History
Early Life
Silent was born in a small village outside Ala Mhigo, to a mother with no interest in raising her and a military man for a father. The civil war was in full swing by this point, and her mother felt the change coming before it did. While her partner was off defending the land, Silent's mother made off with everything she could, including the young child, using the money to fund a new career as a Mercenary for hire. She dumped Silent into a local orphanage, and began sending her daughter a pittance yearly to assuage her conscience.
Although the Roegadyn child avoided the annex of Ala Mhigo and the fighting that came before through her mother's action, being left alone in an unfamiliar city at the age of four left her with little connection to anything outside of the little corner of Ul'dah that she occupied. The orphanage itself could afford little in the way of food for the children, barely able to keep its doors open. As a result, many of the children there turned to petty crime to fill their bellies. They formed a small gang, one Silent eventually joined out of necessity.
Her heritage served her well in her years on the street, the small girl she was when she came to the orphanage built muscle easily as she grew. By the time she saw her fourteenth year she was able to throw around most merchants with ease. Although her body grew strong, the poor orphanage could do little to teach her any valuable skills, the Roegadyn neglecting to learn her letters or a tradeskill. Instead, she learned to fight.
