Ember "You're already dead..." About
Apparent age: Mid-20s. Hair: Blonde with dark pinkish-red strands, lately worn long and free, though sometimes tied up into some sort of tail; currently it's down to the middle of her back. Skin: Lightly tanned. Ember is above average height for a Midlander female, measuring at 5 fulms and 7 ilms; if it were not for her lean and wiry stature, she may well be mistaken for a smaller Highlander. While she clearly has muscle definition, her muscle architecture is lean and wiry instead of large and bulky, like most Midlanders - though she is a bit lithe. Ember dresses for utility; she fores the protection that plate and chain armours have to offer for the mobility of leather when dealing with martial combat practices or her gunnery, and otherwise eschewing the ornate and often impractical styles that many cloth based items offer the rest of the time. The majority of her clothing is form fitting yet flexible, with very few pieces of excess fabric that isn't bound back in some fashion; this makes it difficult for anyone to use such excess as a way to grapple her during combat. She wears her hair in a variety of ways, either unbound so that it falls down her back to nearly her waist; bound in a tail at the nape of her neck; plaited fully, but rather haphazardly; or bound up into a tail at the crown of her head. Ember has bangs that brush over her forehead, and shorter strands of hair that frame her face, that almost seem more like an afterthought than anything she plans on. Her eyes are an icy blue, though they tend to darken or lighten just a bit with emotion; previously, this was the only indication someone might have that Ember's feeling any sort of emotion at all, as she tended to be closely guarded, however more recently she has been experiencing some sort of aetheric malfunction in which these guarded emotions will trigger a tangible elemental based aetheric response, that also heightens the emotional reactions to her situations. Scars & Markings: Ember has a rather faded, decent laceration scar that begins at the bottome of her left temple that clipped through her outer eyebrow; she admits that even with the immediate application of healing magics, a scar formed...much to the distress of her personal physcian. There seem to be some sort of faint sigils on both of Ember's cheeks, starting just to the sides of each of her eyes and trailing down over the crest of her cheekbones; their design very tribal yet simple. There are similar sigils on the few things that reach Eorzea from the Sharlayan homelands or from the once-forgotten city-state, but it seems perhaps none are exactly like the ones Ember bears. Voice: --- Clothing: Ember dresses for utility; she fores the protection that plate and chain armours have to offer for the mobility of leather when dealing with martial combat practices or her gunnery, and otherwise eschewing the ornate and often impractical styles that many cloth based items offer the rest of the time. The majority of her clothing is form fitting yet flexible, with very few pieces of excess fabric that isn't bound back in some fashion; this makes it difficult for anyone to use such excess as a way to grapple her during combat. She carries an antique gold sabre with crimson accents, clearly hand-crafted to fit her particular physioaetheric profile; its detailed engravings suggest it may be some sort of heirloom as well. She also has a musketeer-type pistol she rarely uses, a gift from a friend who was part of the Knights of the Barracuda; she also has a heavily modified Pre-Imperial Garlean Pistol, the framework having been altered with what appears to be Allagan technology and some other sort of aether-based technology. Ember also always carries a small hunting dagger that is tucked away in her boot or whatever sort of satchel she's using, typically using it as a utility knife, though she can use it as a weapon if desperate enough. It also seems she has some sort of star globe that dismantles and reassembles itself through some sort of magical spell. Almost all of these weapons have spells that keep them unseen until Ember draws them, aside from the hunting dagger and the guns. She doesn't necessarily carry all of these weapons at the same time, however she typically has two or three of them together. The star globe's card sheath, for example, has been modified to also be a sheath for the sabre, making it something of a dualistic device as far as carrying goes.
