- ⨠ at first glance: stands at 4 fulms, 11 ilms, but can reach 5 fulms on her tippy toes. she weighs approximately 90 ponzes. her daily, early morning runs around the school's ward lends sinew to her petite frame, and her delicate, deliberate movements gives her the air of being a dancer. she has long, slighty-wavy, light-colored hair (she enjoys dyeing it). her white scales, and light skin further add to her overall "softness". perhaps her most striking feature are her heterochromatic eyes, with one eye being light-blue and the other being a light-pink; giving a contrast to her heart-shaped face, delicate eyebrows, and soft lips.
- ⨠ under wraps: beneath the beauty products, the pink, and the soft smile-- chiyuri bears multiple, faded scars along her back; and some on her breasts, butt and belly.
- ⨠ aesthetic: overall, chiyuri prefers to stick to the lighter side of the color spectrum. some examples being: sage, powder blue, tan, etc. she can often be found wearing loose, breathable tops; a majority of them in her favorite color-- pink. in fact, one of her "signature" items of clothing is her pink yukata. she is not a fan of pants, and can seldom be seen wearing them; preferring to wear less-restricting items of clothing like leggings, shorts, and thigh-high socks. upon closer inspection, one can see nude-colored polish on her nails, and softly applied makeup on her face. overall, she appears to be somewhat fashion-conscious and enjoys maintaining her appearance.

- ⨠ raised in a tiny doman village by hard-handed parents along with the oppression by garlemand, whatever fire could have brewed in chiyuri's heart when she was young then was almost entirely stamped out. chiyuri learned to keep quiet very early on and do as she was told, especially since she seemed to receive harder punishments upon having others hear her natural stuttering. her natural healing ability was a curse and a blessing-- as it meant she could heal up most of her wounds after the fact. at some point when she was in her early teens, her parents decided to hand her over to the garleans to do with whatever it was they wished if it would spare the rest of the family. surprisingly, the fire that had almost but died in her heart grew as the garleans bestowed abuse upon abuse onto chiyuri. enough was enough, but she kept quiet and bided her time until she could manage to escape.
- ⨠ when one of the rebels' uprisings occured, chiyuri finally saw her chance and fought tooth and nail to escape the garlean complex she was imprisoned in; and hopped onto the first boat she could find. the boat suffered through storms, and its passengers through sickness, but it slowly made its way across the ocean despite being off its intended course. when it finally reached eorzea, chiyuri was one of the last remaining (alive) passengers. unfortunately, instead of being greeted by beaches, the passengers were greeted by cliffs as they had landed on the coast of dravania instead of la noscea.
- ⨠ chiyuri and the few remaining passengers traveled, fighting off monsters and beastmen as they looked for a safe place to settle down. on a stormy day, as chiyuri was out trying to gather firewood in the forests, she was attacked by bear when suddenly an elezen man saved her. after slaying the bear, the two went back to the camp to find that it had been ravaged and it's inhabitants killed. upon seeing the camp destroyed and the remaining survivors dead-- and after all that they had been through-- chiyuri was overcame with grief and finally broke. she fell down to the ground and cried and had not moved for hours. after realizing that she was facing certain death in her state, the elezen man carried her to his village and cared for her for she would not eat, move, or speak... except only to weep.
- ⨠ months went by until chiyuri would stop crying, but she would not talk. then a few more months went by before she started eating on her own. after almost a year of staying in the house, chiyuri finally ventured outside for the first time. however, it would not be a few more months until she started speaking again. chiyuri's way of giving back to the village was cooking up meals for the villagers, mending clothes, tending to the houses, and healing whenever needed. she never spoke about her past, but everyone seemed to understand that it was best not to ask. time went by and eventually the elezen man offered to take chiyuri to visit the rest of eorzea when the travel ban was lifted.
- ⨠ eventually, the two of them made it to gridania, and chiyuri fell in love with the different type of scenery the shroud had to offer. while exploring the town with the elezen man, they overheard BLAZE students talking amongst themselves. curious, they asked the townspeople about the academy and agreed that it was something she should check out. after helping her enroll, and after a sad parting, the elezen man returned (presumably) back to his village. chiyuri's stuttering has even gotten better and she has started to open up to those she is close with about her past, particularly with her then love interest, tirothion "reiem". she has also managed to make a best friend (who also happens to be her roommate and a fellow stutterer), khloe awandah. one day, upon chiyuri finding out about tirothion's past (his country had been annexed and he had barely finished his training), he broke down and explained everything: training, his family, fleeing his country, and the overwhelming guilt and bad memories that brewed whenever he thought about his feelings for her.
- ⨠ around the time she enrolled into the school, she had met jin hattori-- a fellow doman, samurai, and a man who traveled where he was needed-- particularly to counter the garlean plans he received through intel. he offered to take chiyuri in as a student after noticing her anxiousness and poor self-confidence-- which she accepted-- but she refused to travel with him. as chiyuri helped tirothion through his past, she found herself reliving her previous trauma in different ways, but she kept quiet about it and started to find herself training more. eventually, things grew to a head and she decided to finally end things with her boyfriend in order to focus on her studies and training with jin. the guilt she had been carrying for surviving all that she had been through needed to be answered to. some time after breaking up with tirothion and training, she noticed her sensei acting strangely with her. tired of his seeming flip-flopping feelings, thoughts, and actions, chiyuri has been slowly trying to distance herself from him and trying to accept that the basket she had seemed to put all her eggs in regarding making up for her traumatic past had been ripped away from her.
- ⨠ recently, chiyuri went through having to accept that her plans to travel with jin and avenge her fellow domans and the victims in dravania was not going to happen. he had left without a word-- again-- and she couldn't work beside somebody who had changed so much from when she first met him. the disciplined, focused, and honorable man that she had known before had given way to a selfish, careless, and juvenile person. after grieving the loss of jin, chiyuri became somewhat aimless with what she wants to achieve-- besides continuing with her studies. khloe has been visiting ishgard quite often, leaving chiyuri alone in the dorm for long periods of time. lately, chiyuri has been seen leaving campus early in the morning and coming back late in the evening. who knows what she is up to these days?
