P E R S O N A L I T Y

Maqali is far too innocent and trusting for his own good, and it will get him in trouble one day. He is new to Eorzea, and barely understands the language. This normally only leads to hysterical misunderstandings (one such instance ending in his boss' new couches suddenly and mysteriously sprouting arrows), but it has been a source of frustration for many. While Maqali is an excellent hunter, he doesn't know much about anything else, which becomes painfully obvious the more one talks to him.

A P P E A R A N C E

What Maqali wears depends entirely on what he is doing, and where he is. Normally you can see him in one of his many dresses. His favorite one was a gift from a friend. An ornate red silk dress, complete with cuffs. Catch him in the wilderness and you will see him in his dark fur dress, a pelt covering his head. Catch him alone and relaxing, you're likely to find him naked as the day he was born, or very close.

His face is not the only thing he paints. He paints his horns and exposed scales as well. There is paint all over this man. If you get to know him well enough, you'll be able to tell his mood from a mile away, depending on what color he has his body covered in.

Scars: Starting with his face. He has four large, diagonal gashes going from his left cheek to his right temple. There is a matching set on his chest, should you ever see him without a shirt on. Both arms are littered with small, random scars all over.

L I K E S ■ Hunting. One of the few things he can do well, hunting is a favorite past time. Especially when hunting in groups, as it gives him a chance to bond with others. ■ Fur/Fuzzy Things.The feel of fur is a comfort for this man, hence why he has several pelts and furs surrounding his sleeping and living areas.. ■ Miqo'te. Almost all of Maqali's friends are Miqo'te, more than half of those of the Keeper variety. While he prefers Keepers (part of his time in the Twelveswood was spent with a Keeper tribe), he doesn't discriminate between the two. Both Keepers and Seekers have such fluffy ears....

D I S L I K E S ■ Dotharl. For obvious reasons. He had promised to put an arrow in the heart of any Dotharl he is unlucky enough to meet, but recent events leave him wondering if maybe the tribe has changed... ■ Fancy words. Eorzean, to be specific. He can barely understand the simple words, but when someone starts spouting the fancy stuff? He is completely lost. Best to just grunt, nod, and hope they shut the hell up soon. ■ Magic. He's had several bad experiences with magic, one of which landed him in big trouble with his boss. Suffice to say, he does not like the stuff. Please keep your magic to yourself, unless you want an angry/scared Xaela heading your way.

P C Expand Noze'a Thamyu' ( < ♥ ) Fiance ' Maqali met Noze'a at Gehr'ir's camp. Maqali does not like to go anywhere without the Miqo'te, though he will if he has to. The other caretaker of their charge, Quill. Expand Quill Danvarre ( ♥ ) - Quill Quill is someone very close to Maqali, though he couldn't really tell you what exactly he is. He's more than a friend, but not a partner. More like a kid? He and Noze'a have been referred to as his two dads before...He met him through a mutual friend, and by some twist of fate has started taking care of the boy, as if he were the Au Ra's child. The misunderstandings have since been explained, and Maqali now considers the woman a close friend.

P C Expand Tufh'to Ananke ( ♦ ) - Tuft If you ask how these two met, Maqali wouldn't answer you. However, he will tell you that he considers the pretty courtesan a friend, and that's about the most you are going to get out of him in regards to Tuft. Expand Gehr'ir Ett ( ♦ ) - Mister Fluffy Ears Gehr'ir has proven to be not only a close friend, but a mentor of sorts. Dubbed "Mister Fluffy Ears" because, until recently, Maqali could not pronounce his name. Expand Sanrai Bayaqud ( ● ) - The Tease Maqali's meeting with Sanrai was...interesting. Coerced into asking random women in the quicksand if they want to go to bed with him (and him not understanding what he was asking due to a language barrier), Sanrai was the only one to explain to him exactly what was being said. She did so in a very...interesting way. She definitely left a lasting impression Expand Antoinaut Fierlaine ( ? ) - Anty Dubbed 'Anty' only because Maqali cannot, for the life of him, say the Elezen's full name. Anty is a new addition to Maqali's circle, though very few know their exact relationship. He'd prefer it stays that way, but his little secret seems to be leaking out ever so slowly.... Expand Lamia Vuinuet ( ● ) - Owner of the Wanderer's Respite Maq doesn't know Lamia very well, but what he does know is that this man is /very/ pretty, and can make a mean cup of tea. That, and the food that can be found at the Wanderer's Respite is <fucking> delicious. He has every intention of returning, both for the food and more conversation with the Elezen and his mate.
