Rha'li Kalahast ( ♦ ) - Annoying Thrower of Small Objects |
---|
Sebbie views Rha'li with a mixture of annoyance and slight affection. Her first meeting with the Miqo'te male involved him throwing a small pebble at her, which Sebbie snatched out of the air and threw back at him, striking him in the nose. Since then, each encounter with him has been marked by Rha'li tossing a small object at her- sometimes a pebble, other times a Gil coin- in the hopes that he'll eventually actually hit her. This has yet to occur, however, and Rha'li, despite repeated failed attempts, continues to occasionally annoy Sebbie by throwing something at her. In the meantime, Sebbie takes it upon herself to stand guard when around the mischievous male, to prevent him from throwing anything at any other innocent bystanders.

K'yuina Marcy ( ♦ ) - Scandalous Kitten |
---|
Sebbie's first meeting with K'yuina was an...interesting one, to say the least. Having sparked a debate between a well-dressed Elezen Noble and a scantily-clad female, K'yuina and a couple other girls then approached the Elezen wearing naught but their smallclothes, delcaring their right to nudity wherever they saw fit. Sebbie, for some reason, found herself caught up in the moment and stripped down to naught but a bikini she usually reserves for wearing during relaxing breaks at Costa Del Sol. The scene eventually culminated with Sebbie turning around in full Dragoon gear and striking a male Monk who'd gotten a little too friendly with her. Since then, Sebbie hasn't seen much of Yuina, though she still views the fellow Miqo'te as a friendly- if a wee bit scandalous- acquaintance.

S'honji Hayakawa ( ♥ ) - Charming Outlaw and Thief |
---|
Under normal circumstances, Sebbie would steer clear of men of S'honji's ilk. He is cocky and heavily flirtatious...yet his infectious charm was enough to get past Sebbie's defenses, and thus he became the only male with whom Sebbie has had an intimate encounter thus far. Sebbie still has an interest in S'honji- an interest she would rather not have if she could help it. The man known as The White Thief is also notorious for his ladykilling ways; if it's female and attractive, the outlaw will make a move on it. This has led to Sebbie's opinion of him being soured...yet she still can't help herself when he comes prowling around her.

