This is most prevalent in her chin and jaw, which, combined, taper off into a subtle, Elezen-like point. Her eyes too, share some Elezen-characteristics, but they are much more subtle; smaller and narrower beneath slightly pronounced brows. Surprisingly, she seems to lack scarring on her face, despite her military background -- something which she usually attributes to her fondness of helmets. Vilette's hair usually worn in a ponytail, accompanied with intricately maintained braids. Incredibly expressive brows. Physique & Markings Long legs, lean frame -- Vilette's dextrous nature is visible immediately. While her bone structure is on the narrower side, she makes up for it with an athletic physique; with what muscle she does have being clearly defined. Her arms are pocked with various scars; cuts and nicks accrued over the years; though very few of them look fresh, save for the ones on her hands and fingers. She has a fair, pale complexion. Hygiene & Attire Vilette is an individual who takes personal grooming seriously. Her clothes, like her hair, usually stands on the fine line between practicality and stylishness, and she clearly maintains them to as great a degree as herself. She usually (barring obvious exceptional circumstances) smells faintly of rosemary. Personality Voice Vilette speaks with a light Coerthan accent; and it's clear that she makes an effort to speak proper Eorzean. Though she tries to hide it from her peers, she has a talented singing voice. Philosophy & Mannerisms Tough, blunt, and guarded, Vilette is the obvious result of her military upbringing. Rarely does she speak of herself unless completely necessary; and even then, she tends to (though not always) respond with her usual laconic wit. She values duty and honour above many things, and such ideals colour much of her interactions; resulting in what could be considered as good (albeit forced) etiquette. Has a habit of resting her hand on her sword's pommel. In Vilette's hands, the weapon is a full-length, 48.5 ilm two-handed weapon with a surprisingly close center-of-balance. Lively and agile, Vilette has displayed (on many an occasion) her ability to use the weapon both quickly and accurately. Despite its basic appearance, the weapon sits in an intricately-made leather scabbard (see above picture), and has a strange, swarthy, ripple-like pattern along the blade. The swept crossguard is definitely a new addition to the weapon, and has relatively little scratches on its steel surface. Combat Style ● Le Coeur de Combat: Vilette is a highly experienced practitioner of Coerthan-style combat; specialising in two-handed swordplay. The style emphasises speed and finesse; combining efficient, decisive strikes with quick throws and determined wrestling. Most distinctively, the style's philosophy revolves around the concept of the 'Heart of Battle' -- a belief that all effective fighting styles can be combined around similar principles; encouraging its practitioners to learn and study as many styles as they can. History . Disclaimer: . Sixth Astral Era Childhood Born to a large, and relatively wealthy household in the safer regions of the Western Highlands; Vilette enjoyed an idyllic life as a child in her woodland home. Though she remembers little of her life before Dalamud's fall; what she does, she remembers fondly. She remembers playing by the river with her brothers -- re-enacting famous duels in the War of the Lions. She remembers sitting atop the hill behind the house with grandpa, listening to his tales of adventure in the South. Most of all, she remembers the songbirds in the arbor. These faint memories are all that's left of her life before the unending Winter. (Domans & others not in Eorzea proper). Vilette held a certain degree of respect for what Estelle had done to be exiled, and the pair enjoyed one another's company -- particularly when they tag-teamed their Coerthan snarkiness. Estelle had left Vilette her soulstone after her death. ♦ Elphanse Silmontaix: This friendship was forged in the wake of Elphanse's divorce; and the two have since formed a solid friendship, bonding over their mutual love for booze. ♦ Owen Winters: Childhood friends. Owen, Lucas, and Vilette spent much of their youth together in the Brume, the trio having had dreams to become Dragoons together. Obviously, they all failed.
