SUMMARY: A young mage, once an apprentice and Gwannes' first substantial friend upon his arrival in Eorzea. The two met while Edda was no older than 12 and Gwannes was still quite young himself, both members of an ill-fated Ul'Dahn adventuring company. Although the guild was not long for this world, their friendship survived the Braves' collapse and they remain close to this day. Even if their relationship is slightly complicated by Edda's discovery of forbidden otherworldly powers beyond man's wildest dreams.

Baeyl has proven herself to be a kind soul that has survived incredible tragedy at the hands of Dalamud's fall, along with one of Gwannes' most steadfast allies. So steadfast, infact, that he found himself (to his own terror) quite smitten with the woman, and later found out (to far greater terror) that his feelings were reciprocated.

SUMMARY: The flamboyant Black Magic kingpin of Ul'Dah himself. Nathaniel, or "Dirge" as he's known, is the leader of the Crescent Eminence, a hidden order of void-hunters that Gwannes is allied with. While Nathaniel himself has a number of questionable traits about him, Gwannes can't possibly doubt the man's proficiency at putting down voidsent. Though, what complicates things the most are Nate's feelings towards Edda, and vice-versa.

Although his specialty lies in tracking beasts and not people, he was far too nervous to actually mention this, and ended up being pulled into a journey through Thanalan that culminated in him nearly being stabbed to death in a cave. He still doesn't know the woman's true affiliations or motivations, but he has more than enough drive to accompany her on her quest.

SUMMARY: One of the few people that Gwannes has ever truly, utterly despised. A bandit and bloodthirsty wandering axeman with a penchant for extremely violent murder, Oskwell clashed with Red Duck on several occasions during his time as a Wailer. While he's since left most of his grudges during that period behind, he can't begin to quell the feelings he has for Duck.

SUMMARY: An elderly wandering lancer that has been seen semi-infrequiently in various places across Aldenard, ranging from the Shroud to the furthest reaches of Dravania, often traveling with Gwannes. He appears to have known the young hunter for a while now, but Gwannes still fears the man quite a bit. And for good reason.

Normally he wouldn't trust her as far as he could throw her, but since she's a lalafell that's pretty far, so instead he just doesn't trust her.

SUMMARY: A mysterious assailant clad in ornate red armor that was set upon Gwannes and Edda during their investigation into an abandoned library. Upon confronting them, it proceeded to hand the two possibly one of the most crushing defeats they've ever suffered, then snatched a book referred to only as "The Codex" before razing the library around them to the ground and escaping. It's yet to be seen since, but Gwannes has a feeling it's only a matter of time.
