WIP WIP WIP

Lynnette Nyvenia Dracht is a an Ishgardian-born midlander hyur that has been thrust of the confines of the Holy See's walls and into the outer world it so preciously had kept out for years. Whether or not they call her a heretic or an exile, the woman has been gone for over several summers. Though the Holy See's church and politics may be something she despises, there's a yearning in her heart, her soul to go back home. To step in the city-proper once more is only but a yearning dream. Yet the Gates have opened. So perhaps it may not be that far off.

Basic Info

LIKES

Musics - Not only because she deals with this trade on a daily basis, but music calms the heart. Whenever she hears of stories of home, it calms her nerves and brings her as close as possible without actually being there. Plus, when festivals occur, they bring about great sources of information that she may not get to hear otherwise from across the lands.
Travelling - Going between the city-states has its advantages and seeing the world is one of them. It means meeting new people and finding out new things. Though not one to stay in any of the cities too, too long, she's picked up some of their traditions and enjoys seeing them all during different times of the year to understand how each place functions and how life is, actually, lived.
Children - As much as she would had to admit, she enjoys watching the young ones playing wherever she travels and singing for them. They, to her, are innocent and don't fully understand the brutalities of the world. And to be honest, Lynnette's rather jealous of it. Most often in Ul'dah, if she sees a child without food, she will go out and by them a days worth along with a night in the inn if she is fully able to afford it that day in time.

DISLIKES

Temple Knights of the Holy See - While some would find these people just mundane, Lynnette does her best to keep a clear distance away from them at all costs possible. She never knows which will recognize her and which will not. The ones in Coerthas Central seem to not know of her face, but that doesn't mean she turns a blind eye to those. Who knows when the rotations and stations will change.
Snakes - Having a bad run in with these within the confines of Gridania and Thanalan, she's developed a small fear of these creatures. She can handle other other reptiles but these. And the fact the Adders are called the Serpents just makes her sigh in disblief.
Being Alone - Maybe she just can't be away from the closeness of people, but after being forced away from home, from family, Lynnette can't stand the fact that she very well may be alone in this wide open world. Even if she must push herself in rooms with strangers for nights of pleasurable (or mostly unpleasurable nights), the woman will try to keep herself surrounded as much as possible. And will only stay alone if she does need space or if she would like to rest.

Appearance & Personality

Not typical of the standard Ishgardian, Lynnette's appearance is marked as somewhat of a mystery. Red hair and darker skin are far from the ideal fair skinned and light blonde hair that many of the Holy See seem to have. Perhaps because of her poorer nature and spending time out in the sun could attribute to the complexion - not only after she left Ishgard but before it, when the snowy lands were not common place. Her eyes sparkly light a light bluish-gray sky one finds on a clear day in the Holy See or in Limsa Lominsa.

Biography

Information is OOC knowledge that Lynnette may or may not reveal to your character. Treat this as such please, as some of it is information that even the most trusted person Lynnette may know would have to dig deep to get.

Childhood

Born to Alderic and Jacinthe Dracht, Lynnette Nyvenia Dracht was born into the infamous Brume within the Holy See of Ishgard, second born after the first-born daughter. While life was less than ideal in that portion of the city, her father managed to keep them somewhat comfortable on a Temple Knight's pay. That was until her two younger brothers came around. Her sister and she were sent to one of the churches in order to get a small education during a small time of peace against the Dravanians. Here, she would learn the basics of reading and some writing, though compared to someone of high birth, it was nil. There is not much that Lynnette really remembers from her early childhood besides going for the few times in her education, but nothing too large of note has happened for her to bother reminiscent about the past.

