The idea for this about page came from the player Cedric, and he is still a pretty chill guy, so you should probably check him out at some point in time.
Some of the ideas for Trisselle's page actually were inspired by Aerius's so make sure you take a look at his stuff as well.

Just call me Eso, if you'd like, but I'll answer to Esoteric as well. I started playing FFXIV shortly after launch and originally started on Gilgamesh, but moved to the Balmung server for RP purposes. I stopped playing around May 2014 for a plethora of reasons, but came back mid-January 2015. I also play on the Ultros server, though I admittedly don't give that as much attention as it deserves.

Good things come to those who wait!

RP Notes

I am a fairly easy-going RPer and rather open-minded, so if we have something in common, we should get along famously.

  • I like walk-up RP and I'm fair game. If you catch me running around, feel free to stop me. The only time I'm probably not available is for instances- unless it's an in-character run.
  • I'm open to tells for questions or out of character communication, but in general unless there's a will and a way, I prefer not to interpret private messages as in character. (If the circumstance comes up where it's plausible, that's another story altogether—read: linkpearls.)
  • I try to be tolerant of lore-breaking, but I make no guarantees. Likewise, if I've got anything incorrect, please give me a heads up. For the sake of the game universe, I'll do my best to be as accurate as I can be.
  • I sure do love in-character letters—writing and receiving.
  • I like in-depth storylines, especially in terms of relationships formed between characters (and by this, I don't exclusively mean romantic inclination—familial, friendship, etc., etc.). Chances are if I'm involved, I want to be there for the long haul and I'm willing to put in the time and effort. When it comes to romantic relationships, it's something I want to work on and discuss. I like developing these sorts of things.
  • I love negative and positive character relationships. Whether our characters banter frequently or connect very well on a multitude of levels, chances are I'm loving every moment of it.
  • My characters are not a mouthpiece for my thoughts, so try to take things they say or do with a grain of salt. I like playing controversial characters with controversial ideals, so try not to interpret any character rudeness as mine. Some of my characters may occasionally be jerks, but I am not my character, and I most likely think you are wonderful.
  • Likewise, I'm really not 'down' with people who take in character things to an out of character and then stir nonsense up about it. If you have a problem with something that's happened, discuss it with me, or with whomever is involved. How does anyone know unless you say something? Don't just jump onto the boat of 'I'm going to try to ruin these peoples' lives because I didn't get the ending I wanted.' That's just not cool. And it's stressful. And this is a game. So you should probably try to not make it feel like IRL stress. Thanks.

End Note

Wait. What is this here for, I have no idea. ♥
