Ahyin'sae Hashnyvahr is the youngest son of the Hashnyvahrs, a semi-nomadic Keeper Of The Moon family from the Twelveswood. Always curious, with a knack for exploring and a yearning for freedom, he was still at the wide-eyed and fresh-faced age of fifteen when he decided to leave and discover what wonders Eorzea could provide to an adventurer's journey. Now with around ten years of lone wandering about and surviving without much coin on his pocket, he's become a sort of jack of all trades with a mild knowledge of various crafts and a fondness for arts. During his venturing his interest for the art of the lance deepened so he's been honing his skills to the best of his ability as he moved along the road, always remembering Buscarron's teachings. He has seen his fair share of people, places and battles and though his life has been filled with twists and turns, at the end of day he wouldn't have it any other way.

Eorzea has proven to be a vast realm, in all senses, so no matter what the future brings there's surely a long path ahead for this Miqo'te to pave still.

Character

General

Ahyin'sae was born in 1554, the youngest of nine children. He lived a relatively normal and carefree childhood in the woods of the Black Shroud, and was particularly close to his brother Ahyin'to and his sister Liah, later one to whom he was to be mated. Under the strict but loving hand of mother Ahyin, he learned to hunt with bow, skin, track and make a living surrounded by nature. But very soon he showed interest in other ways of doing and living, he'd sneak to play with other children in Gridania and would spend a lot of time at Buscarron's Druthers where he picked up lancer techniques. At the age of fifteen, not long after his coming of age trials, longing for an adventuring life and having had come to bad terms with his sister Liah he decided to leave the clan for good and never look back. The first months on the road where not easy, and he found himself hungry and without shelter often, but soon he grew accustomed to it and became sharper on the ways of the world. His first destination was Ul'dah and here he made quite a bit of gil and also acquired his chocobo, Kwehlora, after a most odd dispute with an old Lalafell. He kept exploring the lands but before he could make it to Limsa Lominsa, came the Calamity, which almost killed him, as he saw himself surrounded by flames and falling debris, heavily injured. Then came the blinding light, and he found himself awake and well in a changed Eorzea. The Calamity made him return to the South Shroud and stay there with Buscarron and then his family for some weeks. After this he made way to Limsa Lominsa were he recovered and worked until he felt ready to resume his wandering that led him to Coerthas. There he remained for almost two years, working for the Fortemps house and the Corbeau family. After this time and some traumatic events which almost cost him his life again, he ran back to Limsa Lominsa and after some time of rest he took back on his Wanderer mantle once more. Over time he's been focusing more and more on enhancing his combat ability, after the many incidents he's encountered in his life, and adventuring for the sole sake of discovery has fallen to second in his priority list. After meeting with the Lyehga family and forming close bonds with some of its members, his life would yet take another twist, after a series of events that led him to not only join the organisation they belong to, Angelum Lucis, but also bring his wandering days to a halt and become mated with the fiery Ziuz. His life focus changed definitely but he still plans to one day explore what corners he hasn't seen of Eorzea yet, and then beyond, possibly not alone.

Appearance

(A younger Ahyin. Meh Art.)
Ahyin has all of the traditional Hashnyvahr characteristics: dalamud-red eyes, straight raven-black hair and bluish skin, he's paler than his siblings.
As a youth and after his coming of age trials, he wore blue feline face paint and long braided hair adorned with hand crafted beads and blue highlights as any full fledged member of the clan. He kept this look until shortly after the Calamity. He decided to stop wearing his face paint and cut his hair not only for practical purposes but to rid it of the highlights. He realized it was meaningless to keep his family's traditional marks since he had cut ties with most of them. Ahyin still wears some black face paint around the eyes at times and considers it to be his own mark. His tail is long, with fuzzy black fur.
Being always the curious and active type, never really staying put for too long, from childhood to the present, he's quite moderately built and fit, specially his arms due to spear wielding. He's a tall Miqo'te, like most of his relatives, at 5 fulms 8 ilms, and weighs about 160 ponz. Two years after the Calamity he became part of a Coerthan rogue group in which he underwent rigorous physical training, but this group ceased to be and he went back to wandering and adventuring. As of late, after joining Angelum Lucis, he's back to it and he has put some weight and strength. He's become tanky and very sturdy though he still retains some of the agility and lean build that characterize his family.
His clothing is usually leather-worked and he has a few sets of armor he has earned throughout the years, used for hunting, fighting and training. Prefers dark colors.
His hair is slowly turning white as off late, due to cause he yet ignores.

