Seems to travel light, with high quality yet well worn belongings and attire Hair & Eyes Dark, raven black hair hangs loose arond his face, left to do as it pleased for the most part. While it not exactly short, Tserende seems to keep it to a manageable length, reaching to just below his jaw at the longest sections. A short, scruffy layer of stubble seemed to linger around his chin and jawline as well. By far however, one of the most attention grabbing features of his face are his eyes -- pale, steel blue and icy. Vibrant in color and expression, they keep track of his surroundings with an acute awareness behind the spectacles which rest upon his nose. Physique & Markings Easily reaching the upper spectrum in height among his fellow Midlander peers, Tserende sports a rather athletic and sturdy build while still remaining lean. Years of presumed training and strife have left him with a carefully toned body, clearly accustomed to some form of intensive manual or martial exertion. Tiny scars dot his pale arms and hands when exposed, along with several more substantial markings marring his chest and back. The most prominent of these however lays plain across his face for all to see, cutting a gruesome line down from one brow to the opposing jawline. Were one to look past that they would find a rather handsome face though, accented with a light dusting of freckles along the tops of his cheeks. Hygiene & Attire Tserende quite clearly goes to some lengths to present himself in the best light possible for all of those who happen across him, always freshly washed and groomed when such is possible. His wardrobe, despite being well worn, is of high quality and well tended, and he decorates himself with a small assortment of simple leather, cloth and dull iron jewelry -- rings, necklaces, and bracelets. while his range of colors may leave much to be desired (tending to linger amongst the darker colors of black, grey, and dulled silver) one would be hard-pressed to criticize his sense of dress. For those finding themselves in closer proximity to him, a subtle cool, minty scent seems to linger about his person, along with the faint smell of tobacco smoke. Personality Psychological Profile Being something of an introvert, Tserende largely keeps to himself and those few he cares to associate himself with on a regular basis. While he is not out-going, he does his best to keep his interactions polite unless slighted first, even when he feels out of his element. Dedicated and loyal at heart, he does his best to provide for those deemed a friend and will do the nigh impossible to accomplish something he has given his word to finish. One can only imagine what could be the cause for it, but the determined, slow-burning fire that ignites within when he is pushed to the limits is something to behold, along with the obsessive drive it brings with it. Voice A rich, medium baritone in tone, Tserende's voice is one rarely raised above conversational levels. He is not one to scream of yell when angry, though he is of course perfectly capable of doing so. Instead, it would take a rather commanding and icy undertone. That being said, it does carry a rather pleasant quality to it when he is idly chatting, and his speech carries a refined, clipped manner to it that indicates a level of education more common among the gentry-class. Coupled with the accent that clearly marks him an outsider to the surroundings he generally puts himself into, he does tend to stand out for this, among other reasons. Philosophy & Mannerisms A pessimist by some standards, and an optimist by others -- Tserende has little faith in the good of the larger entities and beings in charge of directing the world around him. Slighted one too many times and stabbed several beyond a reasonable limit, he has taken a rather critical view of things over the past several years. At the bottom of it all however, he does believe that if he is determined and dedicated enough, he may be able to leave the world a better place than when he arrived. Inspiring change in systems and people however, is a long and arduous process. Creating a just and fair environment for those around him who are deserving of such is all worth it though, is it not? Certainly there must be at least one soul out there worthy of the effort. A rather cathartic rhythm to fall into, as he tells it. ● Moderate cartographer: A more recent development and interest which he picked up when he started his travels. By no means an expert, but certainly a well-grounded student. ● Novice herbalist: Not exactly his specialty, but he knows enough to not poison himself in the wilds at least.

