Lawful Evil. General Information Datura is a Lalafell of two bloods, though anyone who sees her from first glance realizes that she is more Dunesfolk than anything else. Taught Arcanima and Nymian’s ancient magics in slavery, she tends to drive any questions and conversation about herself to her work and what she likes to do in her spare time. She has a heavy dream of learning about everything in the world, and will not stop until she achieves it. Along her adventures, however, has she met quite the whimsical party – Leifon Altugle, Hirokuli Zerokuli, and Coco Coco, are some examples of such. In most scenarios, Datura can appear to be Lawful Good; she seemingly never tells lies, always helps those she feels need it, and does what she can for those she loves and cares for. When it comes down to business or, however, her habits lean towards Lawful Evil. Seedy business has been in her blood ever since her Free Company’s foundations, and the Lalafell is very aware of what may happen to her and those she loves if she doesn’t follow rules she is bounded by. ❝ Quote. ❞ Appearance Anyone who met Datura in previous moons would know that the Lalafell was easy to point out by her dark purple hair, green streaks, and butterfly tattoo. Now that she has returned more to the public eye, new and old faces will find her with bright purple eyes, lighter purple hair, and markings all across her face. Her skin has darkened a little more, and the tips can be described as “burnt” when looked upon in closer inspection. Those of Garlean descent (and knowledge) will notice a Third Eye on her forehead. It should also be noted that Datura’s hair is longer than expected. Her hair falls to her hips, and most of the fashion she wears is very seldom androgynous (though she still enjoys it to the fullest when she can). Her hair is also braided from top to bottom, and adorned in beads that only Ala Mhigans would wear. She has different tastes in clothing, and prefers wearing shorts over skirts if she can help it. Eorzeans may find her wearing rich and silky fabrics of Thavnair origin if she is around Coco Coco’s household. Aesthetics aside, Datura can wear all the clothes she wants but still maintains a smile and a bright expression. She very seldom wears makeup – only on the lips – and can appear weak to those who are quick to size up folks they approach. People should be wary, however, as her small stature retains a lot of power she does not like to use on others. Eyes Hair Skin Build Voice Lavender. Lavender. Hickory. Small, no muscles. Personality Psychological Profile Those who meet Datura will find that it is generally difficult to get on her nerves. She has an opinion for just about anything, but refuses to say it unless someone wishes to hear her speak her mind. She finds joy in meeting people, learning about their cultures, and lights up when meeting someone she knows. When her emotions are negatively impacted however, those who speak to her should look out; at first it may seem like mild irritation, but Datura tends to use just the right amount of words to hurt feelings in retaliation. Voice Example of Voice - Arulumaya (Maaya Sakamoto). Philosophy & Mannerisms Datura believes that she has a duty to follow, and will generally follow it as if it was sworn to her under blood oath. She grows irritated or disappointed in herself if she seems to “fail” at whatever she does, yet is willing to sacrifice all that she is doing for those that she loves. She believes people will find themselves happy if they live life the way they want to (so long as they do not hurt one another). She is also quick to take care of others and other obligations first, often going days without eating or drinking until one of her retainers – or Coco – breaks the streak and forces her to do so. In stressful scenarios, one may find her afraid of consequences were she to fail. Combat, Abilities & Weaponry Basic Statistics High: Aether capacity & healing capability. Above Average: Swiftness & magical ability. Average: Health & charisma. Low: Physical strength & Melee combat. Glass cannon. Aetheric Abilities Mastery: Arcanima, strengthened by ancient Nymian texts. Expert: Swiftness & magical ability. Average: Time magic. Inherited by her late mother, Datura can weave aether to do certain things like slow/stop enemies, manipulate gravity (to an extent), and move a little quicker in her steps. This is at the cost of her stamina, though. Novice: Physical strength & Melee combat. She also has a poor hand at Thaumaturgy and Conjury. Weapon Training Mastery: Can use tomes, specializing in magical codices. Expert: Star Globes; Grimoires. Average: Daggers and lances. Her time as a rebellious Ala Mhigan slave forced her to use knives to defend herself, while she learned how to use a lance from an old time friend, Renoko. Novice: Most, if not all, weapon capabilities. She’s recently started picking up a rapier through Coco’s training. Most of this comes from the fact that she is not built to wield such weapons, or is weak due to her poor health. Combat Relevant Skills High: Can use tomes, specializing in magical codices. Above Average: Star Globes; Grimoires. Average: Daggers and lances. Low: Most, if not all, weapon capabilities. Non-Combat Abilities ● High IQ: Datura can absorb information easily and understand difficult texts and situations as needed. ● Tomebreaker: Since her youth, Datura can rip through tomes at an alarmingly fast pace. As a result, reading books or reports for long-term missions is easy. ● Fleet Feet: Datura not only moves fast, but quietly, too. It is one skill she has kept to herself since Ala Mhigo. ● Aetherial Hypersensitivity: Datura can sense the abundance of aether in the air. The only setback is that the stronger it is, the weaker she becomes. It’s easy to tell by her reddening face, ears, or when she starts to wobble in her steps. Combat Abilities ● Poisoncraft: They don’t call her Venenum for nothing. Datura specializes in creating poisons to use in battle, from dipping daggers into vials to creating smoke bombs. She tends to keep this to herself, though. ● Extensive Arcanima: Scholar magicks. Datura can create barriers, mitigate damage, and call upon her fairy partner – Sol – for assistance. Her fairy is typically used for practicality more than healing. ● Time Magic: Enhanced Astromancy. Datura finds herself to be a jack-of-all-trades, but a master of none. Whether she wishes to pick up the Globe and master the craft of her mother is all up to her. OOC Note • I’m very fond of lore-bending, and am usually lenient on such unless the lore directly states that it cannot happen. I love fights of all sorts (particularly dice rolls and freeform), and am willing to work with what others have. Datura has many quirks about her, but not all of them are used on a daily basis! ❤ • Because the lore for FFXIV is constantly changing, it should be to no surprise that Datura changes, too. I will be constantly updating this page depending on where the lore needs to be adjusted! • A lot of this might seem much, but most of the roleplay I do only ever references minimal combat efforts (e.g., she has to attune to a weapon to use it first). Datura is kind of like a jack of trades, but she very rarely masters anything. Arcanima would be the closest to mastering! • I’m still trying to catch up and find some time to Roleplay, so a lot of Datura’s lore (such as rapier usage and her design choices) are actually after an arc that Coco and I are supposed to do! We’ve just decided to change our appearances for the sake of the expansion!

