Basic Info
Jochi is quite kind under most conditions.He tends to be non confrontational. His Stature and appearance ,however, make him seem rather imposing. He claims to be a merchant but refuses to discuss business outside of working hours. He's quick to spend gil on exorbitant objects and yet always seems to have more. His demeanor completely changes when his honor is threatened and will never refuse a challenge. He becomes ruthless in competition and is unforgiving if he loses. Jochi is generally unfazed by Sokha's "antics"and if anything finds them amusing.

Appearance & Personality
- Jochi is a tall, well built, blue skinned Xeala. His height is enhanced by his hair, which stands on end. He's generally very sharply dressed and usually wears shaded spectacles to hide his white limbrals as he feels they might be to intimidating to the other races. His Horns hug the side of his face and are his pride and joy. He had them capped when he came to Eorzea. He has a habit of using them and didn't want them chipped.
- Jochi is a very private person. He's not opposed to meeting new people but tends to avoid certain topics. He like to discuss the study and practice of all types of magic with others. His honor and competitiveness can sometimes get in the way of making friends(especially when he loses). Whenever in conversation, he chooses words carefully and never reveals any trade secrets (including his hair). When his ego takes over, he can become rather elitist, especially with other Au Ra (other then Sokha).
Biography
1552-1564(Childhood)
- Jochi was raised, like all Gorlos, in the Hornet's Nest. The Hornet's Nest was the tunnel system and home created by the Gorlos tribe in the Othard mountains. His childhood was rather privileged as he was the selected mate of the chief's daughter. The upper tier of Gorlos tribe had a fascination with magic. Jochi was taught alongside Sokha in the ways of magic, though his affinity was more varied then hers, she specialized in the dark arts of black magic.
- He saw very little of the lower tier of his own tribe, only knowing they were slavers by trade, selling anyone they defeated in combat (mostly other xaela tribes) to the Garleans. Most of the Gorlos tribe only spoke their own language but as one who would have to deal with the Garleans in the future, Jochi was taught the common tongue. He had no other friends other than Sokha growing up and the occasional servant.
1565-1568(Teenage)
- When Jochi reached the age of Manhood in his tribe (13) he was allowed to interact with the others of his tribe. He was quite liked by the lower tier. He would frequently join hunting parties to aquire Bool Makh (Slave Meat in Gorlos). He was seen as a great strategist and hunt leader. His skills in combat were lacking however. On most hunts, Jochi would support his companions with magic, not martial prowess.
- On one such hunt, his party was caught off guard by a much bigger Xaela tribe and were forced to flee. They attempted to cover their tracks and split up. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough. They were tracked back to the Hornet's Nest and the slaughter ensued. The Gorlos were severely outnumbered. Jochi remebers very little between this event and leaving Doma.
-1576-1577
- Jochi lost eight years, as though it simply didn't happen. No memories or scars to show for it. He was drained, mentally and physically, as though he went through some kind of trauma. The only thing he knows, Sokha is why he's alive. He doesn't know what she did, what happened to the tribe, and Sokha clearly wasn't sharing. Sokha has acted strange since then. She Speaks in riddles or sees "things". She told me we were going to leave by boat to Eorzea and start fresh.
- The Domans started Evacuating to Eorzea in huge numbers. However, Sokha and Jochi were not allowed on the large ships. Jochi's sickly appearance had the Doman's worried that whatever illnes he had would spread. Somehow, Sokha persuaded a nearby captain to "kindly relinquish" his fishing boat.
- As they drew closer to Eorzea, their ship was raided by a small band of pirates. Jochi remebers little of this event as well, only to regain awareness and notice the ship's deck was covered in dead pirates. There was only one left, a Roegadyn woman, standing in front of him, unmoving, fist cocked, and staring into the void that was Sokha's eyes. That woman learned true fear that day.
- Jochi finally came to and tried to diffuse the situation. They decided to hire Glazwyb, the Roegadyn Nudarga (Fist). Sokha and Jochi had no clue of Eorzea and it's customs, they needed a guide and potentially a guard. Glaz taught them how to adapt to this new land and exposed them to the kind of dirty work she would get involved in.
- Jochi and Sokha decided to settle in Ul'dah. Jochi adjusted rather well to his new home. Making connections in the vast networks of merchants came easy to him and so did making gil. He became rather successful but no one is quite sure at what.
Present
- Jochi and Sokha currently take up residence in the lavender beds within their free companies private chambers.
