Background

Little is actually known about A'xun's past, and he prefers to keep it that way. Only a few individuals know his whole story, and they won't be likely to talk.

The story most hear is that he left the Shrouds many years ago, having no desire to become some stud animal as he had no interest in females. Shortly after he met Eirthi, an Elezan who became the Keeper's pet, friend and companion. Unfortunately, Eirthi has fallen ill and the Keeper is vague to his whereabouts when asked. Mention might also be made of the Hyur Aryses, whom at one point, A'xun was destined to wed. However, things did not work out he way planned, and Aryses left, leaving A'xun without a word of explanation. But the Keeper is nothing but resilient and with the help of U'quih, at the time just a lover and friend, he was able to start healing, since the younger Seeker put himself on suicide watch and rarely, if ever, left the Keeper's side during this part of his life. And still more learned during his travels on Eorzea, that of a half-brother, though looking at the pair, one would never guess, aside from those eerily similar eyes.

His more nurturing side came to show when he happened one day across a young Keeper, apparently afraid of his own shadow, while drinking in the Quicksand one day. A'xun took the young thaumaturge under his wing that day, and acted as friend, mentor, and place of safety, taking on an almost fatherly role to the youth. Having tried to help Devin find his brother, though yet proving unsuccessful, has nonetheless granted the Keeper almost hero status in the eyes of that youth.

Appearance

About six feet in height, with a rich dark dusky-blue skin. Though he is a mage, he sports an athletic and toned body, nicely muscled, without being overly done or too buff. Slightly androgynous in the face, with long lashes and full lips, often seen sporting eyeshadow and lip paint in subtle hues that compliment his tones. His hair, primarily that of a deep raven black, is often highlighed in various colors, though colors which overall seem to compliment him are used, hangs well to his waist. He cares a lot about how it looks and is often fussing with it. His nails are a bit longer and sharper than perhaps some other miqo'te, almost like talons. One might think he paints them, but they are naturally ebon in color. There is a large scar upon the left side of his face, from about forehead to chin, appears to have been made with a knife; a smaller scar, on the right side above his jaw, also apparently made with a small knife; left eye a deep rich crimson, right eye a brilliant and vibrant red-orange

Personality

A'xun tends to be outgoing most of the time. He also tends to be highly flirtatious on occasion, and rarely holds back from speaking his mind, which has gotten him in trouble a time or two. He has been described as silver-tongued, and can be quite charming when he is of a mind to be so. He doesn't seem to care much one way or the other about what others think of him, with the exception perhaps of a small handful of those he calls friend. He has a bit of a temper to, and is known to be fiercely protective of his friends and mates, sometimes to a fault. Also known to be at times cocky, arrogant and a bit of a peacock, he also has a gentler, caring more nurturing side, though again, only a few have been privy to this as well.

A'xun is a non-traditional Keeper, preferring the company of males over females, and has long since been removed from tribal traditions. He is one of those who is either liked or disliked, with very few ever going in between. Depending on who you ask, he is either an a**hole or a great individual to know. Honing his craft as a Black Mage, he has a definite affinity for fire magics. He tends to be fairly easy going, but also gets riled at times. Rumors abound about him, with very few seeming to have any actual basis on any minor facts. These he easily dismisses, figuring he can't stop someone from believing a rumor, and has been lucky enough to meet a few who got to know him, perhaps because of some of the rumors, and has developed a small circle of friends, preferring quality over quantity. There are also those "acquaintances" individuals he knows in passing, maybe enough to talk to, but who haven't quite earned the trust to be called friend. He is one of those types who can be really likeable one day, and then does something the next to raise questions in one's mind the next. However, despite his flaws, the fact remains he is loyal to those who have earned his trust, and can be a good individual to have on your side.

Religion

He seems to take the teachings of Menphina pretty seriously. Most of the time, though he is not a "zealot."

Quirks

• He is rarely seein publicly wearing anything "decent" preferring to show as much skin as possible. One can assume he would probably run around naked if he wouldn't get arrested for it.
• He seems to be very warm, much warmer than the average Miqo'te or anything else. Standing close to him at times is like standing next to a space heater.

Combat

His primary and best known method of combat is that of a mage, using aetheric energies to cast powerful spells. However, he is also fairly adept as close-quarters hand to hand combat, and can generally hold his own in a fist fight if it comes to that.

