brother, Kamin, with another sibling who was actually her twin, who currently, escapes her thoughts. The brother and sister were known to get into trouble and were often punished for their misdeeds, refusing to learn punishment after punishment to the point most of the elders, mainly the matriarch, let the two run amuck and within reason.

When their misdeeds turned to Thievery from travellers or adventurers in the Black Shroud, that’s when things started to change. The tribe took notice to these sudden change in behaviours and tried their best to keep their eyes on the two. Nothing stopped the siblings, however. One sun the two came upon an convoy of tradesmen and the like. Ve's brother, Kamen stealing a dark red ash mask with a blue sapphire encrusted into its forehead from the caravan that was making way through the Black Shroud to some unknown location. Happy with the find, Kamen would often wear it when performing their criminal activities henceforth. Ve didn't it humorous in the slightest. That was when Kamin started to change...

The mask seemed to envelope the young Kamen, changing him slowly into a spiteful young child. He grew silent and distant. Disregarding his sister whom he had such a connection too. Ve, unsure of what was going on, took it in stride and continued to try and be a part of Kamen’s now deteriorating sociality. He would atop speaking at dinner, often times secluding himself to his room or out in the woods without Ve.

One night, Ve snuck away into his room to see if he wanted to go out and see if there were any caravans nearby to steal from. That was when she noticed the mask, sitting their on the edge of the bed with Kamen fast asleep. Ve couldn't help but take the opportunity. Snatching up the mask, she examined it closely before a slight whisper burrowed into her ear… Maybe multiple. It was unclear but the young child couldn't divert her eyes to the empty black mesh eye holes... As if the mask stared back. A slight tingle in her fingers followed the longer she held it before becoming compelled to wear it. It begged her almost...

That was when she was tackled suddenly. Kamen! He was screaming at her to give it back. Panic struck as the two wrestled for the artifact, kicks and scratches being delivered back and forth. A foot jut out and landed into Kamen’s stomach forcing him to stumble back and trip over his own feet. Head snapping back onto the edge of a table, the tender neck of the child giving way to the sickening thud before falling motionless onto the floor. Panting, gasping and now shuddering with fear, the young Keeper called to her brother but no response. Again, young Ve called to Kamen. There was nothing. The deafening silence made her near sick. Then there was a voice... Looking down, Ve was greeted by the mask staring up at her from the floor. Picking it up and quickly disappearing into the night, Ve had vanished...

When the sun had arrived there was news of the death from one of the childre … anger and confusion struck the tribe. With Ve nowhere to be found which left her twin sister, Tasha, to take the brunt of the punishment after a tribesman said that “she” was the last one around Kamen, which wasn’t true. Tasha was scared at the shouting, trying to make sense of what was happening. A young child who still sought guidance and love from her elders and parents only to be turned on. No one would listen.. No one even thought about Ve with emotions and tensions running high. Tasha was then exiled in place of Ve… but Ve didn’t care. She got what she wanted though it cost her her twin who paid for Ve’s crimes.

She has the mask with no one to take it...




Adulthood
Onward to Ul'dah
Ve stayed with the tribe for a few summers before finally leaving under the shroud of darkness with her mask. The young girl acting solely on what the mask was "telling" her. Surely a young child barely 13, or even 14, summers on her own in the already dangerous Black Shroud, would result in death. Surprisingly, Ve did just that...

Learning basic archery and the ability to wield makeshift spears, the Keeper was more than capable to survive on her own and even to the point where she self taught herself herbalism and first aid. Only going close to civilization when the need arised such as food when none could be caught or clothes that no longer fit or were to damaged. Thankfully, Ve was already well versed in common thievery which would change in the coming summers.

Reaching 18 summers, the Keeper was developing odd mannerisms such as talking to herseld and wearing the most almost nonstop. Even going as far as saying things such as "The mask is me...". Many in the Black Shroud had dubbed her the Masked One and pranksters even going as far as calling her just, Masky. The mental instability of Ve was quickly becoming an issue as her memory complications began here... Her tribe slowly became nonexistent. Her twin, Tasha, who was exiled because of her. How she even got the mask for that matter. Everything was melding together and was only met with blurry thoughts and images whenever she tried to recollect the past.

Ve had turned to a hermit lifestyle, living in complete seclusion but would quickly have her life turned around when she had hit her 25th summer. A common bandit group found their way to Ve's home and attempted to rob her of everything, including her mask. The Keeper snapped and spared no one. Her blood lust was high when strange hands touching her mask, which she still wore. When locals from Quarrymill were out hunting, they happened upon the scene and tried to help but was only met with the brutality of Ve, who was still high of adrenaline.