Personality

This young Miqo’te is driven by the desire to discover and live as an adventurer, to learn and understand the world, find true freedom and enjoy all the good things he finds. He’s naturally curious and playful, also quite friendly and he tends to maintain a confident and optimistic attitude. He’s an intrepid and spontaneous young man, and may come off as a bit fickle and immature, but he has a good heart and can be very dependable and trustworthy if he cares about someone. He considers everyone he meets a friend until proved wrong, he may start a bit on the quiet side but he warms up to almost anyone very quickly, due to his natural curiosity but above all open-mindedness and ability to empathize. He can be a bit naïve and easily led on because of this, and if comfortable he’s somewhat candid and frank, especially after a few glassfuls of alcohol. However, he’s not a complete open book, and some things he will most likely never share. Over time he's increasingly becoming more calm, focused and collected, specially after some heavy losses and traumatic events, and is becoming very protective of those he most cares about. Still, he retains the ability to bounce back from tragedy and remain easy going, even if only on the outside.
Cultural heritage or backgrounds don’t hold much importance to him, besides curiosity and learning purposes. He mostly pushes forward according to his own set of rules, and will probably retort with an unpleasant comeback if someone tries to enforce some limiting norms or ideas or looks down on him. However, he’s not easily angered and will most likely brush off unpleasant situations, sometimes with humor.
Ahyin is not the most spiritual person, and unlike his clan he doesn't worship Menphina. On the other hand, he can be found offering the occasional prayer to Nymeia, so the winds of fate may bring him good fortune.
He shows more interest in the opposite gender, but he’d be more correctly described as a being with pan-sexual tendencies. He can be very flirty and enjoys teasing the most, but even though he has had his occasional flames, he is actually a cover-up romantic and once he chooses someone he's most likely to dedicate himself fully to that person only.
He’s a good listener and likes to discuss a bit of everything from adventuring to art, crafting, combat training strategies, current events, humor ... he is also very curious of history and stories from far off lands. He’s also likely to be found attending some cultural event and sometimes even on a library corner, to make up for the education he didn't receive as a child, which is something that bothers him to a good measure.

Combat

General

(Ahyin in coming-of-age ritual outfit. Meh Art.)

Ahyin always preferred melee type of combat. During his childhood and time he spent with his family he was motivated by his mother to pursue the bow, and he would enjoy his lessons with his older brother Ahyin'to, but he'd very quickly drop the bow to strike at the target with a dagger or pointy stick, which caused many conflicts with his relatives due to spoiled hunts and lost targets he'd scare away with his sloppy head-on charges. He eventually met Buscarron while wandering around the Druthers, and with him he got his first spear and learned the basics of the lancer. After this he never dropped the lance again.

On his teenage years he was still not very built, specially he after he fled home and had trouble finding food, so during this time he relied on speed and crafty tricks to overpower his opponents. Over time, as he grew older, he became increasingly sturdier and taller, having reached a very built and tanky figure when compared to even his brother Ahyin'to. He still relies on agility, fast attacks and varied feints, but his combat is now more focused in strong well aimed strikes, patiently waiting for the moment when he can apply an all out slash or pierce through his target.

