General

In the laws of the universe lies the balance of light and dark. The sun and the moon. The good and the bad. This law dictates the necessity for a fulcrum between two points, for if the balance is skewed, the circumstances are dire. The hero can be nothing without the criminal. The world would not prosper without the heat of the sun, or the gravity of the moon.

But who in the crowd will be the good and the bad? The light and the dark? The heat of the sun, and the shadows of the moon?

Appearance & Personality

V'ieh is an odd puzzle to figure out. With emotional complexities and weird social intricacies that offer little insight into her personal life. The tiny woman outwardly exudes anything but passiveness, and it's incredibly hard to take any sort of advantage of her. The way she holds herself mixed with her foul mouth often shows just how domineering she is, despite her small stature. She has no problem threatening, harassing or manipulating anyone who doesn't hold similar loyalties as she does. Though she has no real formal education, she was forced to learn how to read and write as her life continue. Almost all of her disciplines, besides combat, are self-taught, mostly anything in the arts or in literature. In a public setting, she can come off as outlandish, stand-offish, or aggressive and disagreeable. One-on-one, however, she offers a lot of unseen motherly instinct, kindness for her friends and loved ones, and unwavering loyalty.

V'ieh stands approximately four foot ten inches, with a curvy and muscular build, with her strongest and most noticeable feature being her unfathomably thick legs. She has tanned, clear skin, covered in freckles. Dark mahogany hair, which is usually freely resting along her back in a natural wave, sits at her mid-back. Her eyes are a muted amber, nothing out of the ordinary or stands out easily for her race and clan. Her lips are plump and nearly never dry, and are most often resting straight face, though among the right company, the corners of her mouth tend to poke upward. Her facial markings aren't extreme, but stripes rest on her cheeks and her forehead, a quiet colour matching to her tanned flesh.

Her ears are pointed and usually relaxed closer into her skull, and her tail is usually slack, letting gravity control it's resting, save for a few flicks every now and then in specific situations. Her nails are usually painted nicely with nail lacquer, dark colours typically in a traditional pointed, claw-like shape. Mostly she's found in her armor, typically working, but can be seen in a range of comfortable looking plain-clothes. But with the nature of her job, her face and body are almost always covered on the job, so it's still relatively safe for her to wander in plain-clothes in daylight for chores and errands, though it's not unnatural for people to be curious of the nature of her flesh, covered in a plethora of scars in a range of shapes and sizes.

N P C

V'alag Nuhn ( ) ( NPC ) - The Leader
The Nuhn of her clan. She is extremely fearful he will come back and put her in her place for disobeying through all of the childhood and adolescence of her life in the clan village. She is unaware he's deceased.
V'ellenha ( ) ( NPC ) - Mother
V'ieh has fond memories of her mother, though she always was apprehensive of V'ieh's denial to their patriarchal society. V'ieh is unaware of her mother's current status.
V'tehso Tia ( ) ( NPC ) - Father
The man who impregnated her mother. She has no fond memories of V'tehso, and remembers him as the Nuhn's self-centered political and ego-driven son, and nothing of a father. He was not present for a lot of her childhood.
Hiro Mazaki ( ) ( NPC ) - Mentor & Lover
Her first love and relationship, a Doman refugee who was a skilled Shinobi. He taught V'ieh everything he knew of Ninjutsu and tried to help quell the volatility of her flight or fight response. Hiro was the first person she was intimate with, and she was set to recite the 'Oath' to him. During a mercenary contract, they were blindsided from some of the remaining Tia's of her clan looking to seek revenge on V'ieh for a crime she didn't commit. In the fog of her heightened fight response, she cut down all of the Tia's, and unknowingly dealt a devastating blow to Hiro. She held him, caked in blood, and recited as many of the vows of the Oath to him as she could before he passed. Since then, V'ieh has inherited his soulstone of the Ninja, a soulstone that was not meant to end up in her hands.