Ve was deemed a threat to the Shroud and wanted posters were issued for her capture. Being forced to escape the ever shrinking woods she called home due to the Twin Adders, the Miqo'te abandoned everything minus the clothes on her back, spear in hand and mask on face and made her way south...

Some sennights later, Ve found her way into Ul'dah where she currently resides. Taking on odd jobs here and there, she was able to live comfortably. That quickly stopped though as she was sudenly seen prowling the streets more and more. The images of her brother flashing before her eyes and now the mentally unstable woman is chasing shadows of her deceased brother...

Ve has grown accustomed to the city of Ul'dah while most of its inhabitants are aware of Ve's presense. Most usually avoid her due to her awkward social skills but many skilled adventurers often sought her out due to the uncanny aura she gives off, much to her dismay of having to deal with people.

In Recent Times
Ve still currently lives in Ul'dah but her mental state is slowly deteriorating more and more with each moon passing. Adding to that now, Ve had unexpectedly ran into her long lost twin, Tasha, whom Ve doesn't even remember or recognize. With the twin sisters reunited, what could possibly happen? Especially with the ever gnawing presence of the mask...
.

Ul'dah, still making new friends and learning medicinal work. Muzai has even found a means to protect herself when a friend presented her with a firearm. Whether or not she uses it is completely up in the air. It would seem that now peace was a real thing for her, it seemed there was nothing left to do besides relax. Between studying and hanging around the Quicksand, there is rumors that Muzai is currently looking for a job outside of her usual deliviries.

What the fates have in store for her will be mystery indeed...

FAMILY AND OTHER NPCS
Erden Avagnar, Father. ( ✝ ) - Of the Hunt.
Character's Thoughts: "My father was a well known hunter but lost his life when trying to defend my tribe and family from the Adarkim. Sadly, our tribe was wiped out and absorbed into the Adarkim. It has been hard... I miss him so much."
Erden was a hunter of the Avagnar who cared for Muzai very much. He was not tasked with raising Muzai as he was constantly out on the steppes with the others to bring home food. The last time Muzai saw him was when the Adarkim tribe came and wiped out Avagnar, Erden losing his life in the process.
Bolormaa Avagnar, Mother. ( ) - The Soaring Blade.
Character's Thoughts: "My mother was quite the warrior! She would always carry her sword around with her. The woman was definitely not one to disappoint, especially when it came to teaching how to properly hold a weapon! Something I wasn't too good at."
Bolormaa was a warrior of the Avagnar and was, at the time, in charge of teaching young ones to fight properly. Bolormaa tried to teach Muzai how to fight but the young Xaelan couldn't bring herself to harm anything. Muzai was then passed off by her mother to a friend of the family to help her learn trade and herbal gathering.
Menevachi Mevachi, the would be owner. ( ) - Noble in Ul'dah.
Character's Thoughts: "The man who would've been my owner. I was technically his slave and he made my life miserable for moons when he posted a bounty on me after escaping his cronies. This star would be better off without people like him."
Menevachi Mevachi is a Dunesfolk Lalafell who made his riches after pouring his investments into the Miner's and Alchemy's guild. The man takes pleasures in the slave trade finding beautiful men and women exotic for trade. Muzai was one such person and was kidnapped from the Azim Steppes. After being transported to Eorzea, Muzai escaped her captors and Menevachi put a bounty on her for "stealing herself", and demanded her quick return. Recently, Menevachi withdrew the bounty leaving Muzai a free a woman.
Petula Fox, Friend. ( $ ) - Stall Owner.
Character's Thoughts: "Petula is one of the first people to hire me as a delivery girl! We often sit and talk and drink tea before a delivery. She often tells me of rumors that are going about."
Petula is a midlander around thirty summers and is a good friend of Muzai. She would task the young Xaelan with delivering foods and small packages to fellow stalls on the Sapphire or Ruby exchange. While the two never really speak outside of working hours, the two always make up for it during high sun with idle chit chats with Petula teaching Muzai some tradeskills.


