■ CURRENT RESIDENCE: Ul'dah - (The Goblet) ■ OCCUPATION: Odd jobs & the like. Dreams of having her own mercenary group ■ RELATIVES: FATHER: Gavinus Drake. A wealthy merchant recently deceased. His wealth was seized by Ishgard Authorities and imposed both a fee and tax which Savona must pay in advance to acquiring her inherited wealth. MOTHER: Sybell Drake. Savona was taken away from her mother at the age of 3 and has never seen her since. She's recently recieved news the woman is alive and wellm yet she remains unable to locate teh woman despite her desperate tries.. SISTERS: Unknown. Savona had found an old journal entry of her fathers and it mentioned two other children. When asked about it, he scolded her for snooping and forbid her from speaking of it again. To curious, she rummaged though his various items and keepsakes and once more found clues to her sisters. One just a year younger then she and left with her mother, and yet another, older half sister from a biref flinge with a village shaman. And yet of another child, a fourth daughter who was pronounced stillborn. Savona seeks to find her family and bond with them if they will accept her back after the deeds of her father. COUSIN: Severina Stormhaven. It wasn't long ago that she stumbled back upon this woman in Ul'dah. They had had several, non-pleasant run-ins with each other in Ishgard and the two were seldom friendly with each other. However it was soon discovered through Severina's father, that not only was he and his wife Savona's aunt and uncle, but the woman she'd llather for so long was infact her cousin. Tensions were short lived after that, and th etwo girls have taken to each other as sisters and still regard themselves as such. ■ ALIGNMENT: Lawful Good, [1]. |

P E R S O N A L I T Y
Where once was a constant smile on her face, Savona was the essence of true happiness. A bubbly, happy personality followed her with warm smile as she sought to become friends with most everyone. UPDATE:Hardships had fallen upon her, and quickly she learned that not everyone can be trusted, and not all situations have a happy outcome. Life is full of fear and hardships.
She is extremely caring and compassionate and has a heart for helping people, especially those who lack the means to care for or help themselves. She will give a stranger a helping hand, the shirt off her back or her last piece of gil if they would have need of it She is patient and will explain things 10 times over if that's what it takes to help someone understand a problem or issue. UPDATE: Due to events in her life, she maintains the same level of passion as she's always shown, though now is much more guarded against those she may deem who is out to use her for whatever their purpose may be.
Where confidence in her own ability is high, when it comes to herself personally, she is very insecure. Often takes jokes personal, and is somewhat easily hurt but snarky or mean comments. She's also very insecure with her own appearance and tries to follow along with all the latest fashions if possible. Most of her insecurities are surface deep and she will often burst into a mess of tears if mistreated.
UPDATE: Always believing herself to be a capable fighter, her opinion of herself had slowly begun to change, starting when she discovered that even her combat trainer whom she thought of as a second father, had very little faith in her. Eager to prove herself, she had signed on with Maelstrom and learned that he was correct, and she needs vast improvement. Now unemployed and coinless again, cosmetics and the like have once more fallen by the wayside.
UPDATE: (April 14th, 2018) Times have once more slowly begun to change for our little highlander and she's grown into her place as a young woman. Now at 20yrs old she's seen enough combat and bloodshed to understand that, while necessary it is a costly trade-off of one's humanity. Her love for nature and wildlife is used as a means to right the balance that violence and bloodshed brings