- ■ "Rumor Goes Here" Name Goes Here
Sebbie is a female Miqo'te, of the Keepers of the Moon subrace. She stands at five fulms and six ilms tall and weighs in at a slender eighty-seven ponze. Her hair is a deep shade of midnight blue, and her eyes a glimmering shade of green. She has a fair complexion- as would be expected of a Keeper such as herself.
As a young girl, Sebbie and her immediate family (parents, sister and brother) were forced to flee from their home in the Shroud and immigrated to Ala Mhigo, passing through Gyr Albania on their way through to the city. Frequent, violent attacks by Ixali tribes were the reason for their fleeing their home in the Shroud. After arriving in Ala Mhigo, Sebbie and her immediate family were joined a few months after by others of their clan- a few clan elders, and members of other families. It was during her time in Ala Mhigo that Sebbie picked up rudimentary combat training as a Monk, though this training only lasted, at best, for a year.
About a year or so after their arrival in Ala Mhigo, the city came under siege as the Mad King rose to power and began his reign of terror. Sometime after this, Ala Mhigo became the battleground of a civil war, as the citizens staged a revolt against the Mad King. However, this war left the city of Ala Mhigo in a weakened state, and soon thereafter, the armies of Garlemald staged an invasion, and Ala Mhigo fell before their might without much incident.
It was during this invasion that Sebbie's clan was decimated. Her parents were slain while putting up resistance against the Garlean invaders. Additionally, her sister was cut down in the crossfire between Garlean soldiers and a small pocket of resistance fighters. Other members of her clan, including clan elders, were lined up and slain by the Garleans in an attempt to dissuade further resistance. Left nearly alone and fearing for her life, Sebbie made the decision to flee from Ala Mhigo with her only surviving family member- her brother. The two made plans to flee the city together; however, in the process of escaping, they were discovered by a Garlean patrol and summarily captured. Sebbie's brother, fearing the worst for the both of them, created a diversion by going on the offensive against the patrol soldiers, creating an opportunity for Sebbie to once more make an attempt to escape. In this, she was successful, but unfortunately her brother was subdued by the soldiers and led away, leaving Sebbie alone and uncertain of her brother's fate.
She fled the city alone, evading further Garlean patrols until she was well outside of the city. From there, she decided to travel back through Gyr Albania and return to the Shroud, hoping to seek refuge there in her former homeland. However, upon her arrival, she was soon discovered by Wood Wailers, whose prejudices and xenophobia reigned supreme, and she was forced to flee once again amidst a hail of the Wailer's arrows. This left Sebbie set to wandering with no clear destination in mind. She could very well not return to Ala Mhigo, and access to her former home in the Shroud was likewise cut off from her. She wandered aimlessly from place to place for a time...until the day the sky fell, and Dalamud's descent brought with it destruction, death and despair. For some time after, Sebbie continued to wander, meeting here and there with bedraggled refugees fleeing their homes to parts unknown. It was by chance that Sebbie found herself in Thanalan, where she met up with a small group of refugees who planned on making for Ul'dah- the city's famed riches seeming to promise a welcome respite from their hardships. Sebbie fell in with these refugees, and together they trekked to the desert city.
However, upon arrival at Ul'dah, they soon came to discover that the promise of the fabled city was far from the reality. At first, Sebbie and her small group were not allowed to even enter the city- forced into camping outside the walls of Ul'dah in makeshift tents and shelters, Sebbie and the small group were subjected to prejudice, fear, paranoia, and disdain on a daily basis. At night, they were forced to defend what meager possessions they had from thieves and cutpurses. Finally, after some time, Sebbie and her group were among a small few who were at last granted access into Ul'dah. However, with only the clothes on her back, and nary a Gil to her name, Sebbie had no means of securing herself a place to eat, and no establishments seemed willing to give work to an orphaned refugee. Sebbie fell into despair in short order, and set up along with many others in the Pearl Lane, fashioning a small shelter from the elements out of bits of wood, crates, and discarded cloth.
And thus was Sebbie's life, for several years following Dalamud's fall. Until, one day, she happened to wander into the Quicksand. There, she met with Momodi, the tavern's proprietess. The kindly Lalafel took pity upon the sullen, silent young Miqo'te, and offered her a small job helping to keep the tavern clean and orderly...a task which Sebbie gladly accepted, though the pay was meager, at best. Sebbie performed her tasks without hesitation, and proved to be a dutiful and efficient worker. Thus, when the day came that Momodi opened her tavern to adventurers, Sebbie was at last offered a chance to do various other jobs for those seeking help through the Adventurer's Guild, while keeping her place working for Momodi at the Quicksand. What's more- this also led to Sebbie finally having the Gil to rent a room for herself, and at last the young Miqo'te, who had seen so much pain and hardship in her youth, began to see her fortunes change towards the better.
For one, being hired through the Adventurer's Guild gave Sebbie the opportunity to begin training once again in the combat arts. In particular, she ventured to Gridania and joined the Lancer's Guild. She showed a promise for exceptional ability early on in her training- a potential that was fostered by Ywain, head of the Lancer's Guild. Sebbie excelled at her training and rose quickly through the ranks, and her skill with the lance and spear was unquestionable. Some have said she is every bit as skilled as the Dragoons of Ishgard, even if she could never officially carry the title.
Furthermore, staying in Ul'dah at The Hourglass has put her in close proximity to the Pugilist's Guild, where she took it upon herself to continue, in some way, the early, fundamental Monk's training she had begun while in Ala Mhigo as a youth. She showed a marked ability for unarmed combat, her natural affinity for agility, flexibility and speed making her almost a shoe-in to become one of the Guild's top pupils. At present, rumors are that Sebbie has pursued a continuation of her Monk training as well, after seeking out surviving Ala Mhigans in Ul'dah and elsewhere in Thanalan (such as Little Ala Mhigo), looking for anyone who may have the knowledge to impart with her.
Accepting various jobs for the Adventurer's Guild eventually brought Sebbie back to the Shroud, after not having been there in several years. However, she was dismayed to find no trace of her clan's presence within the Shroud. The Keeper clans that still dwelled there were less than friendly towards her, viewing her as an outsider and an outcast who had no place setting foot within their forest. Others were slightly more sympathetic to her plight, and offered aid to Sebbie in the form of information. Inqueries about her clan led Sebbie to the terrible revelation that there were none within the Shroud of the Chalahko clan...which meant that they had all possibly met their end at the hands of the Garleans back in Ala Mhigo. To date, Sebbie has still yet to hear of any bearing her clan's name during her adventures and quests. This news has led her to believe that she is quite likely the last of her clan.
However, in recent days, Sebbie has gained new information regarding her long lost brother. A man she spoke to in the Quicksand made mention of seeing a young Miqo'te male in Garlean soldier uniform being chastised by what appeared to be a superior officer. However, the man was sketchy on the details- he couldn't quite remember the man's face, and did not hear the man's name being mentioned, or at the least did not hear it used. However, this information was at least enough to leave Sebbie with the hope that her brother still lives...and at current, she has been taking steps to try and locate any further information as to his possible whereabouts.
