Ari'ya Mhoki
Ari'ya Mhoki Shroud-bred Rose About
Modest of stance, and on the shorter end for male Miqo’te, Ari’ya’s stature is lithe, and willowy. He hasn’t been built for direct combat, and that much is clear; though true to his roots - his form boasts of quiet agility, and his movements cultivate a characteristically Miqo’te kind of grace. Despite his often palpable lack of weaponry, he clothes himself in a typical Conjurer’s robes; white with dashes of red; tied in about the sway of his waist with a simple sash, studded with pins and badges of his very own addition. His demeanour is far from put-together. At a glance, he might look the part of a haphazard vagabond in the first pair of robes he might have happened upon. But on closer inspection - it becomes impossibly clear that these small imperfections, these tears and these scuffs in his clothing and his shoes are all deliberate, or something he doesn’t exactly care to remedy - even if he could. The messy quiff to his rose quartz-coloured hair leaves him with a careless, dishevelled sort of elegance. The white streaks of colour that tip the ends of his hair that he’ll inevitably end up brushing out of his eyes are deliberate, and even the paint upon the crest of his right cheek serves a purpose of its own. His features are doubtlessly refined and delicate. With a pair of mismatched eyes (one a stark, milky white due to his partial blindness, and the other as violet as Mor Dhona's smog), and a pair of full, pink-hued lips, arched (aristocratic) cheekbones, wide, almond-shaped eyes - complete with the Keeper’s signature rounded pupil, and a clean-shaven jaw, his features are only offset by a grizzly burn spanning over the hinge of his jaw, spreading down to the left side of his neck, something he (feebly) tries to cover with his hair, or with a scarf wider than his torso folded, and haphazardly wound about his shoulders. Both of his ears have been pierced a number of times. His left is studded with a simple, silver star, and a crescent shaped moon, while his right is adorned with a lone, hanging pearl. A piercing sits beneath the fuller bow of his lower lip, and his fingers are similarly adorned with a number of light-catching rings, each inlaid with a different gemstone. About his neck sits a crescent-moon pendant, complete with a smiling sun at its heart; such an accessory is rarely far from him, if he isn't already wearing it. Speech & Mannerisms: Ari’s mannerisms are subtle and nuanced, perhaps incredibly easy to ignore. He carries himself with a regal edge, and while he might not look the part of nobility, his movements bely his appearance. He’s slow-moving, receptive to his surroundings, and cultivating of a soundless grace. He’s remarkably perceptive, his lone violet-hued eye is scarcely still for too long, lest his present company interesting enough to solely captivate his attention. He’s always taking in his surroundings, as if his remaining eye might just be taken from him at any moment. His emotions can often be difficult to read, though his tail, and his ears often give him away; as if making up for all the emotion he manages to extinguish from his gaze. His tail is rarely still for long, be it coiled close to his body, or around the leg of a chair or stool he has chosen to sit upon, it is almost aways in motion. Often polite, mannerly, and charming - Ari’s personality is difficult at first to discern. He can be playful, talkative, animated, emotive, eager, excited, introspective, thoughtful, and he can be quiet, introverted, impulsive, reckless, thoughtless (for someone who seems to consider every possible variable to any given situation), single-minded and often silently brazen. Prone to excessive amounts of daydreaming (often to the determinant of the amount of work he aims to complete in a given day), he’s a soul who could be consumed by his thoughts alone for hours on end without ever becoming bored. His thirst for knowledge is what drives him, always seeking to learn more, be it of the Aether itself, or the best ways in which to boil a chicken’s egg, he craves knowledge; and he lacks the means (and gil) at which to acquire it. Ari won't fight unless he aboslutely must, and even then - he's barely skilled in defending himself. What magic he does know lies solely in healing. He doesn't believe that his magic ought to be use for violence, or for trivial matters, viewing it as something of a gift; to be treasured, and prized for what it is. Though, when confronted, his technique is truly a defensive one, and wherever possible, he will try to avoid landing a blow if he can. He isn't well-versed in combat tactics, having never wanted to become a fighter. Nonetheless, Ari is quick, and agile on his feet - his small stature only aids his speed. Voice: Ari'ya's voice is low, and melodic. He barely speaks over a murmur, as if he's perpetually afraid of being overheard, or too-often concerned about making too much noise. His voice comes perhaps deeper than his features might suggest, quiet, and definitely masculine.
