From a young age, Zi'aire was trained in lancing by his father to one day take his place among the Dragoons of Ishgard Although his mother was seemingly against it. The young Elezen took heavy pride in wielding with the same bravery that his father holds. He is skilled in ways of the lance and has taken a small interest in magic to hone stronger skills once becoming a Dragoon.

Appearance & Personality
Zi'aire tends to tower fairly over those who aren't Elezens. His hair is a blazing red that is usually short and spiked up, but given time unattended it grows resulting it being tied in a bun. Zi'aire has piercing amber eyes which along with the scar across his face are the most distinctive features of his.
He is a slender and toned male. He is always training to keep to his top peak form, believing that one moment of slacking would completely alter his performance and skills in battle. He has no body scars and a huge tribal tattoo on his back.
As a Dragoon, he is mostly seen wearing his Dragoon armor and only on occasion will he step out and wear normal clothing. Even then, he will wear casual clothing of Ishgard. He has two piercings in each of his ears but other than that, Zi'aire isn't too fond of jewelry. When he is not in his armor, his is mostly wearing toned down and less flashy clothing. Feeling more at ease when he goes out.
Zi'aire is mostly a passive person feeling the need to never stick his nose in business that doesn't effect him or benefit him personally. He is rather known to not speak unless there was something said bad about Dragoons or his family oraddressed personally. His sharp tongue and tasteless jokes are something that usually gets him more enemies than friends. He doesn't bold well around people who doesn't use common sense mainly because the one thing he despises other than Dragons are people who wastes his time. His arrogance lies in his skills in both fighting and the jobs he's accomplished alone.
He does take interests in learning new things, having not been outside of Ishgard and generally takes the time to learn what he can from books alone.
In romance, he's never looking. That doesn't mean he isn't interested. He is graced with good looks which easily gets the attention of women, nothing has ever became serious with him.
History/Timeline
Born to Zevoix Eiliox, A well known Dragoon as well as the head of the Eiliox household founding underneath House Haillenarte and a common female Elezen, Elvanne Eiliox, Zi'aire is the couple's only child. Zeviox was told that he couldn't not provide children, which hindered his hesitant when it came to involving a relationship. Elvanne, who had been a childhood friend did not care, she loved him for his strength the fact he followed Halone the fury without hesitation, he fought Dragons with the intent to see Ishgard live for another day. The couple married and what Elvanne calls a miracle, she found herself pregnant unfortunately she had given birth while Zeviox had been away, she herself named their son, Zi'aire. Upon returning home, Zeviox was vowed to protect his new family and to train his son in the ways of the Dragoon so he too can grow up and protect the people of Ishgard. He'd be their miracle.
At a young age, Zi'aire took a liking to reading. Wanting to know the world beyond the world of Ishgard. In school, he learned of the Holy See and their worship to Halone the Fury. It was then he started asking his father about Dragons and Ishgard, learning that he aspired to be like his father who took so much pride in being a Dragoon. From then, he'd listen to stories and ask questions. It was then the vengeful Nidhogg sought revenge on the Ishgardians in that time, Zi'aire who had been from home came back to find out his father had 'shamelessly' died in battle and his mother had been killed during the attack. Now orphaned and without anyone to help, he sought shelter on the streets, though having a hard time there was a group he found himself in and there he resumed his private training once more taking a lance in hand and trained day and night until his late teens.
When the Calamity struck and Ishgard fell into a forever winter Zi'aire began to take on jobs to live. Killing wild beasts for a small price for food and for hide. Eventually he began taking rather difficult jobs and jobs that soon got his name around. Upon hearing of his strength, he was approached by Ser Alberic and once more he was reminded of his desire to be on the front lines serving as a Dragoon, just as his father did. Taking the offer, Zi'aire began a more rigorous training, rising through the ranks with an almost unbelievably swiftness he had gained enemies. Over hearing rumors that his father served under a house of traitors and that his death wasn't as heroic as it was made to be. Leaving Zi with tons of questions and tons of doubts.
Though he does stand on the front lines, he still takes his side job seriously, often collecting jobs or killing beasts for gil to hep those in the slums who can't fight the harsh winter or defend themselves. Zi had one person whom he called a friend, Kuphault Fobigault, a local merchant who provided Zi with his favorite Bourbon as well as pay Zi'aire for the animal hides he returns. The two were close due to the tragic of losing their parents during the war, Kuphault was the only one who could take on Zi'aire's smart comments or bad attitude with his own. Once day as Zi'aire walks towards the shop, a man runs out. In hand, a knife. The two make quick eye contact and picking up on the bad sign, Zi'aire rushes inside to find his only friend face down in a pool of his own blood. His throat had been slit and there was nothing Zi'aire could do, his only friend was gone and he harsh reality of it all, this all happens in the place he's ready to garud with his life. It was a month later where the new rumor that Kuphault was murdered due to his connection to Zi'aire who had been the son of a man who served a house of traitors, House Haillenarte.
He then realized that he now had to live his life with one eye open while serving in the name of the Holy See. Even around his fellow Dragoon, he keeps his guard up. Now piecing things together, Zi'aire realized that his family's death and the death of his friend might be nothing more than a cover up and that the life he's been living up until now was nothing more than a dream, created by a child that wanted nothing more than to make his father proud by following in his footsteps.
