 APPEARANCE The younger of two girls born to a Midlander and Highlander, Admiah - in stark contrast to her sister - has taken more after her mother’s side of the family. What sets her distinct from most Midlanders her age is her height (a full five fulm, seven ilms that tends to have her looking down at other women not Highlander, Elezen or Roegadyn) and a certain solidness in her deceptively skinny figure that’s been honed with a decade of labor. ___________________________________________________________________________ What strikes most folk who first meet Admiah is her hair - an unkempt mess of raven locks that gives the impression that she had just stepped out of a windstorm. Only on the rare occasions when she has the time and inclination is she able to tame it into something more presentable. Underneath that bird’s nest is a round face radiating an innocence of purpose. Tanned skin plays canvas to a smattering of freckles and a pair of light green eyes that pierce through her usual haze of bangs. Much like she is with her hair, the Hyur tends to be bereft of any kind of makeup, only taking the time to apply it when she feels the occasion asks for it. ___________________________________________________________________________ Even after coming into a certain degree of wealth, Admiah nevertheless opts for clothes less aesthetic and more practical. Her fondness for the color red leaves it present in almost all of her outfits, be it more -----------------------------------------ruddy and rust-colored, or bright and vibrant. PERSONALITY
Admiah Kreiston (add-MY-uh CRY-ston) believes that everyone is “basically nice” and will go out of her way to stand by that belief. She treats everyone as respectfully and kindly as she can, often doling out second chances to those who have wronged her or others. While this suggests to most that the woman is a fool, Admiah has a well-developed sense for danger and won’t place her trust blindly when it could lead to harm. Admiah considers herself a pacifist, completely averse to nearly all forms of violence, be they life-or-death battles or “friendly” bouts where there’s a likelihood of bloodshed. Despite this, she has taken to learning methods of defending herself, mentored by her fiancée as well as others in the company. Due to that loathing, however, she's been slow to learn and has yet to take a life apart from the occasional, rabid beastkin. ____________________________________________________________________________ Though the younger sibling, Admiah has adopted her mother’s stern attitude, sometimes seen scolding her sister or those that she’s especially close to when they do something she deems reckless to themselves or others. Always looking out for friends, family and even complete strangers, she helps any and all out of a scrape if there’s something she can do about it. Having been forced out of a life of relative comfort following the Calamity, Admiah has become a keen and steady worker. Not a sun passes when the Hyur isn’t keeping herself busy slowly whittling her way through her latest administrative challenges or doing whatever tasks need doing to keep the company's estate tidy. ____________________________________________________________________________ A direct victim of the events of the Calamity, Admiah has an intense phobia of magical fire. Even the slightest spark is like to sent her into a panic, while a full inferno will leave the Hyur curled into a ball, assaulted with memories forever branded in the depths of her mind. For a time all forms of magic had given Admiah a flutter of fear, but in recent suns she’s slowly overcome her prejudices and even now practices some minor spellcasting of her own. ____________________________________________________________________________ One of Admiah’s greatest passions is chocobos. Ever since she was gifted Binky(a Chocobo hatchling that quickly became her best friend as the two grew up together), she's been happiest in the company of those big, smelly horsebirds. Admiah takes every opportunity she has to spend her time with them, often retreating to the company stables for the comfort it brings. While Admiah always loves to talk about them, others should take care not to turn the conversation towards the chocobo racing made popular by the Gold Saucer. the Hyur is sure of the kind of horrific conditions at least some racing chocobos are forced to live through and will stand on her own soap box about it if given the chance.