History . Disclaimer: For the sake of myself and others, a lot of what is mentioned is kind of in the dark. Datura will only tell her truest of friends what is really going on in her lifetime, as well as of her past. Sixth Astral Era Childhood Datura Venenum was born to Leilala Leila and Tentura Tonatura, two Lalafell that made home at a small cottage located in Raincatcher Gully. She was the second youngest child (out of a family of seven), and was one of the more aether sensitive out of the rest of her family. In her childhood she assumed to have lost her entire family through a Sahagin raid, and made a run for it when the entire cottage was set ablaze. All of the evidence pointed to her being an only child. In her run, however, she was helped by an older Lalafell on the road to somewhere safe. Said Lalafell gave her food and water that would last her up until she arrived at Little Ala Mhigo, where she ended up falling unconscious before her late slave master – Ildoix Soumont. It was after their small time in the area that they traveled to Ala Mhigo, where Datura would find herself working to ensure survival. Datura has quickly learned that she has also spent some time in Garlemald, given her third eye. She isn’t sure when and where, and would like to find out someday. Seventh Umbral Era Adulthood The older Datura grew the more that her master left the premises, up until the point that he disappeared for three moons. He had started researching ways to handle the Green Death (or, “Tonberry Disease”) and was nearing a breakthrough in a case. Growing worried and fearful of what may have happened to him, Datura would set out to Eorzea to locate him – joining ranks in a Free Company and practicing her magic along the way. It was when she started researching the Wanderer’s Palace that she came across her master, subjected to the disease and traveling as far as he could on his slow, green legs. Datura nursed him back to health from Mamool Ja infiltration, and kept him with her up until his passing. What most do not know about Datura is that the death was not of illness, but of homicide. By her hands. In Recent Times Moving Forward Datura has found herself investigating her familial life and has recently recruited her siblings (whom she was unaware of), Tomomo and Forono, to her party. The more she uncovers however, the more she finds that her life wasn’t as pleasant as she thought it would be. Most of her time nowadays is looking through old information with Coco and company, though she has recently decided to take a break to catch up with old friends.

She was known for her strength in time magic, and had warped time enough to where Datura wasn’t aware that she had siblings to begin with. He used to let me watch him craft while I ate our small soup dinners!” A Plainsfolk man whose only memory Datura seems to have of him is the two of them traveling together for business. As far as Datura knows, Tentura was a man of business with networks in both Ul’dah and Limsa. Sources proclaimed that he was dead. They lied. Cocobelle Cobelle, Stepmom. ( ✔ ✝ )- The Late Mistress. [TEXT] Tomomo Tomo, sister. ( ✔ )- Pirate Captain of The Narasimha. “She’s crude, rude, but… she has a lot of potential. I can see why she lived.” When Datura initially heard of Tomomo, she was getting mixed signals from people. She is known for owning several ships in a fleet, having a large crew, and being overall terrifying to most… except, unfortunately, she’s also known for coercing sex to get what she wants. Still, she loves her as a sister, and has seen that she has proven her worth in battle. Forono Vitono, brother. ( ✔ )- Keeper of Trees. “He’s quiet, and loves nature. Stop teasin’ him!” A quiet, calm boy that refuses to fight much and likes to take a pacifist kind of lifestyle. He’s usually seen tending to the plants outside the Coco household, as well as taking long strolls to the Conjurer’s Guild in Gridania. Compared to Tomomo, he doesn’t have that big of a reputation on him. Lulubelle, Stepsister. ( ✖ )- The Troublemaker. [TEXT] Jeanfrancis, Butler; Retainer. ( ✔ )- The Father Figure. “He’s been with me since Free Company days, ya know!” A butler who cooks, cleans, and dresses Datura every morning. Though he engages in what he does best, Datura looks up to him as more of a parent than anything else. Rupipi Rupi, Retainer. ( ✔ )- Sharpshooter. “Don’ bother her unless you need her for somethin’, aye?” Datura’s retainer that wields both a Spear and Shield for fighting good fights. She’s very quiet, but blunt; she only worries about finishing missions. Close Friends (Story) Sisiji Siji. ( ✔ )- Coeurlface. “Jiji!! Yer better with the bow than I expected!” A goldsmith who spends her daytime working in the Guild while acting as an information broker for an underground network. She was a slave who protected Datura as much as she possibly could, and has a scar on her face as a result. Cosmic Brownie. ( ✔ )- The Silenced Anomaly. “I know she only says Brownie, but she’s got her own little language goin’ on here!” Selectively mute, and scared of socializing, Brownie is a girl that only says “Brownie.” She is called Cosmic Brownie because her face reflects the stars in the sky.
