Arietty is a tiny Raen Au'Ra of about twenty years. She was given up at an early age to a scholar who took her to the island of Sharlay to bring her up. She enjoyed about sixteen years of learning and growing up in the 'City of Scholars' as she has put it. At the age of Twenty Two her teacher and keeper died and left her alone. Arietty took her inheritance and left for Eorzea where she founded a school and has been through many adventures.
Rather small in size even for a Au'ra and frail in stature, Arietty spends most of her days at her home lounging around and reading or doing research but still has the stamina to enjoy walks. She almost always has long curly red hair (or white, she can never decide which she likes best), purple eyes with a blue/green limbal ring and small delicate scales that pattern across her brow and accent her pale face who's colour only resides in her lips and eyes. Her face is heart shaped and delicate looking and always fastidiously clean. Ari has large horns instead of ears but they are shaped in the form of almost fins and grant her extraordinary hearing.
Scars & Markings: A long thin scar on her inner right arm, Arietty has no idea how it happened but it's almost faded. She also has a small scar just above her left eye that's only noticeable when looked for.
Voice: Arietty learned to speak Sharlayan first, then doman and finally Eorzean. While her voice is soft and gentle and almost never raised in anger her accent is generally noticeable except if she's either very tired, drunk or cold, then her accent is very thick. She tends to swear in Sharlayan unconsciously but would switch to another language if anyone present can understand her to keep a 'ladylike' appearance.
Clothing: Arietty tries to keep a modest, ladylike, appearance and prefers to wears skirts or leggings no matter what she is doing unless it involves something where pants are a far better choice but the length of her skirt is almost always down to her feet. To go with her skirts she usually picks a nice shirt that covers her arms and doesn't involve anything too revealing.

Arietty is a generally a very warm hearted but quiet girl that was raised by a very distant relation who wanted results above all else. Everything she did, he told her, reflected on him and his standing in the community. To further this not only did he do most of her teaching but also sent her to a small finishing school which is where she gets her manners and gracefulness from despite being blind and as long as she knows the place she is in. Otherwise she can be very clumsy.
When around friends or new people Arietty is the soul of kindness, friendliness and warmth of spirit. She tries to make everyone feel welcome and takes an interest in a person's life and will generally teach out to try and help those in need, usually sacrificing the little gil she generally posses to do so. When speaking about thing she is generally interested in she grows excited and when she wants to do something she can be very impatient.
However, when it comes to her close friends Arietty would anything for them. As for family she currently has none and has only had a taste of what is it like.
Generally, when annoyed or angry Arietty's words will get more flowery and she tends to swear in Sharlayan when really pushed at but she cools quickly and forgives even quicker. She is quick to apologize and admit her own mistakes as well but never lets anyone see her cry when she's truly upset and rarely falls to depression or the like.