Chosen Partner

  • Ziuz Lyehga (Alivia nan Nerva) : Ahyin met Ziuz in Gridania, over one of his usal "food sharing with the people of the world" moments. After she refused his rabbit pie and seemingly rude manners, he didn't get a good impression of her. Little did he imagine that she was actually the twin sister of his best friend Koh'a. Many moons passed until he met her again, but the relationship didn't see much improvement, at first at least, specially because she was assigned as his combat trainer. She irritated him to no end but at the same time she wasn't someone he could just brush aside and forget. When he decided he wouldn't create more conflict or react to her provocations, she showed up at his place on Valentione's day with gifts and an attitude he wasn't ready for and before he even realized he was already entangled in the fiery woman's embrace. Over time desire led to discovery and intimacy, and realising that perhaps they weren't so different as to be incompatible, and so love flourished. Nowadays they are mated and living together as a couple.

Parents

  • Ahyin Hashnyvahr aka Ma Ahyin (born 1509): Ahyin'sae's mother. A proud matriarch with an iron fist, she birthed and raised nine children, four of which were boys, which was a seen as an enormous blessing and made her known among the families of their clan as "the mother touched by Menphina herself". Strict and rigorous with her children's aptitude training to survive in the Twelveswood, a devout reverence to the clan's ancient traditions and a presence able to impose respect amidst even the most dangerous of the poachers, she had everything to bring the proud Hashnyvahr name to a new prosperous era. Or so she thought. But somehow she slowly watched her family tear apart, as her children turned their back on each other through conflict, fled the familiar group or died. She was closest to Liah and Ahyin'sae, her younger children and the ones she had chosen to be the mother and father of the main family's new generation. Also, Ahyin'sae was the child whose father was the man she truly loved. When Ayin'sae ran away she prayed with all her fervour for Menphina to bring him back, and she believed he would. When Ahyin'sae finally gathered the courage to come back and state his intention to renounce the place as father she had picked for him, she took such an enourmous hit to her pride that she banished him from the family, stripping him of the name Hashnyvahr and everything that came with it. She still blames his father's blood, since he too was a free spirit who'd never come back to her. Mother and son haven't met again after this event.
  • Dahr'a Akhabila (born 1510): Ahyin'sae's official father. Picke'd by Ahyin's mother, Senah Hashnyvahr, to be mated to the matriarch-to-be, he fathered 8 of her 9 children. He never got along well with his mate but he was a kind father to his children, even if somehow distant since he spent most of his time out hunting, mostly due to his differences with Ahyin and her sister's. He was one of the few to know he wasn't Ahyin'sae's true father, but he never treated him differently since he believed the child deserved no punishment for it. They were just as close as any father and child would be, and his views on tolerance and respect influenced Ahyin'sae on the path he would take years later.
  • Laih'to Orhebapuuk (born 1507): Actual Ahyin'sae's biological father, recently discovered by Ahyin'to and the Dakwhil part of the family. His age and fragile heart have now rendered him bedridden, and so when Ma Whyin

Common Rumors

  • "He used too look like an airhead, as much of a dimwit as one can get, would bother the folk at the lancers guild to no end. No matter how much we kicked him out, he'd always come back, that pest. He sort of disappeared some years, but lately I've seen him taking some serious jobs and leves for the 'venturers guild, he also walks around with this Miqo'te lass and they look like they mean business. He was under the tutelage of Buscarron during his youngun days besides, I wouldn't cross him now." - Gridanian Wood Wailer.
  • "Oh, he's a sweetheart, very traveled and knowing for his age... good looking too. He helps me with all kinds of chores for just a few of my homemade pies. History/Timeline