Judging from the number of scars and nicks which dot his body, one would be led to guess it a mix of all of the above. Grim and unwavering tenacity in the face of harm and danger seems to be rather second nature to him, regardless of what may be put in front of him when it comes to completing a task he has set his mind to. Whether this is a boon in truth or not, is yet to be seen. ● Well Traveled: Originating from Ishgard, Tserende has traveled quite the ways since living there. Acquainting himself with all of the knowledge and know-how of the trailblazers of old was something which was bound to happen eventually, though he is loathe to call himself a master of the field by any means. Regardless, he is quite the seasoned adventurer when it comes to navigation, and his skill with mapping tools is something which only seems to improve the he puts it to the test. Combat Abilities ● Martial Prowess: Serving under a rather small, but no less fanatic in their zeal to serve and provide House, Tserende was thrown into training at a rather young age. He took to combat with the ease of a natural, and his aptitude and success garnered the respect of several peers -- and the ire of just as many others. There was never a day passing in which his abilities were not tested, both with blade and patience. He did not hesitate to take the opportunity to hone either of those things. ● Illusive Opponent: While his body did not lend him the strength of the giants among men, or the agility of those more light-footed, Tserende did make a rather potent use of something he did have. His mind and wit. Making meticulous work of studying and practicing defensive measures and retaliations, he has developed a rather potent array of ripostes, feints, and other counter-attacks into his arsenal. While he was perhaps not the best at pushing a direct assault onto someone, his ability to turn an opponents movements and actions against them was something truly spectacular. OOC Note Combat RP in my opinion should be done either through the use of approximate emotes and responses (X attempts to Y, then Y attempts to X), or through the use of dice. Typically if I do not know a person very well I will ask them to roll dice, if a reasonable outcome cannot be determined OOCly first. This avoids undue conflict between people of similar skill. To those I trust not to abuse the system, approximate emotes in combat may be used. Don't hesitate to send a tell if this is unclear.

(●) - The Employer. Character's Thoughts: "Fire. I'd be laughed at to be seen under her employment by those from home, but under first impressions, she seems fierce enough. Besides, looking after someone is something I know well -- and what better way to get to know the local area and its intricacies than working under one of its renowned houses?" A new acquaintance, arranged by way of letter in response to Tserende's poking about for employment. First impressions went well enough, in his opinion, and they were able to reach an agreement in terms they both seemed to find agreeable -- his blade for a steady roof over head. That was one less thing he would have to worry about in this new city. Kiyokage Mizuhiki, Positive. (✔♦) - The Student. Character's Thoughts: "Rough around the edges, to say the least. But his blunt honesty with his thoughts speaks for itself. Perhaps I see a bit of myself in him somewhere, and that's why I've taken a bit of interest in his well-being and path." Tserende first caught of wind of Kiyokage by word of mouth, hearing talk of someone looking for certain individuals well-versed in styles of combat that Tserende was more than well acquainted with. After meeting, the strange fellow was more direct in what he was after with Tserende -- he seemed to be stumbling down a road Tserende was all too familiar with. Nabi Kharlu, Positive. (✔♦) - The Herbalist. Character's Thoughts: "Uncertainty. Conversations with her are oddly comforting -- Though I'm left wondering 'why' afterwards." After finding himself in the woman's employ for her first venture out into the wilds, he chose to stick around. Perhaps it was the apparent similarities that seemed to draw him in, like a moth to a flame. The much needed relaxation and seeming genuineness to their interactions was something he found much value in however, despite the cynical and often times harsh criticisms he levied towards himself afterwards. IC Inventory The following items are things that this individual carries on their person at all times. These are noted for pickpockets, and those watching her closely. This information is meant to be a prompt for insight and is not to be meta-gamed, though feel free to use this information if it comes up logically in RP (pickpocketing, a search, etc) with use of a simple /tell. ■ Coinpurse: A simple coin purse made of soft leather, containing loose gil and bank notes worth several hundred each. ■ Weaponry: A large, two handed sword typically kept slung over shoulder. It seems rather old, yet well cared for -- still quite functional despite the apparent age of the dull colored metal and well worn embellishments and decorations engraved upon it. ■ Jewelry: Numerous pieces of leather, cloth, dull iron and silver jewelry are displayed in the form of rings, necklaces, and bracelets. He typically has at least one of each on at any given day, though they are all equally well worn and aged.
