Odile Delacroix "The thorn beneath the rose."   CHARACTER DESCRIPTION Born to a small family within the Brume, Odile has risen up through pain and hardship to become something of a grand merchant within the realm outside the confine gates of her old city-state. A pious if not devout woman, the Wildwood seeks to make her mark on the world outside the snow encased realm of her birth. Though the machinations of those long since dead and the growing plight of her kith and kin slowly seem to be drawing her back as time wears ever onward. Standing at a fairly modest height compared to those of her kin, the petite Wildwood none the less stands with a straightened back and a confident posture in spite of her diminutive size. Her face is relatively clear of blemishes with the lone exception of a long scar that twists down from the top of her left brow and ends somewhere in the middle of the self-same cheek, cutting a swatch through a small smattering of freckles that stubbornly appear with each passage into the sun. Though she seems rather at a loss when it comes to the skin pigmentation's and how to deal with their appearance, Odile none the less seems rather fresh faced compared to most who attempt to tackle such an issue. The only make up she bears is a small dusting of kohl along her eyelids and a berry mixed lip balm. The latter of which gives her lips a rather tart reddish looking hue even though it's application if mostly on the practical side much like the kohl. With short-cropped hair the bold color of red and green eyes forever glinting in calm amusement, Odile paints a rather pretty picture when first taken in at a glance. Though her grooming as well as bearing is by no means impeccable enough to be of noble origin she none the less could be considered passingly pretty to some individuals. Though it is apparent upon closer glance that she carries small bits of wear and tear that when placed in conjunction with her personality almost make her out to be older than she truly is. Her hands are calloused things, hardened from years upon years of manual labor and having long since lost the attractive smoothness that is so prized by the ladies of virtue within her home city-state of Ishgard. Small little ink stains line her fingers as testament to her trade, as well as little black pitched areas along her forearms which she will laughingly describe as a lesson in alchemy gone wrong. Faith and trust define their friendship in spite of the many hidden masks they wear and their agreed upon cluelessness towards each other's personal lives. When push comes to shove however, Valeriaux is one of the few Odile can willingly turn towards when the world comes crashing down. There are few friendships she values more and the man will always have a special place in her heart. Asher Rukoth ─ The Wolf SUMMARY: The sexual relationship between the two has met it's end with the advent of feelings that neither could see satisfied. Though they both love each other in their own ways, the both of them know that neither would be satisfied bending their preferences to suit what the other needed. Thus the painful choice to cut off their relationship and attempt to remain friends was made. Currently Odile is working herself through the heartbreak while silently giving Asher approval to continue on his way, never begrudging the women that will inevitably come into his life. Only time will tell if the two return to being as close of friends as they once were but the chances seem quite likely. Neither capable of imagining a life without the other in some capacity. Levent Bassa ─ The Merchant SUMMARY: Though they are only newly made friends Odile finds interactions with Levent to be rather calming and full of lighthearted brevity. The man brings out something of a teasing nature in her and she appreciates his overtures of aid even if she will refuse them at very turn. What remains to be seen is how their interactions will further develop, though Odile cannot help but enjoy them as they are. Erioch Koren ─ The Bartender SUMMARY: The man mixes a mean cocktail and has proven to be an invaluable confidant for the otherwise private woman. He's also the only one aside from Asher to actually call her out for her use of masks. Further he is the only one to secure a promise that Odile will always do her best to be genuine in the man's presence, something that has been unspoken for others but never outright sworn. As such Odile values the man's friendship greatly and will always be a stalwart ally. Gideon Kinsguard ─ The Unexpected Father Figure SUMMARY: While Gideon started as a tag along employee for the Mythril Blades his kindness towards Odile slowly caused her to warm towards him. Coupled with his slow healing of her leg and paternal demeanor it was inevitable that Odile would eventually come to regard the man quite highly. After a joke led Odile to admit that she saw the man as something of a father figure, the two are now slowly testing those waters. Avelyn Firestone ─ The Drunkard SUMMARY: The two have had only the barest of interactions, Odile managing the funds for the mercenary company and Avelyn being one of it's senior officers. The two seem to push at each other slightly, though they seem to find more amusement in this than anything else. Only time will tell how their interactions develop once they stop testing the waters. Though they barely know each other and have yet to have their interactions truly tested, the two seem to get along quite well all things considered... Azrilla Rausten ─ The Dragoon SUMMARY: Though the two have had very little interaction, Odile still respects the dragoon a good deal for her craft. Only time will tell how further interactions influence their standing with each other. Arisoix Vaurtefort ─ The Lordling SUMMARY: While Odile initially held a small amount of disdain for the man upon their initial meeting he has done nothing but impress her at every turn. Though they wildly disagree on as many issues as those they agree upon he has become something of a confidant in the short time she has known him. Though she has only dropped her masks in front of him a handful of times she values his friendship for what it is and is reluctant to know that eventually the day will it will change for the worse. Tristram Greythorne ─ The Flower SUMMARY: Though they haven't interacted over much she does care about the man's well being and will do her utmost to ensure that he at least is given some respite from the maelstrom that is swirling about the manor of late. Dominique La'fleur ─ The Other SUMMARY: Neeka is someone Odile can't really say she dislikes in spite of her role in the split that began between herself and Asher. The woman has a way with dancing around the subject and handling herself with poise that is very reminiscent of her own way of dealing with life and causes her to respect her greatly. That said the scars are still raw. Adun Blackblade ─ The Fist SUMMARY: It really is a wonder Odile hasn't prematurely grayed from the sheer amount of stress that Adun brings into her life on a daily basis. The man in incorrigible and downright stubborn, things that often get her blood to boiling when it comes to matters of his personal health.