Age 1-5

  • Ahyin came as a surprise to the family, his mother already approaching middle age and above all because three boys had been already born to her after 2 generations without a male being born to the Hashnyvahrs. So his birth was celebrated a week long and many offerings were made to Menphina as a way of thanks and to ask that these blessings would last, that the Hashnyvahrs could ever be blessed with the same fortune in the future. With his birth his brother Ahyin'li was sent to the Akhabila and Ahyin'sae made to stay within the clan. This decision was not taken with happiness by some of the elder sisters, who saw themselves being replaced as next Ma lead by Liah, the youngest female, 3 years older than Ahyin'sae. He was born healthy and very soon he learned to walk and speak, ever wide eyed and curious about his surroundings, never giving a rest to his caretakers, for he would run into the woods and disappear for some time as soon as he could walk. Very soon too it became clear he and his sister Liah would become very close, the two children would do almost everything together and got along perfectly. Between the ages 4 and 5 he began being taught the bow basics by his brother Ahyin'li, who was to be his mentor until the day he'd leave tribe to join the Akhabila. However, he always had a closer relationship with Ahyin'to, even though he was much older and already promised to the Nulekhan family, still he became Ahyin'sae's mentor instead of Ahyin'li, shortly after his bow teaching began.

Age 5-10

  • Ahyin'sae kept being taught in the art of bow, and proved to be a good hunter. But it was often that he would charge head on with a knife even if told otherwise, because of this he'd always be bruised and beaten. He cracked a few ribs when he was seven on an antelope hunt in the south shroud, which ended up in a lost hunt since his siblings let it escape to tend to him, which earned them an earful from Ma AHyin. At this time he also met Buscarron, and against his mother wishes to keep the family closely knit together and with the least amount of interaction with the Gridanians possible, Ahyin became very curious of the other people and the life they led. At this time he saw a spear for the first time and started sneaking to train with Buscarron whenever he could. He also sneaked into Gridania to play with other children and spy on the lancer's guild, though the wailers kept shooing him away. He grew increasingly closer to Liah, but as he began sneaking away she began following him and developing deep jealousy towards all that stole his attention from her. She'd go after the children he'd play with and hurt them.

He was also taught the basics of leather working, fishing, small carvings and botany. Ohka Dakwhil, a cousin who came to spend some time with them, became Ahyin'sae's bow teacher and caretaker, because Ahyin'to was sent off to mate with Pohka Nulekhan. Ohka was fond of the sword though, and she taught Ahyin'sae some of its basics while taking care of him. They got close fast, which threw Liah into yet another spiral of jealousy, so, even though she was younger than her cousin Ohka by 5 years, she began attacking her and bullying her until one day she bit off a piece off of her right ear. Ohka left the tribe shortly after, but Ahyin'sae never knew the real reason, and was desolated.

Age 10-15

  • His training as a hunter progressed, but whenever he had the chance he'd go out with a spear instead of the bow, which irked Ma Ahyin and his aunts to no end. During this period some intense fights broke out in the region between poachers, Wailers and a band of Ixal, but the Hashnyvahrs were a sturdy lot if anything so no losses were taken.

He got even closer to Liah, walking the forests with her almost everyday and making plans about how they would make the clan strong and build a happy family together. His sneaking about kept going and Liah kept doing what she did, bullying everyone that came close to him in any way she could, behind his back. Soon Ahyin'sae came to find out and confronted her, only to be violently attacked which completely dumbfounded him. As he approached the age of fifteen, this situation of violence got worse, destroying the bond they had shared. Ahyin became deeply disillusioned with his family's way of life too, his curiosity for the world out there pushing him to the dramatic decision of leaving. When he turned 15 and performed his coming of age hunt and trials, got his face paint, braids and his adult bow, Ma Ahyin, who had been oblivious to the drama unfolding between her two youngest, announced they would be mated soon. He fled a week later when he heard Ma Ahyin discussing the last details for his bond rituals with Liah during the early hours of the night. In the morning he took a bag with only the necessary and fled south, towards Thanalan, promising to never return.

Age 15-18

  • After taking a run for his life he headed towards Eastern Thanalan .

