SCALES... For the most part, Nariko's scales are perfectly white and intact. The only thing to note is two black-scaled horns sprouting out of the top of her head. DEMEANOR Nariko is a very curious Raen. She may try a little bit too hard to be social, a new habit formed from spending years in solitude. She is never purposefully spiteful, or mean. She wants to be friends with everyone and will go out of her way to try and please people. She asks -a lot- of questions, feeling as if she is stupid for not knowing most things. Years doing nothing but hunting made her feel like she missed out on an education, and she is striving to get one by learning through others. HISTORY Chapter One Growing up, Nariko did not know the conventional ways of Raen or Xaela living, not really belonging to either tribe. Her mother, a Raen seamstress and her father, a Xaela of the Qalli tribe met while out washing their clothing in a lake between their respective homes. They carried on their relationship in secret, and eventually they left when her mother became pregnant. Her mother taught her how to sew- her father taught her how to sing and play. She grew up happy enough with the two of them, but was always kept away from others due to the multi-colored set of horns upon her head. One day, while Nariko was out gathering firewood for the three of them, her mother and father were slain by a few members of the Dotharl tribe. She decided then and there to leave Othard and make her way to Eorzea. Chapter Two Now living in Eorzea was not easy for the young Nariko. Most people had never seen anyone with scales before, so the woman covered herself with a cloak and tried to pass herself off as a Miqo'te. She would introduce herself to people as 'Nick' the Adventurer and explain that she had a skin condition and could not remove the cloak. Though, she did not have to explain this often, mostly keeping to herself. She made few friends during this time. Once the rest of the refugees fled to Eorzea, Nariko was able to take the cloak off and show herself for who she is. And now she is making up for lost time, trying to make some friends in this world.
