Logan Holden is a Warrior of Light hailing from Moraby Bay, where he grew up with a fisherman father and a Yellowjacket mother, alongside his fraternal twin Cherise. He left home after a series of dreams began to press themselves into his mind, including while he was wide awake. His sister decided to join him, and together the pair left for Ul'dah. From there he learned to fight while being a member of the Gladiator's Guild, and his eagerness to assist any who needed it was a valuable asset as a member of the Adventurer's Guild, and eventually he was given the offer to join the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. After joining, he ended up captured and facing tempering by the Amalj'aa primal, Ifrit, but found himself immune. Since then he's grown as a warrior, and began leading a small group of Scions, later forming the Free Company Awoken Wanderers with them, and becoming known as a Warrior of Light.
Unknown to Logan, his early skill with fighting, his aetherpool, and connection to Hydaelyn comes from the soul of a Warrior of Light that was lost and otherwise forgotten after Bahamut released his barrage against Eorzea, an Elezen known as Lusiel Coydan. While they have no direct connection, Logan has become aware of her presence, and often does she manage to send him small amounts of knowledge or feelings about people or places she's seen. He also has a heavy empathetic connection to his Echo visions, and can acutely feel the emotions of those he sees in his visions. He never forgets them, and should he dwell on them too much, they will return in full force, which is something he often has to guard against.

Free Company: Awoken Wanderers

The Awoken Wanderers were formed by Logan and his group of adventuring friends to create a home for both them, and give them a banner under which to go by when not acting within the confines of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. It's main goal is to help assist and train adventurers, helping them learn the dangers of adventuring and how to get ahead in the Adventurer's Guild.

Height: 5 fulms 11 ilms

Weight: 186 ponz

Complexion: Fair.

Hair: Dark brown.

Eyes: Dark brown.

Logan's just above average height, with wide shoulders, and lots of muscle from hefting around his armour and shield, as well as putting them to use quite often. You'd be hard pressed to see them, aside from those on his arms, but Logan's covered in many small scrapes and scars from his many battles, though nothing that hasn't been able to be healed up for the most part. His hair is thick and soft, his eyes watchful, and his face looking like he's either very focused or a little upset, unless he's actively trying to look happy.

Behavior

Logan does his best to always be respectful of others upon meeting them, and generally stays quiet and lets them talk, until he's required to speak. When he is, he tends to answer in the shortest form possible, and often stammers through words until he can get a feel of the person and the conversation.
When with people he trusts and feels comfortable with, he's far more open and enjoys telling jokes, stories, and listening to others. Even still, you'll often find him on his own, or to one side, as being around a lot of people can make him uncomfortable after long periods of time. He enjoys his quieter time to himself quite a bit.
Logan is incredibly hard to make angry, though he may feign annoyance and frustration to give what he assumes is the desired reaction from a joke. He always makes sure you know when he's serious, and he hopes he'll get your attention as much as he'd give you his.
The only time you'll see Logan honestly upset or angry is towards those who don't understand how to take care of others, or those who have betrayed or hurt people. He has little tolerance for the evils of the world, and holds fast to the phrase "do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
If possible, Logan will prevent the death of any intelligent being, from the Elezen of Isghard to the Kobolds of La Noscea, putting his shield and sword pommel to good use. He does, however, accept that Eorzea is embroiled in violent conflicts, and that peaceful solutions are not always possible, and is willing to kill if necessary.

Fears

Ever since the Calamity, Logan's been scared of dragons. After being introduced to the more peaceful side of dragons in Dravania, his fear has lessened, but they can still make him heavily uneasy.
Being in a leadership position among his friends and even Eorzea, he's terrified of failure and letting down those who hold him to such a high standard.

Preferences

Logan's ideal is someone who's willing to trust him, and open themselves to the same trust. Someone who's willing to work with him to create a solid relationship, knowing they'll have problems, but ready to work through them. He expects to have children and looks forward to raising a family.
That said, he ended up infatuated with the mysterious Miqo'te, Aiko Slanda, who appeared early in his journey away from home. While she doesn't seem to fit his ideals at all, he nonetheless fell for her, knowing that as much as she needed the stability he was sure he could provide, but that she might hold a key to pushing him forward as a person, and to experience life to its fullest.

Abilities/Skills

Logan is trained mostly in the combat style of Gladiators and Paladins, though he knows a little of conjury from Jen, and has some skill as a Dragoon as well.

Weapons

Aettir, Holy Shield

Magic

Logan knows what magic was taught to him through his Paladin Soul Crystal, as well as some simple conjury and healing ability from his cousin, Jen.

Crafting

Logan has some simple crafting ability in the disciplines of weaving and carpentry, just enough to mend simple damage to such items, as he often assisted in the repair of items required for the family fishing business.

Talents

Childhood

By the time Logan and Cherise were born, his parents were already set up in Moraby Bay. He knew little else for many years, aside from the Red Rooster Stead to the north, where his grandparents on his father's side live. His mother stayed at home and watched the twins for the first few years, until they were old enough to join their father on his fishing trips - under heavy watch. As they continued to grow, they began to assist with increasingly larger tasks with the fishing business until they were nearly full fledged members of the business, and were able to accompany their father to trips into Limsa Lominsa.

