Character

General

Jhaiel was born to refugees of Ala Mhigo after it was invaded 20 years ago. Born not too long after, she grew up under the careful eyes of her parents, who struggled to make ends meet. Her father, Owend Frost, eventually began a successful business with hunting, and even struck up friendships with some of the seeker tribes who hunted the southern deserts of Thanalan.

Her mother, Tove Frost, capitalised on her training in the Ala Mhigo style of pugilism, taking to bloodsports as a way to supplement income. As Jhaiel grew up, she was taught her mothers unique way of fighting, adapting it to her own methodical ways of thinking. She, like her mother, favours Holds, Throws and dislocation/bone breaking to outright soft tissue damage.

After Tove passed away from a sickness running through the waters when they were out in Black Brush when Jhaiel was 12 cycles old, she saw it as a time to step up to the plate for her father and take on more responsibility. A quiet and serious child, she took to the chance to prove herself in her fathers eyes and more.

At sixteen she began taking extra work from the Flames for dangerous creatures, using them as a way to collect bounties as well as harvest the animal in the way her father had taught her. Both her work in Owend's skinning and tanning company and the bounty work have kept her fairly busy, but of late she's felt an itch and after witnessing a particularly interesting match in the 'Sands has decided to come see if there are others as talented as this.

Appearance

Of average, middling height for a Highlander, Jhaiel is still rather bulky in frame in her shoulders thanks to her rigorous training. Visually, she has long honey blonde hair, pale blue eyes and red lips (she never takes the rouge off for anyone). Preferring bold colours, Jhaiel also enjoys wearing clothes that compliment her.

Despite hard work and dangerous work (sometimes) she remains scar free. When her hair is brushed from her left eye, she has a mole underneath it.

Behaviour

Cool, calm and collected. Jhaiel is the type to carefully think things through before taking action. She is extremely methodical and enjoys precision and planning. When it comes to interacting with others, she is polite at all times, whilst maintaining some distance; she doesn't trust those she doesn't know well, and even when she becomes close, she finds it difficult to joke around or open up well.

When not trying to socialise or doing work for the Immortal Flames/Her father, Jhaiel spends a good amount of time in reflective thought. It's not uncommon to find her staring off into space with a distant look in her eyes.

Combat

Jhaiel is a thinker, meaning she takes her time before rushing into a fight. In combat though, she utilises much of her mothers fighting style, including throws, holds and dislocations. She focuses on disabling the enemy, rather than outright slaughter. That's not to say she can't and won't fight when the time comes, but as has been said to her many times:

"Never throw a punch you don't mean. If you do mean it, though, make sure it shatters bone."