Teenage

Boring childhood as she had, Lynnette's teenage years were something far different and far more consequential towards her future. There came a time when the family grew on harder times, as they grew older, it meant more gil going out. And it forced she and her sister to find someway of supplying money for the family. While he sister went the route of tailoring for the odd gil here and there, Lynnette chose to go into training to be a Temple Knight. Not only would she be allowed shelter and food, but the small stipend the midlander would receive would be enough for her to send home to her brothers who were not of age yet to join either the Temple Knights or the Dragoons.
During her training, things went on as normal, practicing the sword, the shield, and the bow. While Lynnette did not excel at any of the three, she did learn them well enough to use them. This continued for two to three years. At the end of the third year, the young Ishgardian was at an age where her skills would be tested and she'd have to go through a trial to earn her rights as a Temple Knight. This was not going to be a hard task for her. Other rather, it should not have been. On the eve of her trial, it was announced that she herself and several of the recruits she had trained with would be scouting out an exterminating heretics for the Holy See. That was easy, that was something she could do. Lynnette was prideful for her country and thus, these heretics should be eliminated. Paired off into groups, she and another female recruit had gone into Coerthas Western Highlands in search of these heretics that were last spotted in the north. Did they find them? Yes. But what happened afterwards was something Lynnette never intended. Why would anyone think it would?
Heretics were found, but there were adults and children. Not being the 'leader' of the duo, it was decided the other female, an Elezen, would take the adults and Lynnette would get the children. And that is where the trial for her came to an immediate halt. The children there were no older than ten and in retrospect, they were only years younger than her and had lives to live. She refused. One thing led to another. It resulted in a blood curdling scream from her fellow and the rush of one of her superiors. Not one that entirely liked her. Again, she had to fight, this time, bloodied. Having to run through the lands and skipping Ishgard all together was her only choice in getting out alive. Even if she would be marked a heretic.
Life went on, she escaped to Gridana to the mill in the Northern Shroud. There, she was able to heal - no questions asked as long as she paid. Lynnette would be scared in two places regardless of the magicks to help her. She could not go back to Ishgard. Not yet, not until some of this had passed over.
Her teenage years remained in Gridania proper, where she would continue her bow lessons along with taking a mentor to help her with the harp and flute. It was also under this man's guidance that she should also take up singing lessons, her voice and stories interesting to him. She did as such, practicing here and there everyday until she decided she was wanting to travel over the lands of Eorzea.

Present

Currently she is working and Wayfarer's Rest as a Waitress after meeting Casmi Hawke during the 5th Umbral Moon. Since then, she has taken up residence there as well as working. She's seen as a vetern at keeping those at the bar happy and tends to have some good bar tending skills. How, she attributes it to her days when she went to taverns and those cup games. (Who would have known those would come in handy!)
The Ishgardian woman is also pregnant with Casmi's child and is around two months along.

"Damned be the Lover, I've seen her with a different man everyday this week. Though... it's odd, sometimes they leave in the middle of the night. She a picky lady?" - Gossiping old hag in Ul'dah
◢ Rare Rumors (Very difficult or rarely overheard)
"She stays with a bunch o' misfits in the Goblet. Granted, that bard seems like one herself." - Barmaid in the Quicksand
"Mark on her face? Dunno. Must've been after she got here to Gridania. Bloodied as much as she was in that armor of hers. Ishgardian armor too. Bless her soul she made it out alive. Whatever she did, I heard a lot of 'em don't make it out alive when heresy is involved." - Gridanian Resident, in Hyrstmill.
◢ PC Rumors (Rumors from the character's of other players)
"An interesting woman, if nothing else. She has a voice that could lull you to sleep, a vibrant personality to keep you awake, but those eyes stand out the most; I've seen a lot of beautiful women in my years, but her gems outshine anything out of Eorzea." - Casmi Hawke
"That's my Lynnie! Only family I have. She'll beat the shite out of you if you mess with her family, though. She also used to be a total drunk before she got pregnant. Oh, don't tell her I said that, though. I can't wait for her to have the baby so maybe she can be a little fun again." - Gracie Singer

RELATIONS

💘 Sexual Desire 💗 Platonic Love In love with 💑 In a relationship Good Standing Neutral Standing Poor Standing
💑 Casmi Hawke : Another Ishgardian man that shares a similar fate and lifestyle as she does. Though their meeting was set through a third party, Lynnette has found herself somewhat entranced by Casmi. She finds him interesting and wants to find time to meet with him. Though she knows they physically appreciate one another and that should be that, her heart tells her different - which scares her. Despite what her heart feels right now, the woman wants to keep him close, no matter where it may end up heading.
Aoi Obinata : Meeting in Costa Del Sol, these two did not exactly hit it off well at first. Both were fairly suspicious of the other considering how they acted towards one another. However, as time went one, the Au Ra and Lynnette were able to connect and now they share a room in the Goblet. However, Lynnette noticed there is something off about her aether between day and night. While she doesn't ask questions, the woman wishes to one day figure out why it happens.
Kaiz Kha : Met at the same time she met Seras. He seems to be a little simple, but Lynnette and he made out to be good friends right away. Not exactly sure what she's going to do with him since Kaiz seems all too innocent, the woman's made friends with him. And she's awaiting to see how he grows, even if he doesn't know it.
Valon Vaindelaux : An Ishgardian dragoon that Lynnette has come into contact within the reaches of Gridania. Though their initial reactions towards each other were filled with some hostility and sarcasm, somehow they were able to talk it out. Lynn still has her reservation, him being an Ishgardian of all people. And he's made it a point he has them of her as well. As far as she is concerned currently, there's no immediate threat on her life and they were able to leave on a good note.
