Brief Info

Viotteaux Pairair, often called Vio for short, originally came from Gridania, born to a conjurer father and an abusive archer mother. At the age of 21 he arrived in Ul'dah after his father's death and later joined the Thaumaturge Guild. He stayed with the guild for a good twenty years and would soon seek some side work with a free company by the name of Mythril Wings. However due to Mythril Wings involvement in certain magical type events, he lost his career with the Guild and would set out to pursuing his studies on Ancient Mhach. Eventually he would find a Gem of Shatotto and begin to travel the path of a Mhachi Black Mage.

Appearance & Personality

Vio's hair color is black, often with purple high lights if not white and sometimes displays his hair loose or in a single braid. He has tan brown skin and piercing golden eyes. Around his face he has a jagged pattern tattoo around his forehead to his cheeks. The most common colors one would see him in would be black and purple.

Before introduced to Mythril Wings he was, polite, happy go lucky and optimistic. He kept to himself but made it known he did have an interest in the War of Magi and Mhach, showing a bit of a wise and scholarly side to him as well as a desire to make friends and have stable relationships. However over time this would drastically change. He became a bit colder and meaner when it came to certain subjects of slavery and abuse of others. This eventually coaxed out a long suppressed blood lust which only became more wanton and reckless upon his acquisition of a Gem of Shatotto. The more he used his destructive powers, the more blood thirsty he became. There would be times where he would suppress it, but circumstances made it hard to even go back to being nicer. The only times he would ever show a nicer side to him would be when he is either apologizing or with the love of his life Xander.

Recently he has become more mellowed out and less blood thirsty.

■ "Pairair hangs out in Mists alot, he rarely comes to Ul'dah anymore."

■ "Thats him! I heard he killed alot during his time with the Thaumaturges under those contracts...I wonder if he still does them."

■ "I heard he stopped killing when he killed that child. Talk about a wolf in sheeps clothing."

♥ Xander Rifaire : Vio's current fiance. At first Vio wanted to help Xander be happy and did his best not to be pushy. They grew closer and learned to love one another. Even when his secrets (One being his connection to a company enemy: Marielle) were blown out forceful due to Asheloux and Zeph's part in exposing him, Vio still continued to love him even if his real name wasn't Xander. His real name is Leocant Drenier who was thought to be deceased.

♥ Ziaffont Tuitivat Deceased : Vio's former Duskwight fiance . He was murdered by a rival miners in Ul'dah the day before the Calamity. Vio was never able to avenge him and it took him five years to move on.

♥ Adeya Evenar : Felt overjoyed to see another Scholar interested in the War of Magi, specifically Nymn. He looks at her as his friend and a leader befitting the company along with her husband Synn.

♥ Synn Heolstor : At first he was wary of Synn due to not seeing his face, though he is mostly quiet at times, he looks up to him as a friend and co leader of the company with Adeya.

♥ Gil : Xander's adoptive son, Soren's biological son. He tries his best to get to know Gil and make him happy, though parenthood was not in the plans he loves Gil unconditionally and will do anything to protect him.

● Aika Yukitsuna : A good friend in her own twisted way. They clicked immeaditly when he asked her to sleep on her couch. Since then the two share a good balance even if she is on the extreme chaotic side.

● Dionyr Faulkner : At first helped Dionyr calm and come to terms with his powers of being a Summoner and soon the roles were reversed with Dionyr now helping Vio come back to being a more pleasant person.

● Michaux Vidal : At first he was attracted to the Duskwight but upon finding out he was a fellow scholar on Gelmorra, an ancient civilization that predates Gridania, he wanted nothing more than to be friends with this man. He even considered him a best friend, however due to his connection with Zeph, his distrustful feelings and eventual part in Xander's exposure, caused a rift between the two. Presently the two have patched things up and will probably work toward patching up their friendship.

● Ari'ya Mhoki : Does not know what to make of him however he has a nice personality and is pleasant to be around.

● Solenne Lagarde : She is not too likable on occasion but unlike Asheloux she garners some of Vio's respect, though he believes her faith in Asheloux is a fools errand.

● Soren Shieldbreaker : Gets along with him better than he does Asheloux, however he has history with Xander (who at the time was called Leocant), so much so that he began to beat him at the sight of him. Because of this he is weary of the man but still tries his best to cozy up to him and do his best to be friends with him.

● Zephel Balthoux : Zeph at first was despised by Vio due to his involvement with exposing Xander along with Michaux and under the orders of Asheloux, however though he has not seen Zeph since, he has let go and forgiven him. This doesn't change the fact that he is wary of him general.

● Marielle Beaumontaire : She needs to die. Though he has never met her, from what the company, and Xander (formerly Leocant) have said about her makes her public enemy number one attack on sight.

● Asheloux Thalantos : Looks at him as some one who just gives money out rather than the actual leader of a free company. Has little respect for Asheloux due to his actions and over all presentation of himself. He cares little for him believing he crossed lines that shouldn't have been crossed, especially when it came to Xander. Though he has learned to forgive Michaux and Zeph, he has and will probably never forgive Asheloux. Despite that he does have hope that he can change and will actually man up and grow from his problems rather than yell and scream.
