Build: Lean- If any detail of Isarn is immediately apparent, it's his weathered visage that seems to have beheld the worst of The Dragonsong War. Tired eyes sit deep in their sockets, encircled in dark, wrinkled skin, apathetically regarding anyone he deems to be uninteresting. Cracked lips rarely pull themselves into a smile, perpetually sitting in a glum expression. The easiest way to get a rise out of him is to mention the loss of the Archbishop. An unholy, seething rage can be seen welling in his trembling eyes every time he's reminded.

Biography- The path to piety is one not easily walked, and for Isarn, it came with great personal sacrifice. Decades of vivacious youth were spent cramped away in the Scholasticate, studying dogmatic scriptures in the candlelight, all day and all night. His fervent work lent itself to building a sense of radical zeal uncommon even to The Holy See, producing a young firebrand cleric who was happy to rebuke all sinners in his sight. This righteous thirst for blood, however, was never sated in his youth. His loathing only festered like a putrid wound, writhing in his core until Nidhogg's recent resurgence.
- Isarn kept quiet as Sir Aymeric took Ishgard's throne; he knew well that outing himself as one of Archbishop Thordan's loyalists would do him no good. He watched with a silent stare as a bastard assumed the holy throne due to the vile scheming of sinful outsiders. What he realized in his silence, however, was that the foreigners could make themselves useful for his own desires, too. All they needed was a proper guide.
- Now given an excuse for a holy onslaught, he is eager to seize the strings of fate and do whatever he must to restore The Holy See to its former sacrosanct glory. Leading the Black Sun Covenant, a formal congregation of pilgrims from the Ishgardian Orthodox Church, he plans to spread his faith either by persuasion or by the sword.

Commonly heard
- ■ "Father Lacordaire? Not as subtle as he thinks. We all see him taking sips from his flask between sermons." - Anonymous
- ■ "Don't let the miter and cassock fool you; Father Lacordaire could have been your average drunkard and wife-beater, had he not taken up the cloth. I bet he did it just so he could feel high and mighty over us folk in The Brume." - Anonymous
Occasionally heard
- ■ "He has a temperament that not even a nun could tolerate. In fact, they avoid him daily due to it." - Gerraldieux Cistault
- ■ "I don't think I've seen him smile ever since the snow started to fall. Every day he looks a varying degree of downtrodden." - Gilbrillont
Rarely heard
- ■ "The gossip-hungry hounds of The Brume may say as the wish, but I can see it in his eyes that Father Lacordaire's wrath stems from love. He loves his city far too much to see it crumble. Truth be told, I remember he was once as mild as a lamb." - Elicia Gauthier
