Character
Backstory:
Ygritte doesn’t remember much of her childhood before Ul’dah, or even who named her. At a young age while thieving, she was arrested by the Brass Blades and forced to fight in the Bloodsands as sport. She expressed superior skill with a lance and was bailed out by a Lalafell named Cicidoa Sasadoa, a member of the Syndicate. Cici quickly noticed a heightened level of intuition within Ygritte and with his self-made fortune, decided to secretly train her amongst other Hyur and Lalafell children in the letters, history and alchemy of Eorzea. It wasn’t until Ygritte was employed with the Salthounds that she heard rumors of Cici’s secret advisor. The pirates refer to him as the Skaetgyfta, or "Shadow Broker." During her time with the Salthounds, she met a highlander named Masahiro Ironfist. Hiro would often challenge Lohengarde, as that is what the crewmen referred to her as, to a friendly duel; His great axe vs. her ‘stick.’ Ygritte was hired to work with the pirates to gain entrance into the Arcanist guild in Limsa Lominsa to further enhance her studies of magic.
Appearance:
Ygritte is short by Roegadyn standards with an athletic build. She has golden eyes, which often sparkle with a hint of mischief and teasing.
Behavior:
Ygritte can be initially quite hard to get close to. She is blunt to the point of rudeness, open with sexual suggestiveness and innuendos if she finds you to be attractive, and abrasive, even aggressive upon first meeting. She is very open though, very honest. She'll say what she thinks, whether she thinks of you in a nice way or not, and doesn't have a sense of common courtesy and politeness according to standard Eorzean culture. Even so, she is a good friend once she does like you, as she considers loyalty to be an important thing and won't stand for betrayal, no matter your reasons. If you break her trust, she'll break your neck- and she's quite happy to threaten as much, too.
She has a huge sense of wonder around new things, and will happily go back and forth for hours inquiring about the purpose of objects and of other's logic, until she's gained from you all of the 'why's and 'how's of the world around her. This knowledge is something that she'll then store away until she has use of it; and she never forgets anything.
She has a strong sense of fun, though she can often poke fun at others. She is quick to joke around and equally quick to break out into laughter. She'll banter back and forth and tease with others around her for hours at a time, and is extremely talkative and, once she gets to know someone, openly friendly, though in a sharp manner.
