Nymeia, the Spinner General Information Briardien has lived the majority of his life on the streets of Ul'dah, earning his way through freelance work or the whim of his adventurous spirit. Because of this, he experiences some disconnect with Elezen culture, and though of Wildwood descent, has spent much of his life accustomed to Ul'dah's urban life. His sunken eyes sparkle merrily in deep forest-green. Physique & Markings His build is lean and slim, muscled from exercise and, coupled with his height, intimidating enough to cause a stir in battle. He wears loose-fitting clothes, and a number of scars have made home upon his flesh. Hygiene & Attire It seems Briardien is conscious of his hygiene, enough so that the sweat of a hot day will not linger for long. Still, along his line of work, it is to be expected that he usually smells of dry dust and warm leather, with his clothing loose enough to include some fresh sun-tinged air into the mix. Personality Psychological Profile For a man who proclaims to be a lover over a fighter, it cannot be denied that he is often in the thick of the seediest hearts of mischief. Still, his claims are held up in other ways -- his inclination to laughter, good company, and a conscious effort to seem more amicable and harmless than he truly is. He is easy-going enough, but his true nature often presses him to the edge of listening and learning over boasting his own bouts of adventure. He is uncomfortable with conversations that stray too far into philosophy or politics, preferring his world to be small and controlled. A reason why he prefers a self-contained city, perhaps, over the unpredictability of the wilderness. Voice Once his rasping laugh has faded away, a passer-by may be surprised to note how quietly he speaks. One may have to strain over the business of a tavern, or the squawking of the hunt, to catch some of his reflections. The low decibel does not seem to come from uncertainty or even shyness. It is just his preference, with perhaps a part of him enjoying the notion of a room falling silent just to hear him speak. And, perhaps, it has also been affected by previous injury. Philosophy & Mannerisms Briardien is a keen follower of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". He shows kindness and respect where it is due, and his ire will only be roused should you purposefully provoke it in himself or another. His posture is often rounded to appear smaller and more approachable than he is, and he radiates a welcoming air where all other aspects of his life should suggest caution.

History Ode to Nachu The Family 罪悪感 The Wolves Release Moonfire Faire Mercy Briardien has lived the majority of his life on the streets of Ul'dah, earning his way through freelance work or the whim of his adventurous spirit. Because of this, he experiences some disconnect with Elezen culture, and though of Wildwood descent, has spent much of his life accustomed to Ul'dah's urban life. Rumours have surfaced that implicate a life vastly different to the one he lives now -- some tale of an arrogant man brought low by a simple, yet savage, accident. Seen frequently now around the Iron Lynx, one may be exposed to glimpses of a fragile health for extended periods of time, though recently such an ailment seems to have found reprieve. Whispers may be heard in Ul'dah of a widower in his shoes. Should this be truth, he keeps it closely guarded. He has gotten himself mired in some roguish trouble in Limsa Lominsa, slowly building an ill repute concerning the crowd he keeps and the work he does. Briar finds refuge in the Iron Lynx Bar & Inn -- and later, employment. Tasked to keep ill company from granted entrance, he confronts his biggest challenge yet: wearing a tailored suit. The Elezen is now confronted by the divide between his life before the Lynx, and his life in the present concerning it. While he aims to rehabilitate himself from many long years of mercenary work, he finds himself to be motivated also by a particular woman. Regardless of this, he has found his health deteriorating from past choices and mistakes. Achieving peace is easier said than done. After Tamamo Tamo is cornered and injured by bandits, a handful of folk, including Briar, journey out to Lost Hope to seek vengeance. With blood fresh on his hands, and new scars to form, he decides to lay aside his blades for the final time. Retirement, however, is not always hiding himself in the Lynx to dabble in the occasional painting or writing. Briar has recently been spotted trekking out on hunts with a particular group of faces. A little more noticeably, he sports a new band around his previously vacant left ring finger. A band that is soon to disappear, not long after murmurs begin of the Elezen's further dip in health. After a hunting incident, Briar's health is further maligned in a parallel to his earlier life. Having stepped nearer to death than ever before, the Elezen takes pains to confront who he truly is beneath his veil of action. In the wake of a quiet, untraditional, and intimate bonding with Imadyn Heart, Briardien finally allows himself to accept the possibility of happiness, in the near future, and the further future to come. In Recent Times Moving Forward He relocates to the Shroud, finding peace and serenity there with his bonded by his side. Picture
