History
Early years/Childhood
Zhen was born into the highly regarded Malraj clan of Keepers, and is second in line to the title of Matriarch behind her sister, Zhae. She lived quietly among the clan, opting to take on more domestic duties such as housework and gardening, due to the fact that her physical prowess was insufficient for hunting duties. She would often study magic on her own, shut away from the other children of the clan. In fact, she rarely spoke to anyone, save for her parents and sister.
Post Calamity
The Malraj clan was left scattered after the Calamity. It is unknown how many members had survived the ordeal, and as such, Zhen sees herself as the last remaining Malraj.
Zhen sought refuge in Limsa Lominsa, where she was readily taken in by the remnants of the Arcanists' Guild. The next seven years were spent in their care, studying the many texts and techniques available to her. She would then branch out to the other disciplines of magic, leaving the guild to travel the land and refine her skills. She also developed an interest in researching the ancient civilizations of Eorzea, most notably the Allagan Empire.
Order of the Sifir
Zhen would eventually settle herself down in Ul'dah. It was here that she was approached for potential admittance into the Order of the Sifir, a cult following the teachings of an ancient text known as the Sifir. Zhen became an avid follower of the text's teachings, and sought to move up in rank and status within the Order. She reached the title of Magus, before the Order was usurped by L'vi Lyrre, prompting the disbanding of the Order. Zhen became disillusioned toward the Sifir's teachings afterward, believing herself foolish for getting involved in hindsight.
Present Day
Zhen has since opened a successful goldsmithing business, operated through her chambers at the Coral Sea's free company house.
She is currently traveling Eorzea, working to improve her magical prowess even further.
Personality
Shy and reserved, Zhen is typically found indoors, hidden off in her room most likely. When approached, her initial attitude is cold, her demeanor flat and emotionless. She distances her feelings from most, typically leaving the impression that she is annoyed by others' company. Her flat nature serves as a defense mechanism to hide her emotional vulnerabilities.
Zhen is easily discouraged, and becomes depressed quite easily. She often will work for days on end without any food, usually having to be forced to or reminded by friends to eat.

- Memeli Meli - Zhen met this energetic Lalafell through her time within the Order of the Sifir. They have since been reunited due to Zhen's admittance to the Coral Sea, and have become good friends.
- Endemerrin Rosethorne - The leader of the Blue Skies Adventuring Company. Zhen met the man at the Quicksand, and was quickly drawn to his personality and mannerisms. She shares his fascination for the Allagan Empire, although is quite irritated when she sees the man walking around in priceless Allagan armor.
- L'vi Lyrre - Formerly the Prophet of the Sifir, Zhen has been intimidated by the sudden reappearance of the woman. Though the woman seems to have left that past behind her, Zhen is still wary of her presence.
- N'ureai Umaha - Zhen's current mate. She met the woman while in Ul'dah, offering chocolate and the chance to learn how to read. They have since been living together.