PLAYERS
Leonard Miller, Mentor and Friend. ( ♦ ✔ ) - The Hero of Ul'dah!
Character's Thoughts: "Leonard was my very first friend upon reaching Ul'dah. His goofy personality has constantly kept a smile on my face and he has saved me countless times from harm. If it wasn't for Leonard, I'd probably be dead within the first three bells walking through the city's gates."
Leonard is the Hero of Ul'dah and while there are those who are quick to denounce or question this, Muzai believes that Leonard is indeed a hero from her own personal experiences when around him. The longer she hung around him, Leonard eventually took her in as a student to teach her how to wield a blade, something Muzai's mother couldnt do. Despite this, Muzai still hesitates when carrying a blade. The young Xaelan can be seen at her goofiest when around Leonard, often times joining in the antics rather than watching.
D'ken Eir, Adoptive Father. ( ) - The Ever Stoic.
Character's Thoughts: "He is my dad. He officially adopted me after confronting Menevachi Mevachi and convinced him to drop my bounty. He refuses to explain to me how he did it but I feel it may be for the best if I don't pry. I care for him a lot and try my best to make him proud."
D'ken and Muzai met through Leonard after he tried to assemble an expedition to the East. The two are usually seen together in Quicksand and while they have very different personalities, Muzai finds much comfort in his presence. Since he adopted her, she has been frequent in calling him "dad" much to his discomfort(perhaps?) and he has developed a strong overprotective attitude towards people who he doesn't trust that have become acquainted with Muzai.
Ishaori Gundyr, Closest Friend ( ♦ ✔ ) - Of the Desert
Character's Thoughts: "Ishaori is one of my closest friends. Without her and her family, I could've been... Well, let me just say, I would do anything for her just as she has put herself in harm'way for me. It's the least I could do for Ishaori."
Muzai and Ishaori met one random sun through Leonard and Muzai was ever clung to the Highlander, seeking advice or visiting her in the Lavendar Beds along with Ishaori's daughter, Edana. Just as D'ken dealt with Menevachi's bounty to stop bounty hunters; Ishaori faced down one of Muzai's biggest threats, Aesa Raven'ther, securing the young Xaelan's freedom all together.
Aesa Raven'ther, Bounty Hunter ( ✖ ✝ ) - The Raven of Ala Mhigo
Character's Thoughts: "The woman who bent my horn and had hounded me for moons. She is ruthless and uncaring and while I don't condone in the killing of others, Aesa had it coming for all the lives she's ruined or ended. I feel bad for Ishaori having to be the one to end it..."
Aesa, a bounty hunter, hunted Muzai relentlessly. She even gave her a nickname that some of her friends use, Crookhorn. The Ala Mhigan woman was strong with corrupted aether and used it to go after Muzai's friend. Attacking Leonard and others and then eventually setting her sights on Ishaori. The fated fight ended with Aesa dying leaving Muzai to be free from her constant chasing. For moons she tormented Muzai and her friends and now it's over..
Jakha Kha, The Hunter () - The Viper
Character's Thoughts: "A man who I considered one of my closest friends. We always sat and talked on a bench in Ul'dah. That all changed though when he turned on me and tried to catch me but... That was in the past. I've learned to move on despite my of my friend's constant worrying."
Jakha, like Aesa, was a bounty hunter who was much more cunning than the Ala Mhigan. Using his words, managed to lure Muzai into a false sense of security before turning on her. He is the one who gave Muzai her scars. Jakha has attacked her twice, the second time near killing Muzai. However, because of Muzai's forgiving attitude, once her bounty was dropped she forgave Jakha and decided it would only bring more harm should she hold onto her hate. Muzai is unsure how to proceed with him should they meet again.
Cho Daisho, Mentor($ ) - The Good Doctor
Character's Thoughts: "Doctor Daisho is currently my mentor when it comes to practicing the medicinal arts. It's quite a challenge but she has shown me quite a bit and how to properly perform certain actions when caring for others. Though the setting is a bit uncomfortable for me, I am pleased to have one such as her teaching me."
Cho is Muzai's mentor. Though the relationship between the due is strictly business related, Muzai looks at her with much respect, having cared for Muzai after she was near beaten to death by Jakha. Interestingly, Cho offered to teach the Xaelan at her office despite it being in a place that mentally and emotionally traumatized her. Trusting that the doctor would keep her safe, Muzai continued to study beneath her.
Zeke Larardine, Friend( ♦ ✔ ) - The Magician
Character's Thoughts: "Zeke and I became friends through Leonard. Those two are always getting into silly antics, much to the point I wonder how the both of them are still alive considering the amount of craziness I've seen them do. Why... This one time they dressed as women..."
Zeke and Muzai are friends but the two are rarely seen together. Mostly she is around to watch him and his best friend Leonard get into all sorts of shennanigans. Occassionally the two can seem talking to one another albeit brief or in passing but she views him as a very good friend nonetheless.
Atryx Ten'mar, Friend( )
Character's Thoughts: "I met Atryx one sun when I was completely depressed. I forgot about what to be perfectly honest but everytime I talk with him it's always been a very uplifting moment. Mayhap one day I can find what I am looking for and tell him I achieved it."
Muzai sees Atryx as a sort of confidant. Whenever the two talk, it seems Muzai is able to converse freely and openly with the Xaelan which at this point is a breathe of fresh air. Having someone to talk to is a god send while in Ul'dah.
Amira Itou, Friend( )
Character's Thoughts: "Amira is the sort of friend I'd like to have more of. The more I am around her, the more I realize she is looking out for my wellbeing. If it wasn't for Amira and Atryx being around I think I'd be a constant mess of anxiety.."
Amira is very pretty, to the point Muzai seems to always smile from horn to bent horn when in her presence. To make it better, Amira seems to always have sound advice or is watchful of certain individuals from Muzai's past when they are about. Amira seems to not like Muzai's ever forgiving attitude.