P C

V'ashir Tia ( ) - Brother
V'ieh's only supposed living relative left. She can remember her mother being pregnant, but did not remember having another sibling. V'ashir was whisked away at birth, her father's only son, raised by him alone. V'ieh assumed the child was lost during birth, and didn't know any better at such a young age. V'ieh's encounters with V'ashir have been all but pleasant, especially learning of V'ashir's crime of committing mass arson on the entirety of her small clan, killing men, women and children without remorse, and then framing it on V'ieh after she had fled their clan, purely out of spite.
Ferathir Lauhafiere ( ) - The First Oathbrother
After finding her in the deserts of Thanalan, beaten and abused, Ferathir took V'ieh under his guidance and protection until she got on her feet. He set her up with some self defensive studies and pushed her onto her way to become peaceful, despite the anger she felt after being kidnapped and tortured for bruising her clan Nuhn's ego. Since then, the two have bonded and are sworn under The Oath that they would protect and help each other by all means necessary. Unfortunately, V'ieh had foregone the Oath out of personal necessity, and for the safety of Ferathir and others under the Oath. However, after regaining contact, they began anew once more. V'ieh and Ferathir are both currently as close as before, although V'ieh tends to get on Ferathir's nerves on a consistent basis, and vice versa. She continues to root for Ferathir and Minako's relationship. Ferathir has picked up a very keen insight on how V'ieh feels and is thinking in the moment, and the two can usually convey thoughts or commands to one another without sharing a word, and only a glance.
Kudros Crendraven ( ) - The One
A goliath Hyurian man that V'ieh harassed one day in the Quicksands quickly grew into an uncanny, peculiar friendship. Although her intentions were unclear, V'ieh coaxed him to her part of the Lavender Beds under the premise of sleeping with her but they quickly unloaded their arsenals on each other and mutually respected each other's payload and skills. Quickly V'ieh learned of her pregnancy with him, and soon they committed to one another under the serious circumstances. Despite the devastating loss of the pregnancy, Kudros and V'ieh have since become engaged to one another, and V'ieh has taken the role of Kudros' twin toddlers' mother.
Kerrath ( ) - The Stronk
V'ieh's wrasslin' partner. V'ieh admires his strength and the two have half undressed to show off their muscles to one another. She trusts Kerrath's judgement, and will align herself with his allies, if he deems them worthy. Kerrath insists that when they arm wrestled, that V'ieh soiled herself to try to beat him, but V'ieh claims it was a stalemate between the two of them and that there was no true winner. An admirable foe, but an even worthier compatriot.
Chip Wayman ( ) - The Hero
Initially set out to redirect Chip's attention from her former company, V'ieh soon learned that she knew Chip when they were both much younger, or at least, watched him get bullied in the streets of Ul'dah. Her desire to intervene when people pick on the young lad still persists to this day, and now views him like he's a part of her family, wanting to protect him. Though despite his insistence that she doesn't interfere, she instead trains him to try to be the best she knows he can be.
Minako Obinata ( ) - Oathsister
Her first Oathsister, and the third in the Oath, she isn't as close to Minako as she'd like to be, but already has sisterly feelings for her after realizing they perhaps have more in common than she thought, being both trained Ninjas. V'ieh is curious as to what she finds romantically in Ferathir, and is proud of Minako for tolerating someone who can be so stubborn. At present she's curious about Minako's background and where she's come from and why. V'ieh is rooting for her and Ferathir's relationship, and considers her to be the only true sister V'ieh has ever had in her life, although sometimes she tends to pick on Minako and her slow response time and lack of understanding of Eorzean culture.
Thata'wo Kaatapoh ( ? ) - The Stray Cat
Falsely accused of burning her village down, V'ieh picked up his bounty until finally pursuing him and realizing he was nothing but a gnat that was pinned as a decoy. Seeing his upbeat personality and scattered brain, this made her drop tracking the bounty and have it withdrawn under false accusation. She attempted to bring him under the Oath but he evaded in every chance. Eventually, she hired him in under as her apprentice, teaching him how to fight, hold his own, and undertake bounties. After a spar won by him, she views him in a new light and can see if he needed to, he could easily hold his own. Their relationship with one another is rocky and the two are constantly sparring, mad at each other, confiding in one another, or involved in uncomfortable sexual tension. Thata'wo disappeared for some time and his absence has fallen into a serious case of puppy-love for him. It's to be determined whether or not she's just lonely or actually does feel love for him.
Andre ( ) - The Shady
The mastermind behind Umbra, V'ieh first met him through Kudros before she knew of the company he ran, and they agreed to share linkpearls for extra business on the side of V's then-current occupation. After the new cycle, V'ieh met with Andre to become an employee of Umbra, but has since retired.
Byrn Wolfshowl ( ) - The Intelligent
The lead of the intelligence sect of Umbra, V'ieh met Byrn while meeting with Andre in Ul'dah for business. Since then they've been building a positive work relationship, despite not knowing too much about one another. V'ieh appreciates Byrn's attitude and disposition.

OOC Notes & Links

I will play mature content and themes (violence, sexuality, drug / alcohol use) as long as they're logical in a plot-driven encounter. Coarse and excessive language. Temporary injury and incapacitation. Temporary imprisonment. Most walk-up encounters.
Ask about long-term and/or permanent injury and disfigurement. Long-term captivity or imprisonment.
I won't play permanent character death or rape plots.
If an aspect of RP makes you uncomfortable in a scene we're playing, please send me a /tell, letting me know. Communication is very important, more important than potentially keeping immersion.
All roleplay is strictly confined to IC circumstances. The blending of IC and OOC is not something I'm comfortable with.
