Proud daughter of an aether researcher, the Lynx tribe of La Noscea was known to be hunters of knowledge rather than that of beasts. Being brought up to learn to read, she developed a knack for thaumatergy at a young age and begun her steps into becoming a powerful mage. What happened inside the tribe however was less of simple knowledge gathering, but rather a hunt and conquest for power by the Nuhn, Master X'Dhen and it was not fully known to the tribe at all until much later on. Knowledge gathering of the common magical arts gradually grew to deeper, more treacherous depths. The Void. After obtaining a book that gave convincing words of the forbidden knowledge of black magic and the methods to obtain such power, X'Dhen was fully driven to grasp everything the book offered. The tome however was nothing more than lies, the actual knowledge of black magic was vastly different to the one mentioned in the strange book yet despite the warnings of the tribe, X'Dhen took the words of the book seriously and followed every command.

Due to the voidsent being unable to enter the physical realm without a host, due to it's power being too great to push through the barrier that held to two realms apart, X'Dhen offered his own tribe in sacrifice and such a voidsent relished upon the vast amounts of aether. Both the creature and X'Dhen went on a murderous rampage, taking the lives of as many of the Lynx tribe as possible. Septhaja was almost taken herself had she not fended for her life purely out of instinct, the fear of her father's violent and psychologically distorted face caused her to cast fire upon her father... burning him alive. Running from the horror of what became of the whole tribe, she retreated to the shores and hide away until everything had died down.
  
Mezvyra proceeded to take the aether, the lives, of as many of the tribe members as possible. His aim of course was to take it all, then perhaps keep the promise of power later. X'Septha's family was slaughtered right before her eyes, either the bodies being tempered to serve or outright killed. A choice was made, either she wiped the source and banish the Voidkin to save the tribe or simply run. In an attempt to save the rest of the tribe she attacked her father, burning him alive. The deed wasn't finished however, as the voidkin was still at large and still attacking. Her only choice as a child, just barely at the age of 13, was to seal the voidkin using the same method that was used to summon. Using her father as the medium, she shoved the voidkin into the aetheryte that tied her tribe's village to the world and using herself as a passive tether. A threat. Should she die outside of age, so will the aetheryte and the voidkin as well. The voidkin Mezvyra may no longer be able to escape and destroy the village, but she was now practically tethered to the demon in mind. His voice continues to make mockery of her, causing her to develop a self-loathing attitude towards herself.

Not being able to be influenced by the Void other than it giving petty words X'Septha now travels and seeks to find a way to remove the tether itself, to destroy Mezvyra for good and to have her mind nice and quite again. In an attempt to avoid the worst case scenario, she chained herself aetherically to the world in case of dead, to allow herself a second chance at life using thaumaturgy.

Over the years X'Septha has worked as a mercenary and as a researcher, still fully devoted to the collection of knowledge as her tribe once did. In her travels she has come across many tomes and incredible amounts of information, some leading to a very dark path. Like father, like daughter, X'Septha also fell into the idea of obtaining vasts amounts of power but unlike her father she acquired the correct form. The knowledge of black magic and it's former devotees, the residents of Mhach. Such knowledge, as she sooner discovered, was something she was not to know and whilst even it's most basics have proven to be incredibly useful it also made her cocky. In her head was the ability to annihilate anything and anyone and she took that in stride during every job until it came to bite her back. During an escort of a rich merchant, she threw herself into combat without realising that her inexperience with escorts would be her undoing. In an attempt to save the merchant, her left arm was mostly cleaved off, leaving but half of her upper arm to bleed out. Had it not been for the good number of healers that day, she would not have made it and that would sit in her gut for the rest of her days. Her attitude did not improve so well as she simply blamed the merchant and his horrid guards (who were rather poor at their job as some had ran off with the money in hand), fueling what ended up becoming an outward appearance of being disgusted and grumpy. Such an appearance ultimately kept people away from her, her only interactions were with employers and nothing else.
  
Her continued strife of finding answers caught the attention of '''[[Varus Rosenthal]]''', whom attempted to pry her into his own work and make her an heir based on her magical strength and fortitude. She denied the invitation and the two of them begun fighting, X'Septha wanting Varus dead and him wanting X'Septha dead or alive. The conflict spread over the moon and it gradually wore her down, Varus taking advantage of her lack of combat ability due to her use of illusions and he started taking things away from her to wear her down further and further. First was her arms, second her pride, third her conscience and lastly her ability to trust. Using on of his minions, he fooled X'Septha into running after Varus in an attempt to gain answers. The result was a fight to the death, one that ended in a loss. X'Septha was ambushed from behind as she attempted the final strike and was struck from behind, and instant death awaited.

