While growing up, Uiara worked helping run errands for locals in the Bazaar and helping tend to the sick, wounded, and deceased at the Church of Saint Adama Landama. She learned how to make poultice and dress various types of wounds while working with the wounded at the Chuch. Shortly after Uiara turned fourteen, she picked up the axe with what little money she had managed to save up. She figured an axe was a big weapon, and bigger was better, and it'd be easy to maintain and replace parts as she needed. Another plus was that axes were good at rending armor - and that meant she could take down the Amalj'aa that tended to plague the places she called her home. After a year of doing menial quests in the local area, Uiara saved up enough money to travel to Ul'dah and register with the Adventurer's Guild. She began adventuring almost immediately and was convinced there was no challenge she couldn't overcome. If it weren't for her round, feminine face and hips, she could easily be mistaken for a young male miqo'te. She is lithe, as she wields an axe and thick reinforced leather armor in battle. Uiara's tail is wild and long, often dragging near the floor when she walks. She does occasionally tuck her tail into her pants/armor to keep it from knocking things over, or otherwise being an annoyance. Uiara is usually in Flame Soldier uniform. When off duty, she prefers men's clothing. Sticking to trousers and long sleeved shirts and vests. Occasionally Uiara will indulge her feminine side and wear dresses and skirts. Unruly, blunt and a bit of a bully, Uiara's primary prerogative when off duty is to have fun - usually at other people's expense. She never means any real harm. She enjoys teasing others.
