Introduction to Arky

Arky Mosuke is a character on Balmung server, has been around since 1.0 and has backstory dating back as such. Arky is mostly seen frequenting Ul'dah, around the Quicksand. Quite the social creature, Arky does his best to make new connections, but sometimes comes off a little odd due to his life growing up.

• History : Arky came to Ul'dah at a very young age with two others named Keroa and Nanokie, who at one time were both thought to be his siblings. Arky grew to adulthood in Ul'dah while feigning femininity, dressing as a female due to his softer figure, Arky made his life as a female, in turn developing misunderstood attractions to men as well.
• Fall of Dalamud : It became known after the Fall of Dalamud that Nanokie was his only sister, and perished after the incident due to aether poisoning. It has been circulated that Arky ended Nanokie's life with his own sword, prompting him to give up his armor and seek atonement in helping others. Arky is no longer a Free Paladin.
• A Realm Reborn : Years after the Fall, Arky is once again spotted in Ul'dah, having turned out to be quite the looker compared to his older and more feminine self as his markings had matured. A few years away from Ul'dah and living on the land, Arky has come into a rite of his own, quite the talented fisherman, he makes his living selling fish to merchants and cooks in Ul'dah. While having pledged his hand to the Flames, it was originally unknown if he served, however recent events reveal he's actually a Second Flame Lieutenant and is currently active in Ul'dah.
• A Brush With Nald Thal : After a few moons serving in Ul'dah and spending his time getting to know others, Arky had made plenty of friends and enemies once again, one of the more notable one being Lambert Arkwright. This man has been an enigma to most around him, and has had some underlying interest in Arky. This interest turned out fatal for Arky one eve in Ul'dah, as Lambert lead Arky outside of the city to reveal some things about himself. The encounter lasted a brief hour before others had arrived, finding Arky writhing on the ground in pain due to buildup of corrupt aether, after which Lambert then administered an aetherbound liquid to Arky who couldn't refuse in his condition. A brief moment of silence, then anger was wrought as Arky reached up as if to strangle Lambert, only to fall silent as he died. Moments passed of confusion as more arrived, questioning Lambert and others as Arky remained in the void, only to be saved by Altima and U'tano's combined efforts. Altima selflessly draining some of the corrupt aether from Arky's lifeless body, as U'tano administered rather archaic resuscitation that resulted in a few broken ribs. Arky awoke in a startled and angry state as he was pulled back from the void, only to lash out at the one who'd put him there, only to fall after a moment of restraint... though he did get his shots in.

Appearance

Arky is a Seeker of The Sun, though male in appearance, one would know he was underdeveloped. His hardships and malnutrition growing up, combined with his lifestyle having lead up to his looks, Arky makes the best of it.

Body :

• Arky is very lithe in appearance, though does have some recently developed muscle tone, due to his new profession.
• When seen with his shirt off, Arky has a mysterious marking below his neck, settled between his shoulder blades.

Face :

• Arky has rather smooth skin, tanned from days in the sun, his native markings having matured more recently.
• Arky has two polar opposite eyes, contrasting colors of blue and orange which reflect light very well.

Hair, Ears, and Tail:

• Long black hair, faint blue highlights which almost match his right eye, almost shoulder length.
• Black furred ears that are pierced and are very pronounced, acute to sound, Arky expresses himself with them, often without knowing.
• A very long black tail, quite fluffy in appearance, it would almost look more at home on a wolf.

Clothing and Accessories :

• Normally seen in basic trousers and a short or sleeveless top, Arky will occasionally change things up, though it is very rare to see him in something more formal. Arky is a known fan of blacks and blue's, though occasionally will wear other colors.

Behavior

• Most known for being very social, Arky gets into quite a few social scruffs from time to time, usually involving the mate of one or another and escapades of a sort. He's known to be flirtatious, and somewhat silver tongued, though is always ready to leap for someone in need, even if it's not into bed. Arky has most recently been teaching a younger Miqo'te, the topic of teaching has been rumored to range from basic courtesy, to more lewd acts, though Arky always denies the latter.

• Another notable thing about Arky is his aversion to aether and magic in general, though he's been seen using aetheric and succor like abilities recently, he still seems to maintain a heavy aversion of them. The reason for this is somewhat of a rumor, though word has spread that he is ill, possibly with the same ailment which took to his sister.

Combat

• Arky is still a swordsman at heart, though never seen with his older sword, Arky now carries a mechanical sword which extends from it's compact form when the handle is squeezed. Arky knows aetheric and magical abilities, though refuses to use them in combat.

Relationships

Family

• Nanokie Mosuke, deceased. Nanokie died from Aether Sickness after the fall of Dalamud, prior to The Calamity there was no symptoms. One can only assume it was dormant until the release of excess aether from The Calamity.

Relationships (Player Characters)

• Keroa Mosuke: Once thought to be his older sister, rumor has it that she's actually his wife.

• L'mila Lania: A younger female Miqo'te which Arky has recently taken a Mentor roll with, rumors abound with topic of their teaching.

• Flandre Alwanya: A dark skinned Miqo'te that Arky knew prior to the fall, after a short time reconnecting, they seem to have fallen out.

• U'tano Kazhe: U is U, As Nymeia weaves. U'tano was the one to bring Arky back from his encounter with death, he's yet to see her after.

• Altima Zeroblade: A refreshing change of pace, is what Arky would call Altima. The two met and instantly made good friends of each other, from his standpoint at least. Altima was the first to find Arky, and possibly brought the others to aid, she also selflessly drained the excess corrupt aether from Arky, which allowed U'tano to revive him.

• Ul'teah Frostheart: An acquaintance which Arky met in passing, the two no longer speak.

• Aldeus Fenix: A fair skinned individual which Arky once spent time with, the two haven't spoken in some time.

• Keisuna Hidae: An older friend, Keisuna was the only one to discover Arky was male, before the Fall of Dalamud.

• Lambert Arkwright: Clearly an individual with many problems, Lambert is responsible for nearly ending Arky's life.

• Roswyn Valhuri: Arky met Roswyn in passing, but instantly warmed up to her, even with her teasing demeanor, Arky doesn't find her distasteful like some. The two had only seen each other again most recently, after Arky was injured, Roswyn was kind enough to bandage him up.

• Yangh Linh: To Arky she is a evil, rage enducing, self centered, egotistical bitch. Even still Arky was at least one time trying to be her friend, the two haven't spoken to each other more than in passing, with very little to say.
