Hilda Alarias was born to a mildly wealthy Ul'dahn family, raised from birth as a soldier by her father. Every waking moment was spent on honing her skills of war- until her eighth summer, where she met a travelling scholar in the markets. Her interest in the arcane piqued, she asked the scholar to take her with him on his travels, teaching her his ways as they went. They slipped out that night under the cover of darkness, and Hilda has been a travelling scholar ever since. Taking the name "Rainbow" as a way to hide from her family, she travelled Eorzea, honing her talents and eventually becoming a skilled aetherochemist.

However, many years of studying and solitude left her a hermit- dedicating most of her time to keeping her nose in a book, only venturing out of where ever she rested her head that night to conduct research in the field. When she was in her 21st summer, the elezen that she had looked up to for so many years, the man that had rescued her from Ul'dah and become her teacher passed. Looking to continue her studies, she took to Ishgard, wishing to learn more of the unique properties of dragon's eyes, and the vast quantities of aether stored in them. It was there she picked up her skill with a lance- what sparse free time she had was dedicated to learning the basics from the temple knight dragoons that were willing to teach her.

When the Calamity struck two years later, Hilda fled Ishgard, roaming the Dalamud-ravaged lands. She would eventually settle in the Mists of La Noscea, studying and researching day and night, only taking break to sleep and frequent a bar she had a fondness for. This bar is where she met a Miqo'te named Revilo Bluesummers- interested in the man's apparent lack of control of his aether, she vowed to help him gain control of said aether and wield power unrivaled.

Hilda and Revilo became close friends, gaining the nickname "Blue" from her then-blue hair. Eventually, Revilo would introduce her to a levedesk by the name of Blue Sky. Fascinated by the owner's tales of an ancient Allagan ruin known as the "Facility", Hilda joined Blue Sky as a contractor, helping them often. Recently, she has set aside her lance and taken an interest in learning red magic. She is now on a trip to the Far East, studying the rumors of the summoning of a primal known as Susano.

Short, black hair, with dark grey spots. While she isn't large by any means, her recent time in Blue Sky has given her a bit of muscle tone. Upon close inspection, one would note that one of her eyes is a slightly darker shade of blue than the other.
