Appearance

Some might say, Kris is classically handsome with green eyes, and light blond hair, and sun kissed sun. There's a boyish innocence to his smile that offset his rather imposing figure. He's tall and strong with a broad chest and arms. There is no pretension or flashiness to his appearance, and despite hsi face and build, most people would over look him at first glance. His clothing tends to be unremarkable but comfortable. He favors cotton shirts and simple pants and trousers. He does have a suit of heavy armor, but he avoids wearing it too much as it gets hot.

About

Kristopher's life has always been a pretty damned good one, at least, if you ask him. He grew in the countryside near Limsa Lominsa. His mothers, an Ala Mhigan Refugee and a Thavnarian Merchant woman. He and his sister were well loved and provided for, and often encouraged to pursue whatever they loved in life. As a child Kris loved exploring and was out combing as much of the La Noscea countryside as he was allowed. Once he hit his teenage years, he began to work on a nearby farm to make his own extra gil. During the nights, he'd sneak away to watch the yellow jacket's train, copying their techniques. Once he was a full adult, he set out on his own. Equipped with an old axe and dinged up- but sturdy- armor, he joined the adventurer's guild and as been traveling Eorzea doing what he can ever since.

Notes:
Kris and his sister have no blood relation to either of their parents. It doesn't matter to them, they love each other just the same.
Kris's sword and axe play is mostly self taught from watching soldiers train, as well as more wealthy boys spar.
He's got a deep smooth voice. He speaks with perfect grammar thanks to his mother's strict training.

PERSONALITY

The best word to describe Kristopher is genuine. He's kind, unassming, and honest to a fault. He's not the type to lie or cheat his way into something, preferring hard work and effort. He has a strong sense of justice and will often fight for those he feels are oppressed or struggling. He's the type of person who works hard for what he has, and what he wants. Like many youth, he's prone to being a bit stubborn and often disregards the advice of those older and more experienced than him. He's also bit naive and gullible and has fallen into a few traps thanks to not using his head first. Still, he's plenty friendly, and one of the people that honestly come across as "good."

WEAKNESSES

Naive, He's not really the most experienced of the bunch and he tends to trust to easily. He's been deceived more than a few times.
Strong Temper- While he's very slow to anger, Kris's temper is bad once it's triggered. He can sometimes get violent and often holds a grudges for far longer than necessary.
Headstrong- Once he sets his mind to something, there's no changing it. Unfortunately that's lead to him learning a lot of lessons "the hard way."

Technique/Weapons

Currently, Kristopher has had no formal training in combat. His experience has come from watching yellow jackets and other fighters, and his own experience in the few adventuring jobs he's taken. He's actually a pretty talented fighter and has managed to hold his own in combat a few times, but he definitely will fall to anyone with real technique and training. He's got a strong guild, and his normal method of fighting involves swinging whatever weapon he's got as hard and as fast as possible until something goes down. He's great against monster and mindless opponents, but trained warriors won't have too much trouble with him.
Weapon: Kristopher's axe is obviously old, but finely crafted. Made of Ishguardian steel, the handle is solid wood and long enough to extend his already impressive reach by quite a bit. The blade is a bit chipped on the edge, but sharp and shiny. It's obviously been well cared for since coming into his possession.

OOC information for YOU

Roleplay combat can be fun, used to progress the story, and serve to break up the monotony of everyday rp. However, I do have a few things to note for those wishing to engage in roleplay combat with me!
I prefer the honor system to rolls: Random rolls are 100% fine assuming characters are evenly matched. (In fact, in such situations, they're also preferable.) However, as a good amount of times one character tends to have a strong edge on another. In such cases, I prefer to simply agree on an outcome before hand, and roleplay out the fight as we see fit. Please note that I'm also 100% fine with Kristopher losing in a fight. In fact, he's not very experienced so most of the time, against a better trained opponent he will lose! While his ego may be bruised, I think defeats help to further a character more than victories.
Kris usually, only fights when he has to: He's human (hyur w/e) and sometimes he can have a bad temper, but for the most part, Kris isn't the type to leap into a fray without good cause. Unless he's defending someone else, he's much more likely to walk away than to swing.
I'm not here to feed your inferiority complex: I'm sorry, but if you're looking to fight my character to oocly prove something, I'm not for you.

For Kris, his Mama was the one who instilled values, and respect, into him. They clashed the most often when he was growing up- His wanderlust was a constant state of worry. However, at the end of the day they loved each other. She helped him fund the money needed to purchase his first suit of armor and often sends him funds when adventuring isn't going his way.

Kris's Thoughts "She's one of the most impressive women I've ever met. An refugee from Ala Mhigo, a hard worker, brave resilient and kinder than anyone I know. She's always been Mom to me, and she's really just the damned best."
Amarinta used to regale Kris with stories of Ala Mhigo and her own adventures in her youth. She instilled in him the desire to explore, to fight for justice and make the lives of those he loved better. She always encouraged him to follow his heart, even though it often got her in trouble with Tayera.

Six years his junior, Tess is Kris's favorite person in the world. He's been fiercely protective of her ever since she came into his life when he was only seven years old. He dotes on her, as brother's tend to do on their younger siblings, and often sends her back trinkets and books he finds while adventuring.

Roleplay is meant to be fun! I'm here for all sorts of roleplay be it a long and in depth adventure, to a simple fortune telling, to a nightly romp in the woods. So long as everyone is enjoying it and leaves the roleplay feeling satisfied, I'm not particularly picky. I do ask that the lines of OOC and IC stay very clearly drawn. I am not my character, and you are not yours. What they feel for each other is not reflective of our own feelings.
Personal RP Limits
I don't have very many hardcore limits honestly as I feel consequences must be adhered to when RPing any character regardless of whom they might be. However there are a few exceptions to this and they are as follows.
I will play Sexual roleplay themes/Erp, violence, romances (maybe), longer story lines, heavy mature themes (Drug use, illegal activity, implied rape/torture, death (npc), ect.) Lighthearted roleplay, slice of life roleplay, romance, roleplay combat.
I won't play Roleplay anything sexual involving underage characters or lalafell, (Not negotiable.) Allow my character to be killed. Roleplay with godmodders (unless ooc consent is giving before hand), do most scenes involving heavy torture, mutilation or death (unless heavily discussed before hand.) Drastically change or adjust Kristopher to fit a specific partner without valid story reasons.

I'm a strong believer in the concept of IC actions having IC consequences. If your character robs a bank, he should have a warrant. If one is badly injured, they'll need time to recover ect. It makes the roleplay a bit more believable as well as adds to the immersion for me..
Between real life, other roleplay and social obligations, and general moods, I won't always be up for roleplaying with you. Please respect that there will be times when I say "No I'm not up for it," and leave it at that. In return, I'll always respect this in you and will never push or fuss about roleplay.

Potential Plot Hooks
While the below is by no means comprehensive, it's a kind of spring board for walk-up RP.
■ Fellow Adveturer? Kris is always trying to meet others like him, to get into the action with back up.
■ Trainer/Teacher. Kris has a lot of potential, but his style is unfocused. He could certainly use a real master with the sword or axe to get him going.
■ Childhood Friend, Random Encounter. He's a friendly guy, just stop by and say hello.
