She both loves and fears her father, who she knows went through great pains to see to her education and well-being, but also restricted her from living more freely. While she is loathe to admit it, she depends heavily on her father for enabling her lavish lifestyle and her current freedom. She has little doubt Eamon loves her dearly, but the rift caused by the death of her brother has caused him to be more callous toward her.