Family & Relationships (NPCs)

Rav'ahn- Rav was Xun's biological father. The man is a virtually unknown entity, having disappeared from the Keeper's life before he was even born. His mother described him as charming, seductive, and powerful. He was also apparently a "lady's man" and had many lovers. It is probable there are other as yet unknown half-siblings of the Keeper, owing to his father's "prowess."

Amanu- She was A'xun's mother. She never seemed to get over her loss of Rav and would end up giving A'xun to one of his aunts to raise in her stead. She gave him up as soon as he was weaned.

● Rick Fairchild - Xun couldn't honestly tell you exactly when he met Rick, but it was fairly early on, during a visit to the Quicksand. It would naturally stand to reason that the pair had a lot in common, and could almost always find something to talk and laugh about. A quick friendship was formed, and from time to time, he still hangs out with Rick, and both of them can usually be seen flirting with the boys, though in Rick's case, the girls to. However, a recent turn of events has caused A'xun to view Rick slightly less favorabley, but by no means is he fully disliked. Just a little more mistrusted.

♥D'aryn Wolfwood - Wolfwood was met during one of Xun's many early Quicksand visits. The first thing Xun noticed was the man's rather odd behavior and mannerisms, such as talking about himself int he third person. Xun was actually intrigued by this, and went out on a limb to befriend the seemingly confused Wolfwood. Through talks and other interactions, Xun soon learned he and Wolfwood had a lot in common, far more than he would have thought. He fought hard to win this man, ad was pleased when he did manage to properly court the elusive male. Wolfwood was prone to wandering, and one day he didn't come back after his usual few days. Xun looked everywhere, but when Wolfwood doesn't want to be found, he doesn't want to be found. This sent the Keeper into a spiraling depression, and yet another suicide watch, until one day, months later, Wolfwood returned. They did not talk right away, in fact, lengths were taken to avoid the man, but finally they met, and talked, and slowly seem to be trying to work things out, much to the Keeper's relief and possible surprise. He had honestly been expecting their talk to end with them parting ways, but with two sided admissions of the love still felt for the other, it would seem there is possibly hope here.

● Liam Connor - Liam was met through interactions with Wolfwood. Though thier initial meeting was brief, he liked the quiet Hyur well enough. Unlike many others, he doesn't seem very put off by the way Liam stares and his general social awkwardness. He likes Liam's protective nature and the fact the Hyur has a decent sense of right and wrong and is loyal to his friends.

♥U'quih Tia - A young Seeker that Xun met during one of his many early trips to the Quicksand. There had been a lot of speculative staring between the two before Quih finally got the courage to approach the Keeper. They spent the rest of that night talking, and quickly became lovers. It was never intended to ever become more than just a pair of lonely individuals seeking comfort, but over time, they began spending time together outside of the bedroom, and a bond eventually formed, Quih moving from friend and lover to mate. Fortunately for the Keeper, the Seeker does not have a jealous bone in his body, and encourages Xun to be himself in all aspects. The pair are now wed.

● Tahni'sae Farreihm - A shy and quiet Keeper that Xun happened across during one of his many visits to the Quicksand. Though the pair were very different, and Sae had heard many things about Xun, he had given the blue Keeper the benefit of the doubt, and an unusual friendship was formed, though at times they could be different as night and day.

💗 Rubh'a Lerheva - An interesting Keeper A'xun had the pleasure of knowing, or rather, observing, during his time as a bartender for the Speakeasy. 'Ruby', as Xun calls him, seemed to be actually quite shy, prone to observing Xun, bit took several days before there was any actual interaction between the pair. Once the ice was broken, a fast friendship was formed. A'xun finds Ruby both charming with a certain allure he can not fully explain.

♥Devin Grey - A young Keeper Xun came across while lounging in the Quicksand. The youth was terrified of his own shadow, it seemed, and was looking for his brother. A few kind words from the elder Keeper, and the two became friends. Xun protects Devin, keeps him safe, and guards him almost fiercely at times. he has been helping the younger learn a little confidence, to try and draw forth the bravery he knows is within. Likewise, Devin's protective streak is most often seen when he feels Xun is threatened. And over time, Xun couldn't fight it any longer. The young Keeper as sweet, caring, devoted, practically worshiping the ground the elder Keeper walks on. So it finally came that Xun presented young Devin with the offer of being his second mate. To which Devin happily agreed.

