R’phael is a former Garlean soldier who purportedly defected shortly following the events at Carteneau. He now resides in Eorzea. While R’phael might consider himself a patriot, his allegiance, however, is not to the emperor. R’phael supports the people of Garlemald, and may be counted among the ranks of a rebel faction that is slowly rising within the Empire. Among certain Rogues with which R’phael associates, it is known that he was an Imperial spy. In some respects, R’phael is an idealist. He hopes for a day when there will be peace between Garlemald and its neighbors.