A P P E A R A N C E
Born to a Highlander father and a Midlander Mother, her skin tone features resemble that of her father. Her shorter height, hair, and eye color she inherited from her mother, or so she's been told. Pale emerald eyes are set by natural brown skin and her blonde hair is tied back in a ponytail and though she does her best several strands always seem to fall down around her face.
She's usually seen in military grade equipment ranging from leather or chainmail to heavy plate armor. She always has one weapon on her at all times whether one is visible or not. Her body only exhibits a few signs of damage. A nasty bite mark on her left wrist. The wound has now grown old, but it still has left it marked forever upon her skin. To accompany the bite mark, a large, but lightly colored scar covers from her right armpit down to her right thigh, and a a dark brown bullet wound upon her back right shoulder..
A few years in the military has seen her turn from an average built woman to an athletic one. She can jog for miles on end with only the slightest of breaks, and is a complete yoga fanatic. As such she is toned and well fit. At 5'2" she is short for a Highlander and often the brunt of short jokes among them.
C O M B A T & W E A P O N R Y
Unlike every over child in Eorzea, (or so it would seem) Savona has lacked any form of weapons or combat training in her years up until she was 20yrs old. At that age, she enlisted with the Ishgard military and has received the most basic of military instruction and combat training of which involved Archery, Lance and Sword. However, given her brief time within it's training camps, she's not an overwhelming threat to a more seasoned fighter or perhaps to anyone with a knack for combat or fighting. Apart from what she may believe herself to be, she is your standard frontline combatant, who more often then not is purely expendable.
Her self defense is better and her agility and stamina can sometimes help to even the odds a bit more. Her wins in sparring usually involve tiring out her opponent before rushing in for a few quick hits herself and backing out again. She has had a bit of training in unarmed combat but barely passed her drills so she always prefers to carry a weapon around with her, whether it is concealed or not. UPDATE: Upon her duties with Maelstrom, Savona was introduced to the fast and lightweight rapier, and with this, she excels. As time has passed, her experiences with weapons have grown and now she finds herself capable with both sword and shield, rapier, and spear, and is now a capable hand to hand fighter with knowledge passed down to her from an old warrior monk who took her under his wing.
H I S T O R Y
CHILDHOOD Born on Ala Mhigan soil to a Highlander father and a Midlander mother, Savona's childhood started off rather uneventful. Her father was a local business man who made his living by overseeing the operation of several market stalls in the area. As business in Ul'dah blossomed, her father travelled with his family to Ul'dah and never returned to his homeland due to teh occupation settling in. Business as often does, soon started to interfere with their family life. Being a wealthy merchant, this granted you the ability to purchase anything your heart desired. Including companionship. When at 3 years old, fighting between her mother and father grew intense and infidelity was soon found out when her mother was with another's child. Her father quickly seized up young Savona and his wealth and instantly left for the lands surrounding Ishgard to run his businesses there, leaving behind both his younger daughter and his pregnant wife with her unborn child.
TEENAGE YEARS Not much changed over the years. As Savona grew older her memories of early childhood faded. And though her father loved and cared for her deeply always, he was a mystery to her. He never talked of her mother, or where they had came from and when asked would chide her and tell her to let the past be in the past. Once she stumbled on an unmarked book and quickly paged through it not realizing it was her father's private journal. Inside she saw mention of perhaps having a younger sister. When confronted about it he grew angry and struck her once before heading out for a night of heavy drinking and didn't return until late the following day.
PAST FEW YEARS Her father having passed away, and her inheritance unable to cover her father's accumulated debt, she was forced from her home in Ishgard and due to circumstances and deceit, found herself homeless in Ul'dah. Never one to give up, she pushed on and carved out a meager life for herself by taking on odd jobs to pay for her food, drink and lodging at the Quicksand. It was a decent enough living, though she raved adventure and excitement, and the chance to prove herself. That desire soon saw her enlisting on with Maelstrom on placed upon a merchant ship as guard, to later be transferred to a pirate hunting vessel as a deck hand and canoneer.
CURRENT It has been nearly a year since she's set sail, and only just now has her posting seen her returned upon a ship and given her discharge.
■ WHITTLING: As a child she would watch her father sit in his armchair puffing on his pipe and carving little wooden toys for her to play with. The hobby seems to have been passed down to her as she know has her own little collection of crafted wooden figures, mainly birds and other small animals. ■ Dancing: Since arriving in Ul'dah she's developed a love for Dancing. Though she is not very skilled, once the music starts she finds herself almost powerless not to swing along.

■ COOKING: A natural cook, she was always cooking up various cakes and pies that no doubt contributed to her fathers massive weight gain. A fan of extravagant dinners and parties himself, this was a talent her father took huge advantage of for parties to entertain his guests. ■ BIRD CALLS: As odd as it may seem, she has a knack for imitating the local winged wildlife that surround her. Pointless as talents go, this one serves no real purpose other then her own enjoyment. |
