A P P E A R A N C E

Though she is significantly shorter than what most would imagine a woman from Ala Mhigo would be, Ynis still stands on par with the tallest of female midlanders, her fit build reflecting the years of hunting and training. Born with both eyes in an aqua green color, until her left one started turning into a light hazel as she grew older. You will occasionally see her blond hair, which she prefers to keep braided, or up in a messy bun, stained with a shade of camouflage green, the sun spots on her face slightly bruised, and her clothes covered in dirt. Usually, these signs would indicate that she's had a busy day.

Ynis prefers to wear colors and textures usually found in nature. On the field, you will often see her in fur, leather, or even armor made from scales when preparing for combat. Though you would be able to see this influence in her casual clothes, as well, as she enjoys wearing pieces with animal motifs.

B E H A V I O R

Ynis has a mostly hopeful outlook on life, living day to day with a carefree and accepting attitude. Any distressful occurrences she has been through in the past have only made her more curious about the world, so she is generally welcoming to the idea of going to new places and meeting new people. However, due to her upbringing and free-spirited nature, she somewhat lacks the social consciousness to act proper in settings that require it, or to act with more care towards those who come from a completely different background. This can range from being impulsive, to irresponsible, to barbaric, depending on what she does or who you ask.

Often attempting to sell it as confidence, she occasionally likes to act tough, a habit she's picked up from growing up among competitive young hunters and tamers. The most obvious display of this tendency would be her insistence on having the spiciest food available, claiming she could handle it. Despite ending up spending the next sun or two sick and unable to eat anything, she has yet to learn her lesson.

Friendliness aside, she remains to be a lot more trusting of beasts than she ever will be of all other races, as she sees them to be above manipulation and deceit, and will always treat them with kindness and respect unless she has to resort to self-defense. However, once she is close enough to a person, she is an honest and loyal friend.

C O M B A T

Though far from an expert, Ynis has developed a talent for calming and influencing different kinds of beasts, whom she is sometimes able to use for aid to fight alongside her if they were in proximity. She keeps a leather satchel on her person at all times, full of small trinkets, instruments and foods that she may be able to use to lure or treat any creatures she may encounter.

Ynis is also moderately proficient with an axe, using brute force to slash her way through a fight. She doesn't use the largest of axes, as her forearm strength wouldn't allow it. She also occasionally uses a bow for hunting purposes, but does not train with it as often.

She keeps a couple of shivs on her hips, though those are mostly there for cutting her way through wilderness.
