History
Semyon Sergei was forced out on his own at a relatively young age, having been berated and abused for as long as he could remember. The occasion had found him far, far to the north where he had been abandoned to the bitter coldness of the Coerthas Central Highlands. Left in the middle of nowhere, he began to wander aimlessly in the snow and eventually he came to the base of what appeared to be a plateau jutting out northward into what seemed like an endless expanse of snow capped mountains down below.
Atop it stood a gargantuan monster the likes of which he had never seen before and for a moment he was paralyzed by fear. It was then that it let out a tremendous roar that he could feel on his supple frozen skin and he let out a piercing shriek like a banshee. The beast abruptly turned to face him growling maliciously and took a posture as if making ready to pursue him. Next thing he knew, he was running as fast as his little legs would carry him. Carry him eastward as if something, someone was calling to him.
He eventually came upon a gigantic bridge that appeared to cross an infinite chasm before him, and in the distance he could see a towering stone wall city rising high into the sky. The times found him in the post-war city of Ishgard. It was still undergoing reconstruction and was coming along nicely. He approached one of the many guards stationed about the city inquiring about shelter but the guard brushed him off and pointed him in the direction of the church. It was there that he begged profusely but to no avail. The priest he had found was blunt and to the point that there wasn't really anywhere they could house him and turned him away. He walked away on the verge of tears...
