Physical Notes: Rena is of seemingly average build and size, but under her modest physique lie many years of experience cage fighting and hand to hand combat. It is easy to underestimate her from first glance. Not a brute by any standard, extensive training has bestowed her with incredible burst strength and quick hands instead of overt physical strength. Instead of hulking muscles, Rena derives much of her strength from her strong, well-developed legs. As a developing fighter, she was often found lacking the upper body strength to contend with the alpha males of the more burly races, thus she developed her legs into devastating weapons. Enabling her to now leap to astonishing heights and deliver bone shattering kicks, they are the key to her incredible strength. Muscles concealed, there is little that denotes her aptitude beside subtle scars and the aura in her walk.

On the surface... Fierce and outspoken, Rena "Rampage" Rampart is a daring, hot-tempered free spirit. It can be difficult to win over her favor, but those who do are rewarded with a powerful ally. In her stance and body language, there is an unmistakable air of belligerence that she is largely unaware of. Although it is often mistaken for general hostility, this is simply a developed result of growing up in the fighting pits as a small female miqo'te. When focused on a job, or in large social settings, she is commonly reserved and terse with her words, preferring to ignore the small talk while keeping an ear out for important tid-bits for which to give her opinion on. Despite this apparent introversion, Rena is never shy about injecting her sharp comments to the discussion, be they insightful or snide. She is very direct, and quick to speak her mind in a given situation, even when this means delivering lashing insults aimed at people whom she cares little for. Being accustomed to working alone in the majority of her endeavors, Rena can sometimes have difficulty following leadership from others. Perhaps her most glaring trait is her defiance when challenged or doubted. She will get quite venomous when told she can't do something, and will turn devoted, reckless even, to prove them wrong.

But a little deeper... Although often misunderstood as antagonistic, Rena's personality is the result of an unstable adolescence as a vagabond prizefighter. After spending a number of years in the Wolves' Den and later the Coliseum, Rena easily matured into the occupation of a bounty hunter. This career path routinely partnered her with characters of the unsavory kind, and as such, her disposition suffered for it. Often balancing on the verge of paranoia, Rena considers every new acquaintance as a potential liability who she may have to eventually 'handle' at the end lest she would suffer a knife in the back. Too often has she made the mistake of getting close to someone, only to have it burn her in the end. This makes her very untrusting, and apathetic towards new faces. Even as she grew above the dirty depths of being a sword for hire, and tried to apply her expertise to more noble endeavours, despair and hardship seemed to follow at every turn. Time and time again, Rena would let down her walls and let someone into her heart only for them to be violently ripped away from her. These days despite any amount of acquaintance, it is difficult to get close to Rena on a personal level as she takes great care in preventing herself from becoming attached to people. Despite this, she suffers an internal struggle as she tries to suppress her softer emotions she considers as weakness.

Common Appearance: Rena wields a peculiar weapon from Ul'dahn history known as patas, a strange pair of sword gauntlets that have largely been abandoned due to their difficulty in use. Growing up a young female miqo'te in the fighting pits surrounded by hulking roegadyn and highlanders, Rena couldn't rely on brute strength to win fights. She needed to be agile, and able to slip shots into pinholes in her opponents defense. Swords were unwieldy in her youthful hands and daggers did not offer her the reach she needed to deal blows against large opponents. And thus she began the difficult mastery of the curious patas. They compliment Rena's fighting style well as theu extend the fulcrum of her swings back to her elbows, increasing the speed and power of her attacks. Through her nearly fifteen years of training with them, Rena can not only use them offensively with devastating effect but also deflect, block, and counter incoming strikes with ease.

She can typically be found wearing light or leather armor, feeling too restricted by heavy armor to fight efficiently. In the seclusion of the Sagolii desert where she spends much of her time, however, she may sometimes be found wearing lighter cloth garments to beat the Thanalan heat.

Scars & Markings: She has no markings and, thanks to her over-protective father, has no scars either.

Voice: She has a Doman accent, a softer voice, and tends to speak a bit more properly than Eorzeans. She uses few contractions, and when she does it's usually around someone she is familiar and comfortable with. Though soft, her voice is warm and welcoming.

Clothing: She typically wears white, black/gray, some earthy tones, and sometimes pastel colors. She would never be caught in bright colors or anything that might draw attention to herself. That being said, she is comfortable in her skin and isn't too shy about wearing clothes that show some, but it is in no way to get attention. For the most part, she prefer to wear light clothes that she can breathe in and not feel restricted such as long skirts, cropped blouses, and certain dresses. This is her go-to, but she isn't opposed to wearing leggings and more battle ready gear when necessary.

As a magic user and primarily a healer, Sierra does not have much physical strength at all. Her small frame and lack of physical attack knowledge also leave her pretty defenseless and vulnerable to anything that's not a magic attack.

While she has decent magic defense, all magic other than healing are things she is striving to strengthen. A few potent magic attacks from a strong caster will have no problem crushing what few defenses she has.

While still not highly skilled in it, Sierra is best at defensive magic outside of healing. She won't be able to inflict much damage with what few offensive spells she does know, but she will be able to protect herself for a little bit if she's attacked.

space Sierra was born to a quiet Raen couple who had settled into a valley somewhere in the Othard Mountains. Growing up, she may have had a bit more interaction with others than a typical Raen might. Though they were all Raen, the families that dotted the valley had formed a community - some would even go so far as to call it a tribe and compare them to Xaela. They did not see each other all that often, however. It was more of a silent trust and understanding that the families had. They helped each other when it was needed, and the favors were always returned. Sometimes the children played together from dawn until their mothers called them inside. In short, life in the valley was nothing to complain about.

space One morning, odd sounds and commotion woke a young Sierra from her sleep. She went to find the source of it, only to see her father sobbing in front of their cottage with several members from the other families surrounding him. She learned that her mother had vanished overnight without a trace. Many of her belongings were still there but some of her most favorite possessions, like her jeweled pouch and her favorite tunic, were missing. Sierra and her father mourned together after that, and he became incredibly protective over her.

space Other than not having a mother, she grew up normally after that. She took up conjury and, as soon as she was old enough and her father allowed her to, she began to heal those within the community of the valley, even the smallest scrapes and bruises children got while playing. Sometimes she'd have broken bones to mend or sprains to tend to, and eventually word got out that she always had a room in her cottage to take care of the injured or ill. Word spread even outside of the valley, and soon she was making house calls to those that were too sick or injured to travel to her. This was primarily how Sierra practiced healing and made a living for herself.

space When the Garleans invaded, Sierra swore to help her people fight back to reclaim their land. She told her father this, who denied her even being there unless she promised to work in a healers tent far back behind the frontlines, one that was guarded at all times. She fought with him over this, not understanding why he wouldn't allow her to be near the frontlines to keep soldiers from even needing to get that far. In the end, there was no changing his mind, so she did as much as she was allowed while her father fought where she couldn't. When things began to look grim for the Domans and they began leaving for Eorzea, word traveled back about how nice the lands to the west were and how safe they seemed to be. Of course, her father picked up on the 's' word and encouraged her to take the next boat to Eorzea. They debated on it for a bit, but she didn't put up much of a fight. Things weren't looking good for them in Doma, and she knew there was no changing her father's mind once it was made up.

space Once in Eorzea, Sierra found herself drawn to Gridania. She joined the conjurers' guild in order to learn more about healing and offensive elemental magic. She heals when she can, but does a fair bit of exploring and is trying to find a place to settle down to prepare for when her father and the rest of the Domans flee to Eorzea.