Her left arm shows a shoulder almost lost, layers of scarring drop from the top right down to what was the under arm. Each layer of scarring melts into one another, telling a story of vicious cutting with a jagged tool along with burning of the flesh. Her right possesses a stump that cuts merely a few inches off from the shoulder, the cut clean and the scarring much more smoother than the left side presenting evidence of proper amputation. The shoulders bear minute burning scars, much deeper in colour than on the left side due to it's aetheric nature. Ceruleum burns. Her right eye (visually left) seems duller in tone, much less shine. A glass fake, merely made to be manipulated to look like a real eye. She is always accompanied by a pair of prosthetic limbs and while they look quite real, there is a constant hum and a strange eye constantly looking around from right wrist. A blue eye, always watching and always wary, is a mammet core. It controls and operates the arms based on knowledge or on the user's feelings or vocal commands. It has the capacity to shut itself, guarding from any attacks.

Chaotic Neutral - Septha tends to spend most of her life on a whim, most of her actions being spontaneous. Her actions are extremely unpredictable and her disdain view on law and order generally broadens her options on actions. Self interest drives her the most, yet anyone with strong knowledge on her still have a hard time understanding what she's going to do next.


● Motivations/Goals

Aside from her constant self loathing, Septha has no motivations nor goals in life. She lives her life how she wishes, the things she wishes to do change constantly like the weather. As of late however she's taken to teaching her new companion "Fidget" to understand her and understand the world around him, along with what he needs to do to aid Septha. Even her magic, heavily thaumatergy, does not seem a goal or motivation and she seems to continue her study at her own pace rather than full dedication like most mages.

● Disposition

Septha has a driving personality when it comes to keeping people away from her. She can and will shove people away, through intimidation or constant flat out rejection. If people continue to persist and she doesn't have any fondness for them, she can resort to violence to shoo them away. This however is merely a protective shell for her thoughts and feelings. Her true nature is one that is constantly on edge. She is genuinely afraid of the world around her, the more bad things that happen the worse this fear grows and as such she is never seen truly content nor happy. Good things tend to put her pain and fear at ease, but only temporary and the numb feeling dulls out over time. Instead of outright dealing with the situation and seek aid from others, she outright gone and pushed people away instead and to hide her true motives and feelings around those she feels comfortable around. The closer she gets with a person, the more she starts to open up the more pain and fear she starts to feel.

To her, she knows fully well everything she does to everyone is a lie, but a lie she deems as something she has to do to ease the pain of the trauma she's experienced.

● Friends

Brave Horizon – The first person who truly persisted in wanting to know Septha more. The two of them are close, with Septha relating Brave to a family member she had lost, akin to an older sister. She is extremely comfortable around Brave, considering her "big heart" a reason why she feels far more at ease talking about thing she usually wouldn't than to anyone else. Refers to as "Tall Blondie" or "Muscle Loader" .
Arcian Martell – Another person she appreciates having around. As much as she makes fun of her dimness, she knows fully well what the Highlander can do but never speaks of it. She considers Arcian to be a great friend, but refuses to openly admit it unless drunk. No one is sure why she won't admit it. Refers to as "Blondie" or "Dumbo".
Kyraeth Vale – An unusual Hyur that she worked under for a single job, which eventually grew into a friendship. While she doesn't know all that much about her, nor does she really want to, her company is always appreciated along with the tea and snacks. Especially the snacks. Refers to as "Princess".
Flickering Ember – Their conversations may be few in number, but X'Septha sees Ember as one of a kind heart. She can't help but feel comfortable around her, despite the constant nervous air X'Septha gives. Refers just as "Ember".
Striding Oak - Oak earned near instant respect upon meeting, a rather rare case for X'Septha to do. The two get along very well and X'Septha is eager and willing to aid Oak in any way she can. She has quietly dubbed Oak as a "carrier", though she will not admit to what it means. Refers to as "Shrub".
Reima Awen If there is anyone that X'Septha would invite to a tea party every time, it would be Reima. Their fascination for all things lost and mythical cause them to compliment each other likes sweets and tea. X'Septha is definitely not afraid to talk endlessly about the old ways of thaumaturgy and their ancient grimoires with Reima. Refers to as "Missus Faerytale".

● Acquaintances

Leon Greymoon - They often talk and have interesting discussions, but X'Septha doesn't really hold anything to or against him. Perhaps it's just the lack of knowing him. He does pester her a lot about her "adorable antics", which irritates her a lot, but she knows it's simply out of fun and this she hasn't attempted to send Leon to the Umbral Plane.
Bertrand Irons - They met under awkward circumstances, but X'Septha doesn't mind the doctor and his humour. She'd love to talk with him over lunch, but they always end up in the awkward "patient|doctor" situation due to X'Septha old habit of self destruction.