💗 Lyn'to Amariyo - Lyn'to is a Keeper Xun met while travelling. The two seemed to get along well, a friendship forming quickly, and over time, learning of each other, they became close, finding they had a lot in common with one another, including having Seekers for husbands. When he is not working, or prowling Ul'dah, exploring or getting into trouble, the chances are good he is somewhere with Lyn'to, talking, drinking. Devin has even found a friend in Lyn'to's nephew, and Xun seems to get along well with his fellow keeper's sister. Together the pair swap stories, theories, and compare notes on the various subjects that interest them.

💑 Thala'to Relehna - Thal came as a bit of a surprise to Xun. During a period of extreme boredom, Xun had decided to make a trip to the Quicksand, where he hadn't been in a while, to watch the goings on. He found it to be lacking and had been about to leave when his gaze fell upon Thal as the other Keeper made his way in. Debating for a few moments, he decided to strike up a conversation with the other, and found they had in fact, a lot in common, calling each other 'personality twins.' It stood to reason eventually they began spending time together, along with Quih, and there is definitely something felt towards the slightly paler male, though he hasn't admitted anything out loud yet. However, the closeness was becoming apparent, and he finally asked Thal if he could court him, to which Thal hesitantly agreed. Xun knows Thal is hurting, and is taking his time and being patient.

💗 Kalan'val Baenre - During his time with the Light Crusaders, Xun met this mute, feral Elezan. Fortunately, both knew how to sign and through conversation, they learned they were in fact half-brothers, sharing the same father though different mothers. Neither had been aware of the other's presence before this day, and a strong and seeming unbreakable bond was formed. Though they sometimes suffer prolonged separations, each time lift just picks up for them where it left off. In fact, it is probably safe to assume "brotherly love" has a whole new meaning for this unusual pairing.

💗 Enzeru Onizuka This was, perhaps, the most.. unusual.. location of a sibling A'xun has ever been part of. During a playful Saint Valentione's day date auction, he came across this quiet and shy Keeper. A few words exchanged, and A'xun tried to soothe the frazzled nerves upon learning Enzy, as he calls himself usually, was also available for auction. A'xun felt this inexplicable -need- to bid on Enzy and won. A fast friendship was formed, and then, more than that. Enzy soon began going through changes that could not fully be explained, until one day, Xun was staring at himself it seemed whenever he looked at Enzy. A careful examination, and it was determined they were in fact, twins, separated from birth. Each day brings them closer, and he, like his twin, has vowed that never again will anyone tear them apart again.

● G'leo Nunh - While lazing about the Quicksand, he happened across this Seeker, who at the time seemed very sore and quite the worse for wear, having apparently been in some sort of combat competition. In his usual shameless manner, the Keeper began flirting up a storm, and even convinced Leo to allow him to give him a good back rub, which he did, in the middle of the bar. A bit of a friendship formed then, though he rarely sees Leo these days.

● Iska'ra Epocan - A rather cute young Keeper met during his Quicksand days, Iska'ra struck him as adorable in many ways. He was able to make the youth blush, and often chided him about all work and no play. Their encounters were not often, and generally brief, but it would seem Iksa has been warming up to his dusky kinsman. Or so he thought! A recent conversation left A'xun both confused, and a little angry, when, after so much obvious flirting and mutual attraction, Iska'ra abruptly called an end to it, apparently deciding he wanted no part of the way A'xun lived.

● M'ikal Tia - A quiet and shy little Seeker Xun has only met a few times. He knows Quih seems to like him though, and has given the young male help in times when he needed it most. He is not threatened by their friendship at all, and encourages it. Recently he has become more protective of the young Seeker when he came seeking refuge in the League's house, owing to some relationship problems.

💗 Sebra'li Jinjahl - Yet another surprise find, while coming in to work one evening, Xun happened across this gorgeous pale Keeper at the bar. You can imagine Xun's surprise to be called by the name of his father, whom he looks like just about perfectly. Through talks, he assured Seb that he is not Ra'vahn, but they did, in fact, learn they shared said father. And so yet another lost sibling is found.
