Occupation Adventurer. GENERAL INFORMATION Ahloura Tudornnsyn was always an adventurer at heart. Since as far back as he can remember he always set foot in the wilderness to explore and test his skills. After his first encounter with a wood cutter's axe, his grandfather, Lougsaem, taught him axemanship. Ever since then he has continued to hone his skills. Because of his time spent in the wilderness he has also become skilled performing first-aid on himself, how to handle and cook animals, and other survival skills. On his first meeting with the 81st he was searching for someone to repair some of his armor. He ended up joining, happily. Through the trails he's faced with his new allies his skill has grown even more. APPEARANCE Ahloura keep protection in mind with whatever he wears. He knows all too well how important it is to keep protected. Even though he's not picky, he prefers to wear leather mixed with metal in more vital to keep as much mobility and flexibility as he can. He is usually seen with an axe strapped to his back or propped on either shoulder. PERSONALITY Lively. Loyal. Discplined. Ahloura enjoys company of friends and allies. He usually has a child-like enthusiasm with them. He has no problem adopting a more serious demeanor, when the situation calls for it. He's not scared of a fight, but with that said he want to cause serious injury if not needed. He will always follow the orders of his officers and leaders. When it comes to battle, he's fully confident in his abilities with an axe. He is willing to adapt and learn to help out the people around him within the 81st. COMBAT & WEAPONRY Ahloura is very skilled in melee when wielding an axe. He pretty much always uses an axe. He has given spears a try and liked them too. Even though he never has been seen having a bow he's decently skilled with one. How else would he stay in the wilderness so long? This list is by no means all inclusive, and serves more as a general reference as to what HE/SHE has been up to. Fyril - Once had to fight against Fyril at one of Onuma's training sessions. He won, probably with some luck. Lord of the Crag - Was with the 81st when they fell in on the primal. Bismarck - Was with the 81st when had to go against the whale. BACKSTORY Ahloura grew up having one close friend by the name, Klyngrael. When Ahloura went exploring she was by his side. He always felt the need to protect her even though she didn’t need it most of the time. Neither one relied heavily on the other. They just enjoyed each others company and how they treated each other as equals. In their teens, while exploring, Ahloura found a shabby axe. It looked like it had been used for cutting wood. In his curiosity he picked it up and showed Klyngrael. She was also curious and encouraged him to try it on a small tree that was nearby. It didn’t take long for him to be exhausted. That surprised him because he knew he was in shape. Whenever he would explore he would workout at different points. He hid the axe in a spot only the two of them knew. They both would carefully practice with it until they were able to cut down that small tree. One day Ahloura noticed another kid see them. The kid started running back to town. He quickly realized what that could mean and handed the axe to Klyngrael. He took off trying to catch the kid after telling her to hide it. Unfortunately the kid made it to his Ahloura’s parents before he could catch up. He knew he was already in trouble. His parents demanded to take the axe away or he wouldn’t be able to explore anymore. He reluctantly took them to the axe. He tried to reason with his parents but before he could even finish it was snatched away. Once at home he got lectured on how unsafe it was and that he shouldn’t mess with learning how to wield an axe because there are better and safer options. He knew they wanted better for him to be an adventurer. But, Ahloura just felt something in his heart leading him in that direction. Soon after, while he was out exploring he saw a familiar face. It was his grandfather. “I heard what happened.” He said while motioning over both Ahloura and Klyngrael. “Here.” He handed them each an axe. The quality of these were vastly superior to the old axe. “You want to learn right? You have that desire to adventure right?” Both of them responded with restrained excitement, “Are you… sure?” He grinned, “I know no one can dull that desire. So, I want to equip you with the tools to survive since I used to adventure.” He paused for a moment, “Listen, Ahloura, your parents mean well. I used to be gone from your fathers life because adventurin’ isn’t always the most luxurious. I wasn’t even able to make it to their marriage. Which is something I’ll always regret.” He sighed, “I’ll need to keep this secret, but I know you both are being called to that life. One day you’ll respond and until then I’ll teach you what I know.” Ahloura and Klyngrael nodded with respect, “Thank you.” Then they continued to train. Then at age 20, Dalamud started to slowly descend. Worry and panic began to set in for the villagers. Ahloura and Klyngrael continued their training. And the time that was spent not in training was spent together. Their respect for each other grew and they confessed their love for each other. Unfortunately, Dalamud continued getting closer and everyone including them were getting more worried. Klyngrael was usually a headstrong and positive woman. But this clearly had a bigger impact on her than on Ahloura. They ended up talking for an entire night. A couple of times she broke into tears. Ahloura tried to comfort her, but wasn’t too successful. Up until now it had mainly been happy times. A few arguments here and there that ended quickly. But, this was something new to him. On the third time he could not longer try to comfort her. They both broke into tears and eventually fell asleep. Morning came some of those feelings lingered. Meekly, Ahloura said to Klyngrael, “Let’s not abandon hope, at least. I mean, we have each oth-.” He was interrupted by her finger pressed against his lips, “I know, we can get through this together, with hope.” They talked more which ended up making the bond they share, even stronger. Then, Balamud cracked apart and Bahamut began what was afterwards known as the calamity. At the time Ahloura and Klyngrael were separated when the town was lit ablaze from Bahamut. The first thought he had was to save Klyngrael. But that was stopped short with his grandfather taking him and his parents to a hopefully safer area. Ahloura protested angrily. He screamed about how he needed to save her. He spouted off a few things in the heat of the moment that he knew he might regret. A slap from his mother in tears confirmed that. “This affects more than you. Only thing you should be thinking about is survival.” “I’m sorry.” Ahloura muttered, with sadness. He remained quiet. At one point he turned around to see the entire village in a blaze with smoke rolling off. After the Calamity, Everyone talked. Ahloura and his grandfather told them about the training. In the end though his father forgive him for missing the marriage. And they finally accepted Ahloura’s desire to become an adventurer. Soon after he left to travel his own path. He vowed to become a protector. He also mourned for Klyngrael. With how the village was set ablaze there was no way she came out alive. He wasn’t going to deceive himself. Five years later, he stepped foot in Limsa Lominsa.
