General Information

Some Eorzeans, when wandering lost in the Black Shroud, spot, in the distance, a solitary Viera. Unnaturally white of skin, she drifts amongst the trees like a spirit. That is what they called her for years: a Spirit of the Shroud.

But now, Rirde has come to Gridania, in search of knowledge, magic, and people.

She wanders the paths, taking in everything with all her being. A metropolitan city Gridania is not, but after many years wandering the forest on her own, it is a massive flood of sensory input. Her tongue still clicks and clatters across unfamiliar Common words and phrases. Rirde gets stares. Her people are rare still, she knows this, but they seem especially put off by her.

Whatever their reactions, Rirde isn't leaving. Not before her purpose is finished.

Appearance

• Eyes: Light blue, to the point of appearing white
• Hair: Rirde keeps her straight white hair mostly tied back, though strands are always escaping
• Skin: Ghostly white, nearly unhealthy looking
• Build: Small and slim - Rirde is shorted than some Hyur men
• Voice: If Eorzea had a Southern drawl, that's Rirde's voice
• Markings/Tattoos: Two black tattoos, almost an arrow shape, under her eyes.
• Scars: Scrape scars are faint, but they're all over her body, including one on the back of her head

• Hygiene: Keeps as clean as possible, given her travelling
• Attire: Things made in Gridania just don't fit right for her. Rirde's robe sleeves are always too short and the bottom not long enough, so she always has gloves and pants to cover this fact. She goes barefoot both for her own comfort and for lack of fitting shoes. She'd wear less clothes, but she's noticed that people get uncomfortable around that.

Philosophy & Ideals

For Rirde, all of life is family. Family helps each other grow, flourish, and prosper. If someone in the family does wrong, they can be brought back to the light - she never gives up on someone, even if she desperately should. This drives her to learn the healing arts. To heal, for her, is a calling that has no equal. Not better or worse than any other calling, but nothing is like it.