Being an Au'Ra with large, forward facing horns her hearing would normally be normal for her race but adding on to her being blind from birth her hearing is exceptional all around. She can usually tell where someone is or who they are depending on familiarity and clothing. Certain doors being opened, weapons being drawn. All are things she can distinguish given that she's been a place long enough.
Arietty is particularly sensitive to Aether unlike anyone she's ever run into before. While out and about the normal world she gets along fine but near anyone with a rather large source of it, large crystals, or casting magic or being around others casting causes her headaches. her headaches are such that if being around aether for long enough get extremely bad and she requires larges amounts of pain relief to get through them. Do to this traveling by Aetherryte is not recommended as she usually passes out immediately.
Arietty has been trained to be a scholar at birth. While she knows a fair amount of practical medicine she can also heal various injuries or shield people in battle from taking any injuries. This however falls back on Aether sensitivity and she's been cautioned to not do this.
After an accident Arietty has been having issues casting magic. This is an ongoing thing and is to be resolved.
Arietty is a school teacher by trade and has a particular interest in languages. So far she can speak Doman, Sharlayan, Eorzean and is currently working on Allagan.
Arietty's memory is one that, with some time, she can recall anything she has ever read, smelt or heard. Depending on how long ago the memory was this can talk seconds, minutes or hours to recall and she needs to meditate to remember.
Arietty never knew her parents. The only thing Scholar Dain ever told her was that they were 'well-connected and wealthy' Raen somewhere in a rich valley in Othard, names were never given and after a while and constant pressure to stop she finally did stop asking but built up a resentment for her parents that continues on to this very day including almost any mention of Othard though she keeps it on lock down pretty well. She can only assume that her being born blind was a large cause of it.
After being given away to the distant relation he took Arietty to his home on the Island city-state of Sharlay which was small but well appointed and comfortable. Scholar Dain was a man who was more concerned with his standing and prestige in the community and since his young ward was now his heir and a part of his household nothing would do but that she should be pushed hard to make him look better. Arietty was sent to a finishing school from a young age and trained privately with her uncle who taught her not only practical medicine but scholarly arts. This was exceedingly difficult for her because of her sensitivity to Aether which made her uncle angry at her slow progress but finally, once she learned a few basic spells, he backed off considerably and Arietty was sent to one of the more famous schools.
At around the age of eight Arietty ran into and was introduced to Micah Hayle, her best friend. He took Ari under his wing and guided her anywhere she wished to go and loved her dearly. When they hit their teen years he tried to push for them to go out but Arietty refused. Micah was heartbroken for a long time but eventually went on to do great things with his life. They are both very good friends to this day.
For a long while Arietty's life was the same thing. Schooling with little fun for herself and keeping the house as neat and tidy as possible in her condition. When she was about sixteen however a pair of glasses were made for people like her and Arietty was well known at that particular university that she was asked to try them. She did and she became so enamored with them regardless of the side effects that she immediately signed up for a course in engineering and has never looked back again.
At the age of Twenty One and after earning a degree in engineering Scholar Dain died of old age and left Arietty everything. She immediately made plans to pack up her household and move to Eorzea despite protests from some friends and signed up for classes on the language. After spending a few months selling most of her possessions she took herself and her library to Eorzea with the intention of founding her own school. There she drifted alone for a while before picking up a few friends and finally a place to stay, the Rest or Wayfarer's of Eorzea.
For almost six months she lived there, making friends and even more. She fell in love with the owner L'rinhi Kett and even gained a brother in L'raha Nunh. She discovered many friends as well, almost too many to be listed. Her school flourished with some hard work and the help of Aulsoix Clemane her friend and co-headmaster. A few months later Arietty got sick for a month. Her mind started to forget days, people or events and she started to get angry, very angry at the little of things. She threw things, screamed and yelled in one minute and the next she was crying and apologizing. It was a very confusing time for her and Arietty was scared that she was going crazy and made preparations for that but in the end it turns out it was a voidsent that jumped from an ancient sword to one of her stuffed animals and was slowly using it's influence to take her over.
After a brief period of heart break and changing she found a new home and a new love. Arietty broke up with her girlfriend L'rinhi Kett and later on another one that was brief. She decided to follow a group of close friends to a new home while her friend and teacher Selarian Cloverbloom and Jasmine Palladino helped her through her breakup. Eventually she and Selarian Cloverbloom would start to date and Jasmine and Arietty became as close as friend as could. After settling in at Haven Arietty worked to find some way to get her magic back from the voidsent but was eventually told that it was in fact her own fault for not being able to control aether. To combat this Arietty got some lessons from her friend Aulsoix and eventually found one to fight. The fight was suppose to be against a mid-tier voidsent but her, Selarian and Jasmine were tricked and a higher-tier voidsent lied in wait. After a long struggle Arietty ended up in a coma, Jasmine had run off and only Selarian was left to pick up the pieces.
After four days in a coma Arietty finally woke up and admitted that she had spent four -months- in the void with her mind drifting. She had managed to bind the voidsent but while doing so she had bound her mind with it and flung both away by accident. Back now she spent two weeks recovering and now is healthy again but without much personal aether at all and the channels that help conduct aether practically burned out, the only positive being that her weakness around aether is now dampened due to how much magic was used against and around her. Arietty fought down her fear but the thing she really wanted now might be forever beyond her reach.
After a month recovering and thinking Arietty has currently decided to learn how to defend herself and the people she loves. She has picked up exercises and running to build up her strength. After finding a Allagan recipe that restored vision Arietty and Selarian spent almost a month preparing a potion that let Arietty see again, including for the first time Colours and along with this wonderful news she is with child and almost two months pregnant.
Almost two months later.. Arietty has been living a quiet life, enjoying her work and life in general. Things were quiet until she came one day to find out her twin, Hikari, had survived the accident that was supposed to have killed her several months earlier. Arietty is amazed at the news and has spent much of her time learning about her twin who has decided to found a free company, Azeyma's Oath.

Stances on RP: Usually heavy RP, with humane character development and growth. Modest characters, lasting and creative plots. I don't mind some lore bending but out right breaking will lead to me avoiding RP with said character.
Hooks and relationships: Really open about anything really just ask! As for relationships Arietty has no ties that I haven't already covered with a pc except for maybe a 'distant friend' from Sharlay. As for hooks the most recent ones are already listed in the wiki and should be up to date.
RP combat and injuries: I'm up for any style of combat be it the fate14 or dice rolls or even random. As for injuries I could agree to most as long as none of them are permanent. Arietty however is not a fighter and shouldn't be asked to participate except as a healer.
