Beliefs: Zali'ah's fascination with the written word began when she was very young and her father would read to her and her brothers. As she aged her interest was deepened by the leaflets, books, and later tomes, which her siblings 'liberated' from residents of the Black Shroud. Introduced to Gridanian society by her father, Zali'ah learned of the Twelve, and from her love of words and symbols chose Thaliak to be her guide.

Height: 4 fulms 11 ilms - Relatively short, even by female Miqo'te standards, Zali'ah's stature seems to amuse her when it is brought up in conversation.

Weight: 105 ponz - An average weight for one of her height and build.

Complexion: Zali'ah's dusky gray skin is prevalent in her mother's lineage, lending to the absurd rumour of potential Duskwight heritage in the far past. Like her violet hair, her skin stands out in Limsa Lominsa during daylight hours. Thanks to being a Keeper of the Moon, Zali'ah is often found out in the streets at night, but only by those with keen vision as she blends in quite well with the looming shadows cast by the city-state's towering structures.

Physique: Slim, lean and surprisingly curvy, Zali'ah puts very little interest into her body. According to many men, of every race, her relative lack of derriere is made up for handsomely by her rather large chest. (In spite of her nonchalance in regards to her physique, she has been overheard to have commented "liking her boobs.")

Hair: Thick, deep purple hair, formed into classic Miqo'te spikes, line Zali'ah's head. Sleek and shimmering, her hair often stands out in the bleached streets of Limsa Lominsa. Her long, fluffy tail, shares the same dark hue of her head.

Eye Color: A brilliant green, an oddly amusing combination of her mother and father's eye colours, Zali'ah's eyes were often charming charming the young Miqo'te males in the Shroud. Recently, her eye's have been the subject of many small flirtations directed at her by the young Hyur whom she has begun to spend considerable time with.

Mother - Zale Qin: A typical Keeper of the Moon female, Zale was in her early twenties when she conceived her first child. Nimble and a crack shot with a bow, her small family grouping was never want for food - or love for that matter. Brother - Zale'a 'Bors' Qin: The eldest son, 'A was born to Zale and her first mate, Fror'li. 'A was just shy of his fourth name day when his father was imprisoned by the Twin Serpents of Gridania for robbery and murder. It was not until his step father Stellan arrived in his life a year and a half later that he learned that it had been his mother who had witnessed his father's crimes and had turned him into the authorities. The anger at losing his parent to 'those outside' quickly turned to hatred of the man who had gone against all he had been taught, for it was against his family grouping's customs to kill for greed. Spending time with his Stellan, and the odd, yet calming persona of his younger brother 'To, 'A was able to focus his emotions into physical strength which he used under the tutelage of the few other males in the family grouping. His blood-red hair and piercing white eyes gave 'A a frightening countenance which he used to protect his siblings from outsiders. His cold countenance, which was interspersed with a surprisingly warm laugh, earned him the name Bors from his step father. A mixed breed Highlander and Seeker of the Sun, Bors had, according to legend, had a similar temperament to 'A and had been a great warrior and leader of men in Southern Thanalan in the 5th Astral Era.

His ability to swing an axe like it was nothing, coupled with his ferocious appearance and fine tracking ability made 'A an excellent choice for the Yellow Jackets of Limsa Lominsa. Establishing himself quickly as a force to be reckoned with amongst the local pirates, beast tribes, and his own employers, 'A was given a small detachment of men to command and a route in Upper La Noscea to patrol. Fighting kobolds and interacting with the Maelstrom-aligned pirates there gave 'A a task to be proud of.

Brother - Zale'to 'Dagonet' Qin: The quiet and humble middle child of Zale Qin, 'To was three when his mother became involved with Stellan. Given the nickname Dagonet, or Dag for short, by his adoptive father, 'To quickly grew akin to the new man in his life. Dagonet, so Stellan had recounted, had been a shrewd Elezen tactician from the snowy regions of Coerthas, centuries before the rise of Ishgard. It had been believed that he had been so persuasive that he had trained some of the local dragons to fight for him against early invaders. Affectionate and understanding towards his half-siblings, 'To was usually the one to whom the twins would turn to when their parents weren't around, or if they didn't want to fall under their mother's piercing gaze. Tall, especially by Miqo'te standards, 'To easily dwarfs his family and those in his family grouping by standing at roughly the height of a Midlander male. Shaggy green hair, matching his mother's, sits atop his head, while his surprisingly short tail (in comparison to his siblings and height) is often found standing up, close to his back. His coal-coloured eyes often seem to be shut, making him look as if he is contemplating something very seriously.

Eerily calm and quiet, 'To has shown himself to be quite the trade and businessman when the mood and wares strike him. Though Keepers are very rare in Limsa, let alone in positions of power, 'To nonetheless became a customs agent within several weeks of arriving in the city-state. He now works alongside members of the Arcanist's Guild to monitor incoming and outgoing shipments and cargo. Oft times he can be found wandering Hawker's Alley in search of sales, special items and on occasion black market dealings.

Brother - Zale'li 'Tristan' Qin: The youngest of Zali'ah's siblings, and her twin, 'Li is very much the 'little brother' archetype. Extremely loyal to his sister and always looking up to her, even though there are only 11 minutes of age difference between them, 'Li has been at Zali'ah's side since they could walk. Having the same dark purple hair as his sister, the same dusky skin tone, and the same height, the only thing the twins don't share (besides gender) are their eyes. While Zali'ah's are a bright green, 'Li's are a deep turquoise. The son of Stellan, 'Li was given the moniker of Tristan, a Hyur Midlander hero from bygone days who had been a master archer as well as a trainer of avians. 'Li eagerly tutored under his mother to become a ranger just as his namesake was.

When his sister and brothers decided to leave the Shroud to explore the world 'Li did not think twice about accompanying them. Though small, wiry and unsuited for the rigors of manual labour, 'Li's intellect has always been just below Zali'ah's and the twins were easily able to find a place for themselves in the port city-state. While Zali'ah turned to the Arcanist's Guild, 'Li made his way to the Maelstrom. His skill with the bow and his quick-wit made him an easy choice for the young commander of the Maelstrom's <Dracon, Captain Natalan Trange. It was through 'Li's employment under 'Dead-Eye' Trange that Zali'ah met the captain's older brother Lizzo.