The Calamity

Things were tense for the year leading up the Calamity, business was shaky with the threat of the Garlean invasion, people were nervous, and though Logan and Cherise were mostly removed from much of it, even they knew things weren't right. Life became not quite as routine as it used to be, things were harder, and their parents were often stressed. Things weren't looking great, and then the moon fell. The sight had bothered Logan for weeks, knowing it was getting closer, and not knowing what that meant. The day it cracked open, and with the Garleans attacking in full force, Logan found himself huddled together with his family in their home, praying to the Twelve that they would make it out alive. All Logan ever saw from Dalamud or Bahamut was the flashes of flame, and the roars of debris and primal dragon alike. It was an experience he would never forget.

The Call

Things got better after the Calamity. It took a lot of work, but despite being separate from the mainland, work immediately set out on a bridge to reconnect the God's Grip to the rest of La Noscea. While Moraby Bay had taken damage, both the Holden household and the fishing ship that his father used, were perfectly intact. Business was kicked back up, and there was much work to do between fixing up the ports and building the bridge. It was hard, but different from when the Garleans were pressuring the Eorzean borders. Soon five years had gone by, and Logan had barely noticed. He now accompanied his father and sister nearly every day onto their fishing expeditions, along with the crew. But he began to have strange dreams, those of him becoming a great warrior brandishing a sword and shield, fighting against a dark cloaked figure, spurred on by an aetherial voice. It soon became obvious enough that it was a calling, not a dream, and with his parents' blessing and his sister's company, set out to Ul'dah to become a gladiator and adventurer.

Family

Sheryl Holden, (Mother)
Logan's Thoughts: TBA
Logan's mother was an adventurer once upon a time, though even after deciding to settle down, found a simple life wasn't quite for her, so she works as a Yellowjacket, helping to guard and keep safe the dwellers of La Noscea. She's very pleasant, and has a much keener sense of humour than her husband.
Daniel Holden, (Father)
Logan's Thoughts: TBA
Logan's father, through means unknown to the boy still, found himself in a partnership with a small ship's captain, and his first mate. Together they sail the seas off the shores of Lower La Noscea fishing up all they can manage in a day, day after day. He's generally a serious looking person, but get on his good side and he'll always have your back. He's extremely intelligent.
Cherise Holden, (Fraternal Twin Sister)
Logan's Thoughts: TBA
Jennifer grew up in Gridania, away from Logan and his side of the family, so they only know each other by a few letters and one meeting from when they were children. Still, he finds her to be a great supporter of both him and his work, and admires her ability to speak so casually with just about anyone and get on their good side. He's extremely happy he's been able to get to know her more since leaving home.

Non-Family

Aiko Slanda, (Girlfriend)
An Arcanist Logan found while wandering Thanalan, she quickly saw his use in all manner of activities around the region, particularly his "willingness" to distract monsters while she either fought them or went about other business. As he was friendly enough, she began to follow him about as he trained as a gladiator, until she found herself swept up in events after being taken alongside him to Ifrit to be tempered. After this she seemed to stick around, and while she often scared Logan as much as anything else, he found her a comfort, especially in that she didn't seem to judge him overly much, and proved a wonderful distraction when things started becoming difficult and discouraging. It didn't take long for him to develop feelings for her, but was warned early that she may not be one to accept such an admission. So he held off saying anything at all to her about this for years, in fear that she might instead run away and never be seen again.
However, after fleeing to Ishgard, Logan found Aiko had disappeared overnight without a word. His worst fear already come true, he abandoned the Scions with word he was going to retrieve her and bring her back, no matter what it took. Not everyone was overly accepting of this, but none convinced him to stay. He spent the next few weeks searching. When he finally found her in a cave not far from the goblin settlement where they had felled a dragon not long into their time with the Scions. Logan revealed then and there that he had feelings for Aiko, since she had already run off, there seemed to be little downside to the admission. To his surprise, she accepted it, and agreed to return to Ishgard with him. Despite the admission, little changed in their relationship, though with the distraction of their newfound fight in Ishgard, it was unsurprising. It was discouraging to Logan however, as he now no longer knew what to to do next, and it seemed as though Aiko had simply returned to their normal way of doing things, and maybe hadn't taken his admission seriously. After a word with Tataru however, who had absolutely noticed a change in Aiko's mood and behaviour, and had not known about the admission beforehand, assured Logan that must've been the difference.
Despite this information Logan had little time to formulate a relationship plan, so it wasn't until shortly after returning from defeating the primal of King Thordan that he officially asked Aiko to openly be in a relationship. Again, somewhat to his surprise, she agreed. Since then, things have continued mostly as usual, but Logan is very happy knowing that she has agreed to stay with him.
M'zikuh Rhaba
One of Logan's oldest adventuring friends, and a fellow Warrior of Light and member of Awoken Wanderers
William Fedorason
A fellow Warrior of Light, and one of Logan's good friends, leader of his own Free Company.
Sugis Kevade
Someone who enjoys torturing Logan almost as much as Aiko, but very willingly helps to distract him from the stresses of being a Warrior of Light, since she works very closely with Will, as well as being a member of his Free Company.