Chased by by beaks and eating beetles. He stopped to take shelter at Thal's respite with a lalafell named sister Kyokyozo, from the Order. Marveled at the wonderful monument and view of the new region he decided he'd adventure and see all the wonders of the world. He set off, determined to wander for a living. The first trip almost killed him as he kept going even in the sun in desperate need to find the next place to stay, and he almost run into a group of Amalj'aa. He had never seen the beast tribe before but he had heard of them. He sneaked past them to the best of his ability and managed to reach Highbridge unscathed. He saw Phurbles, strange fur creatures with creepy eyes. "creepy as phurble" became then one of his trademark sayings. He did some errands for merchants around the place and got some food and water out of it, soon after though he decided to resume his journey, so he took the royal allagan sunway to the west. He kept going, sustaining mostly out of small crawling beasts he'd find until he reached Drybone. There he spent some bad times until he got to work for a leather and fabrics trader, by going out and supplying the lalafell with local fauna skins. Though he got paid a cheap amount, it was still enough to eat and survive like this for a while, and even save up a bit of gil to set upon the road again. He was poached and beaten a couple of times during this period but this only made him grow more wary and attentive to his surroundings. He also began taking some errands for other things besides gil, because most of the folks were poor. The next year he headed towards Central Thanalan and he worked at the Nanawa mines for a while while starting to get more errands from folk who got used to seeing him around the Coffer, he'd also hunt for meat for the establishment. During this time he grew tired of shrew and miteling meat. Reaching the age of seventeen he decided he'd try his luck and work a while in Ul'dah. He brought some pelts to sell that ended up confiscated by the Brass Blades and got him a beating. Being ever stubborn. he ended up being able to smugle in and sell some goods in the city in the following moths, as some kind of revenge, but he had to make a run for it on several occasions.

  • Kwehlora: One night he was near some chocobo stables. An old lalafell was screaming and shouting at his servants because one of the chocobos was untamed and out of control, to the point it was no longer useful. He hit the chocobo with a whip and ordered it to be put down the next day. Ahyin was quite shocked at this, since chocobos were so valuable and sensitive creatures. When night fell darker, he approached the chocobo, the poor animal had some cuts and after a bit of bickering around Ahyin managed to get close enough to put some herbs on the wounds. He thought he'd play a trick on the old lalafell so he cut the binds of the chocobo to set it free. But just as he was doing this he got spotted and had to run away as fast as he could, since old lalafell sent many guards after him. As he began tiring and fearing he'd be gutted that day, the chocobo he had released appeared running besides him, its intelligent eyes staring at him. Ahyin wasn't sure but didn't think twice and jumped on the chocobo's back, finally being able to escape his pursuers. He rode almost all night, not sure if he should dismount or just let the chocobo take him wherever. Near dawn, the chocobo stopped near a stream of water. He dismount and put some distance between himself and the animal, since he he wasn't sure if it would attack, only to find out the chocobo now refused to stop following him around. He decided to keep the chocobo, naming it Kweh, then Kwehlora later when a chocobo stabler told him she was female. After this episode he decided it was best for him to put some distance between himself and U'ldah, and leave Thanalan when possible, so he headed to Horizon, with Limsa Lominsa in mind as the next destination.
  • The Calamity He spent some time in Horizon but things were not right. The moon had been weird for a while, and it seemed it was coming to a head... as well as news of the battles of the invading Garlean Empire. He had been lucky so far, and successfully avoided confrontation with the "metallic monsters". But the situation was no longer something he could keep on the back of his head. The moon was coming down on them.

That day Ahyin had been running some errands for an elderly hyuran couple. They were moving to Limsa Lominsa soon, much like him, but they needed help hauling the heavy crates with all of their belongings. They were well off so there's was some work ahead that night. It could be just any other day, but people knew a raging battle was being fought at Cartenau by the Eorzean Alliance and many brave adventurer's. The moon looming on above Ahyin's head didn't let him forget that maybe he should be helping them too. Then it cracked. The monstrosity it spawned was farther than what it seemed, but the winged nightmare was well visible to all. Ahyin stared at the skies, with a mix of terror and awe on his face, unable to move, react, or bat a lash even. And the monstrosity set off.

