Bhaldgeim Hyrthimalwyn, better known by others as Dex Cogstride is a determined lady who enjoys life in the clouds. The once sea-loving Roegadyn turned experienced Sky Pirate works in solitude, counting on herself to complete what she sets herself every day; to take from the rich and give to herself in the name of science. Dex is nicknamed the Legless Sparrow and at least a dozen tales are told of how the Roegadyn came to lose her legs, all of which are unproven to be true.

Delkhii is (WIP)

Personality

Delkhii is generally an honest individual, opting to go for morally correct choices rather than bad onces. However, Delkhii isn't opposed to making the few questionable decisions in exchange for earning a few coin. Her language barrier often makes her come across awkward or monotone in conversation, borderline boring at times. Her body language doesn't give much away about how she feels in public spaces, unless in dire situations involving her safety, she will act far more neuotically than normal, and in extreme cases she'll cast away consideration for other's safety to secure her own. Regarding people attempting to make friends with Delkhii, she will be cynical about their true intentions and often find ways to close any potential leads onto establishing a friendship. // Delkhii's native tongue is Xaelic (usually spoken with "<>" in RP to demonstrate this) and she knows a handful of words that can make a cohesive conversation with Eorzeans, mainly for trade.

  3. Delkhii refers to leaders of a tribe or company as Leader followed by their first name. For members of royalty she refers to them as follows:

Combat

Delkhii's preferred weapon of choice, should she choose to fight, is her fists. Due to her natural Xaela strength, she is able to land hefty punches onto any opponent. ((WIP))

Biography

((WIP))

Delkhii was ready to embark on the task set by her tribe leader; she was entrusted to find the rare ores of the foreign lands and bring them back to her homeland for reasearch and prosperity. She was granted access to a junk ship for her voyage and was also given basic mining tools, bags and old maps of Eorzea to begin her task. She set sail, but moons after her departure, the Garlean Empire breached Orthard and destoryed the land in their wake, taking away her family, friends and village residents.
Journeying to La Noscea alone, Delkhii found herself at the beach of Costa Del Sol with a pickaxe and hammer, ready to hack upon Eorzea's rock for minerals to sell. Her mindset was focussed and determined, ignorant of the events that occurred at Steppes. She was mining away at any minerals she could get her hands on and eventually, she managed to sustain a life from selling her findings to local merchants and traders and settling into an inn each night. The Xaela had lived this life for a year before she was taken into the Wandering Bloom by Marina.
At that point, Marina established herself as Delkhii's most reliable source of income.


  • Losing her eye
Spoiler notice: The following contains spoiler information. Proceed at your own risk.
Delkhii encountered a Dotharl Xaela at the Quicksand one day, who teased her over her tribal status. Delkhii resisted her tempts to rile her, up until the moment where death of her tribesmen and women shook her facade. The Dotharl attempted to reconile with Delkhii after her teasing behaviour, saying that she was still learning how Eorzean customs worked and offered to go on a stroll with Delkhii, much to the other's dismay. Regardless, the two set off in hopes to establish a friendship, only for Delkhii to be perfectly lured into a trap. The Dotharl attempted to murder Delkhii for bloodlust, however she retaliated and fought against the Xaela. Delkhii was not without wounds that caused her to black out, suffering a pierced belly and back, and losing her right eye.
The Dotharl was distracted by the sounds of nature before she was able to kill Delkhii and she threatened that she would take her life if Delkhii had mentioned any part of the fight to anyone. In exchange of this promise, the Dotharl carried the wounded and dying Au ra to the Minery in Central Thanalan to give her basic aid.
One sun after, Delkhii was partially healed and wandered on foot to the Lavender Beds, seeking Omani for her comfort. She arrived and became gravely ill due to poor treatment at the Minery. She was eventually fully healed by Omani's friend whom happened to be a healer. Depsite their best efforts, Delkhii's eye remained lost. Delkhii was confronted by Omani for the reason behind her sudden injured state and Delkhii rehersed the story told to her by the Dotharl. Her close friend was unconvinced, but the Au Ra assured this was the case.
A few weeks pass and Delkhii arrived in Ul'dah to find her attacker, remembering to meet her after recuperating. Eventually, she did come across her, and Delkhii defensively became cold-hearted towards the Au Ra. To her surprise, the Dotharl was apologetic over her attempt to take Delkhii's life, though the Ura was very skeptical about this. They both agreed to keep in contect, much to Delkhii's dismay for the sake of keeping up their false story, which eventually became suspect to a lot of people's concern over Delkhii's eye.
The next time Delkhii approached the Quicksand, she was more determined to tell the truth now that her anger grew from her initial timidness. She informed Rainer first about the ordeal that really took place at Central Thanalan, causing Rainder to loathe the Dotharl in question. He makes a promie to Delkhii to protect her from the Au Ra, no matter what, which brought relief to her. After their heartfelt talk, Delkhii opted to hiding her appearance in and around the area of Ul'dah to avoid the Dotharl whenever she could, now that she had admitted the truth. One confrontation between her and the Dotharl happened, however Delkhii was accompanied by her company mates at the time for extra protection.
Delkhii once again entered the Quicksand, mask donned over her face. However, she was caught by the attacker and peacefully asked to talk with her.Reluctantly, Delkhii agreed to the talk, and discovered the Xaela was more affected by Delkhii's revenge than she initially understood; she had lost all of her friends and even almost lost her life to a man by the name of Rainer. Delkhii, sorrowed by this news, felt that her revenge went too far and offered forgiveness to the Dorthal now that her goal was met.

Hey there :D thanks for reading through the wiki about my charcter! The information about my character will change often so please note that there may be more/less or altered information the next time you read through this page again. I'll tell you a little bit about myself IRL. I normally go by the online alias of Dark or Dex (With Dark being my name for many online things and Dex being my FFXIV name among friends, though I'll be more known by the latter.). I'm said to be friendly, kind and fun and I love making new friends and playing FFXIV for both roleplay and in-game content. My schedule is slightly weird, due to the fact I'm from the EU and Balmung hosts more NA players, so I may not be available on peak times as it would be when I normally sleep. However I do tend to stay up late to play the game on days that I do not have university. That being said, I always try to make time for RP and I do admittedly have a hard time with doing walkups, so if you ever see my character and fancy RPing, please don't be shy and send me a tell or walk up on me.


How I RP

There is a couple of pointers that I would like to mention from an OOC point of view in regards to how I RP and what you can expect of me.
First of all, I am someone who likes to keep RP and OOC circumstances seperate. This means that whatever happens in an RP stays in RP and anything that is OOC is an entirely different matter. If my character has a problem with your character, it doesn't mean I have a problem with you IRL. This is also the same for my character liking yours, it may not mean I also like you (though 97% of the time it turns out I do like you :) ). However, if my character displays any romantic feelings for your character, this certainly does not mean that I do too. As I have mentioned before, what happens in RP stays in RP. Further information on this topic will be on the RP Limits section.

Secondly, if you are not happy with any aspect of our RP, please don't be afraid to send me a tell and I will try to make the RP more comfortable for you as mucha as I can without shifting the plot so much that it's either one sided (if it is situational RP) or the plot doesn't make sense anymore. Saying this however, this doesn't give you the opportunity to godmod/meta plots into your character's favour. If you do that, then there will be a good chance that I will not RP with you in future.