Ishgard: Not at All. Too cold for her and Ve has a strong dislike for Ishgardians.
Coerthas: Very Unlikely. Ve has no interest in cold places.
Idyllshire: Likely. Has business dealing and visits due to the trading with the Goblins.
Hinterlands: Likely. Ve has taken a high interest in the plant life within the Hinterlands. Can be seen gathering materials for her own self brewed medicines.
Sea of Clouds: Very Unlikely. Ve has only ever heard of the Sea of Clouds.
Churning Mist: Very Unlikely. Home to dragons, which Ve has no interest in dabbling with.
Azys Lla: Very Unlikely- Ve has only ever heard of Azys Lla.
Othard: Very Unlikely. Ve has only ever heard of Othard.
IC Inventory
The following items are things that this individual carries on their person at all times. These are noted for pickpockets, and those watching her closely. This information is meant to be a prompt for insight and is not to be meta-gamed, though feel free to use this information if it comes up logically in RP (pickpocketing, a search, etc) with use of a simple /tell.

The Red Ashen Mask: The red mask with the sapphire encrusted upon its forehead. The source of Ve's problems as well as her new found strengths. It is unclear what properties this masks holds deep within its shell but can be known to manipulate it's users, such as Ve and Kamen, her brother. The mask is always worn by Ve and rarely, if ever will she take it off, unless circumstances dictate. The amount of aether the mask gives off is unsettling.
The Huntsman:The Hunstman is one of two weapons Ve will carry on her. The large naginata/spear with an unknown origin has been a weapon of choice and has seen much death being wielded by the Keeper. Despite its daunting appearance, it is rarely ever drawn unless Ve feels herself at absolute risk of danger.
The Lucky Clover: The Lucky Clover is one of two weapons Ve will carry on her. The short bow, adorned with a clover, is Ve's weapon of choice whenever she decides to head towards heavily wooded areas that would otherwise hinder her abilities. The thickened top portion of the bow has been used as a club before incase close quartered combat was inevitable.
Small Oaken Whistle: Ve carries on corded necklace, a small oaken whistle. No one has seen her use it but one such rumor is that Ve has the means of summoning a large beast to her aid whenever she is in trouble in the Black Shroud.
Gil Purse: Ve carries a small purse in which to hold her gil. There isn't a lot.
Personal Notebook: A small notebook that Ve carries. Inside of it is nothing but scribbles and odd drawings. Should one get their hands on this and flip through it, maybe they can find out more about Ve and her mask?
RP Limits
I like to consider myself a flexible player who is willing to commit to a number of different types of scenes and role-play scenarios, but even I have my limits. When it comes to combat RP I am fine with either rolls or freeform. I usually base Ve's losses anywhere between 6 or 7 successful rols against her to avoid long drawn out fights. If you wish to go longer, communicate with me and we can have fun!
I will play The villain/antagonist or the betrayer. Ve was created to be a mysterious character with villain-esque intentions. Mature content (Excessive Language) and themes dealing with: Violence, Kidnapping, Drug or Alcohol use or abuse, Torture. These must be story driven or used as character developement for your toon!
Ask about Long-term and/or permanent injury. Long-term captivity or imprisonment. Rape and character death plots.
I won't play Pure heroics except for those she's close to. I don't want her to die anytime soon so her death is on hold if never. IF you want her to be a hero or some savior be prepared for her to do it for underhanded reasons or at the risk of bystanders. Anything that results in the destruction of her mask since it is vital to her character. You can knock it off, remove it by her consent or have her remove it but it will not be destroyed or stolen until I feel it has served its purpose for Ve's character. Godmoding. If your character is omnipotent being with no real reason as to why other than you saying so, I will Godmode right back to avoid further conflict to Ve. Anything that forces Ve to be OOC.