Fire began pouring down from the skies. He thought he had to run, but where to? Fire was raining everywhere, scorching the land and everything that stood on it.

People around him began running in all directions, in panic. Kwehlora was panicking too and pecking at his clothes. In shock, he remained still for some time, as numerous traces of light filled the skies, until one of the buildings behind him got hit and he lost his footing. This shook him off and he started running too, intent on taking some cover from the blazing rain at the Sunset Gate. Before he was able to reach it, some of the falling debris hit part of his lower left leg, which broke and got some burns. Kweh was now in total hysteria. People around were still running or laying on the ground in agony, unable to breathe, heavily injured and dead. He thought he saw the elderly couple getting hit by a beam of fire as he tried to crawl his way to safety, but what safety? There's was nowhere safe. Kweh pecked at him as something he didn't see fell with huge impact just behind them, he got lifted into the air and thrown against some stone, his ears deafened with the bang, he only heard ringing while agonizingly gasping to breath again. Then a blinding white light came, he thought of his family and how he had wanted to say goodbye before his mind faded.

Age 18-20

  • He woke up in the care of some kind souls who'd taken care of so many like himself, had sustained some injuries but survived unscathed for the most part. Kweh also lived and as soon as he could mount again he went back to the Shroud to recover. He stayed at Buscarron's and learned the Hashnyvahrs were in the East Shroud. He went back and reunited with his family for some time. They hadn't sustained heavy injury but two of his siblings, Ahyin'a and Ohka, had perished, and Ahyin'li was missing. Ma Ahyin welcomed him with open arms and even Liah, and Ahyin'to was well, his young children and wife had survived. Ahyin was filled with mixed feelings of loss and relief, he felt like it was time to stay and be a family again. This peace wouldn't last though, not many weeks passed util Liah went back to her violent self, if not worse than before. Ahyin was not the smaller little brother anymore, but he couldn't stand to raise a hand against Liah, despite all. No one else knew of this side of hers, so when Ma Ahyin decided they'd celebrate their bond since Ahyin'sae was back, he picked up his things and left on Kweh's back just like he had done before, with a broken heart and other wounds, saying goodbye only to Ahyin'to and Buscarron.

This time he headed towards Limsa Lominsa, and here he sustained himself on errands and random jobs, mostly rebuilding efforts of the damage done by the Calamity. He felt he should be doing this back in the Shroud, but he just couldn't go back and he was still helping people and helping himself. He spent nearly two years here, and acquired Lominsan citizenship. Over time he'd recover his old cheery demeanour, and by the time he turned twenty he was back to his merry wandering of the land, spear and map in hand.

Age 20-23 He came up to Coerthas, the rumours about Ishgard and the Holy War against dragons piqued at his interest, there surely would be some amazing stories to hear and people to meet. This land, however, was very unwelcoming of foreigners, yet among the noble houses, Fortemps had open arms when it came to employ adventurers' hands in work they needed done, so Ahyin came to work under them during the time he remained in Coerthas, which would be almost another two years. He met a young Elezen named Estelle, a charming "Thorny Rose" that bewitched him with sultry and velvety sweet nothings. She was the youngest daughter of Lord Corbeau, a noble elezen curator that kept a library of antique texts in Ishgard but would visit Dragonhead often enough to have a second residence, a manor hiding amid the Coerthan snowy peaks. Ahyin would come to work under them and find out the library they kept was but the facade they used to keep appearances and the Coerthan Manor was actually the entrance to an underground hidehout. Lord Corbeau was the leader of a rogue mercenary organisation called the Unseen. Ahyin joined their midst led by Estelle's hand. Here he'd receive rigorous training in several forms of combat, weapons, stealth, spying and assassination. This was not the path or life he'd imagined he'd end upon, but his youth and burning passion for Estelle made him stay nonetheless. He also got close to her little daughter, Orianne, who used to bake cookies for the people coming to visit her grandfther, completely oblivious to what actually happenend in that house. He performed some minor missions and killed his first man during this time, an aura of gloom replaced the cheer and curiosity in his face most of the days. And he got a new name: Yin Moonclaw. Then came the

