Height: 6'9"
Weight: 185 Ponz
Build: Athletic

This elezen seems a bit bulkier than most of his kind, sacrificing a bit of the natural litheness of his kind in favor of muscle tone. His strong posture and experience-filled green eyes gives him the appearance of a sentry, one who takes pride in his duty to watch over others. He always seems to be calm, if not a little tired when not occupied with other activities. His face appears a little more grizzled than most elves. His skin is lightly tanned and marred by many scars from his many years on the frontlines. Most of these scars are light and seem accent his features. His once onyx-like hair now begins to show the signs of his years. The skin of his palms is rough, showing the toughness that only years of working with your hands can provide.

Biography

Kaldirent was born as the oldest son to a line of knights. While not noble, they enjoyed a more than adequate life among the Holy See. Once Kal was of age, he joined the order of Temple Knights, following in the line to serve the people of Ishgard. There he trained, fought, and lived among knight both noble and not, learning a variety of combat styles including swordplay and heavy weapons. In his time with the Knights, he befriended a young noble by the name of Vassort Fedier. The two were near inseparable with Erdent often inviting Kal back to his family home anytime they returned from training or assignment for a celebratory meal and drink with his family, including his sister Vaifinne.
After all of the family had gone to bed one night, Kal and Vaifinne were left alone, drunk beyond reason. Despite her betrothal to Adrent of House Tiduet, next in line to run his noble house, their drunken state lead them into a bed together. The result lead to the conception of a child. It would not take long for healers, in service of her father Tellix, patriarch of House Fedier, tending the noble woman to discover that her recently betrothed was not the father of the child she bore. Upon discovery of the child's lineage, Tellix worked a deal with Kaldirent. If Kal would leave the Holy See without word to anyone and allow him to use his political scheming to spin that the child was in fact Adrent's, then the child would be raised as a proper noble. If Kal failed to do so, he promised that there would be no child instead. The young Kal relented, accepting the exile and moving to the South without word to anyone, not even his own family.
Sixteen years was spent in the south, Kaldirent chose to hide within the Black Shroud and Gridinia, where a fair skinned Elezen could easily go about without notice. He assumed the role of a Wood Wailer for a time, using his former military training to the best of his abilities, until nerve returned enough to the defeated man to leave. He began to travel the world he had been castaway to, taking whatever job he could to keep his sanity. He kept contacts back home, making sure that his daughter, Amette, was well taken care of and that her grandfather kept his word, until the day she was forced to leave the Holy See as well to seek out her father.
