Basic Info

Piers Hayward is a young man from the Twelveswood who's primary concern is earning gil to send back home to his family. Having set his sights on Ul'dah, Piers hadn't even been in Thanalan for more than a day before he found himself broken and battered in an unfortunate encounter with an Amalj'aa.
Thanks to a small amount of tutelage and a large amount of danger, Piers has since grown to be competent enough in a fight, though he still has a long ways to go. Piers works in an adventuring partnership with his best friend, a certain red haired Miqo'te. Together the two of them tackle odd jobs, bounties, and utterly fail at keeping each other out of trouble.

Appearance & Personality

With a strong back and broad shoulders, it's no surprise that Piers grew up on farm. When not clinking around in chain mail, he's often wearing something that works equally well for relaxation or manual labor. Piers carries himself confidently, but a near constant look of curiosity and wonder betrays him. The same can be said about his personality: as no-nonsense as he likes to be presented, Piers can't help himself when it comes to joking around. He can be aggravatingly stubborn at times, but knows enough to admit when he's wrong.

In the years leading up to the loss of the farm she worked alongside her brother, looking after livestock and helping with the harvest. After moving their parents into the city proper, she started working at a nearby tavern to help pay living expenses. Cailleagh has only recently begun speaking to her brother again. ♥ J'lyneth Khal : Being both Piers' best friend and the other half of what's arguably the worst adventuring duo that Eorzea's ever seen, J'lyneth Khal holds more of Piers' trust and affection than anyone else in the world. A mixture of time and current events has cooled the romantic facet of their relationship, but Piers has more than half a million other ways to love her besides. ● The Sledge : A Coliseum contender that goes by the name "The Sledge". During his first visit to Ul'dah, Piers had an unfortunate run in with this physically imposing Highlander. Being pestered by some kid was the last thing The Sledge wanted to deal with after yet another harrowing bout in the Coliseum, and brushed him aside with an offhand comment. Naively believing that being told to "go pick a fight with an Amalj'aa" was actual advice for quick recognition from the gladiator's guild, the events that put Piers where he is today were set in motion.