  • Reckoning Ahyin had gone for a walk through the snow with Estelle, one of those days still filled with cheer and laughter. As they returned to the manor, something was terribly wrong, dead bodies permeated the entrance, and figures shrouded in dark clothes similar to their own fought, about a dozen of them. They both approached, distressed, trying to understand what was happening but soon realized most of the figures still standing wore slightly different clothes from their own, and most of the ones laying dead on the ground were their comrades. Estelle charged in calling out to her father and her daughter Orianne. Shiona, one of their drill masters and Lord Corbeau's right hand, came to stop them from approaching any further, and ordered them to flee since the manor was lost. Estelle refused to leave her daughter behind as Ahyin and Shiona both dragged her away. But then they saw, Orianne, the little girl was running from the place by the hand of some of The Unseen that still remained. Estelle ran back to her daughter, Ahyin let out a sigh of relief but Shiona ushered them to hurry.

Estelle had just taken the hand of her daughter when an arrow crossed the child's heart and about half a dozen of the mysterious assaulters charged them. Ahyin dragged both mother and dying child down the mountain, while Shiona and the last few Unseen covered their back. Orianne then drew her last breath and Estelle just stopped moving, Ahyin took Orianne from her arms and took Estelle's hand, in hopes to still arrive at Dragonhead and get help in time for a miracle. But then Estelle let go of his hand, he looked back and called to her, but she charged back with an horrifying cry of despair, daggers in hand "MY DAUGHTER!", running past Shiona and the last two Unseen. She cut the throats of two of the pursuer's but in the blink of an eye, Estelle's head had been severed, and rolled down the hill with snow and blood. It was Ahyin's turn to freeze in place, still holding onto his lover's child. Shiona tackled him, and with one violent shake forced him to run with the two remaining comrades, that still hurled daggers, spells and trinkets at their attackers that finally found their mark. Finally free of pursuers, they escaped into the blizzard that had just began forming. Further down the mountain, Shiona tried to bring back Orianne, but it was too late even for healing magicks, the poison on the arrow was something she didn't have the means to counter there. She entrusted Ahyin and the other too with the task of burying the child properly. She also ordered them to leave Coerthas and wait for orders, Ahyin and the other two protested but carried out the orders, likely the last orders they were receiving as members of the Unseen. Ahyin fled to the North Shroud, on Kweh's back, where he lingered a while, staying with his brother Ahyin'to. He wasn't able to tell him what had happened, and what he had been doing in the last years, just that he had done something terrible. Before the rest of the Hashnyvahrs came to find him again he returned to Limsa where he would stay, drowned in depression and auto-flagelation for some long moons.

Age 23-25

  • Just when he thought he wouldn't ever recover from what happened in Coerthas, time, ale and errands had not healed or made Ahyin forget, but he still bounced back to his optimistic self nonetheless and after some heartfelt prayer to Nymeia and Oschon, he took back on his Wanderer mantle and went back to the road, followed by the ever loyal Kweh. This time around he truly kept traveling, never staying put more than a couple weeks in one same place. Throughout just a little more than a year he visited almost every accessible corner of Eorzea he hadn't seen yet, met more people that he had ever, but he didn't linger, going back to Limsa in between to rest and restock. During this time he also avoided all kinds of conflict, and jobs involving battling, and only near his 24th birthday was he able to hunt again. Just a couple of moons after turning 24, he met Koh'a Lyehga, a half breed Miqo'te who'd mark yet the beginning of yet another period of change in his life.
