General Information
Ceri Mokma is a Miqo’te Keeper of the Moon, wayward daughter of a successful Gridanian merchant. Unlike most Keepers, she was raised by her father and never really knew her mother. She’s trained in conjury, but her abilities are unreliable. She can perform impressive feats of healing one minute, and struggle mend a sprain the next, so she supplements her conjury through limited geometries and practical medicine.
Appearance
Ceri’s most eye-catching features are her intense light-blue eyes, her shoulder-length white hair, and her natural blue freckles. She’s small and slight, with soft features and large expressive ears. Though she sometimes obsesses over what to wear, for the most part she prefers to dress simply, with clothes fit for travel or designed for comfort, rather than show – though she has a weakness for skirts of all kinds. And in spite of always being on the road between cities, or staying in questionable inns, she manages to keep well groomed and clean, and it’s rare to catch her looking otherwise.

Mannerisms
She’s a wallflower. Attractive on the surface, but absent-minded, easily confused, clumsy and awkward when she’s nervous. Adding to those issues, her well-hidden sense of humor runs a little dry and dark with a touch of sarcasm, which doesn’t help anything. She’s easy to misunderstand, and she’s discovered that there aren’t many people who truly get along with her in the long-term, with most only using her when they need her for something or pursuing her if they happen to be charmed by her appearance, so she tends to kept most of her more thoughts to herself. Nonetheless, she determined to get along with people and to help them however she can, whether or not they would like her in the long term. So if it makes it easier for others, she’s more than happy to keep a polite distance.
Philosophy & Ideals
Ceri is best described as a cautious idealist, she tries to find the good in everyone she meets. If it’s there, she’ll do her best to find it. But if she can’t find it, or if you’ve managed to break one of her ‘serious moral rules’, the details of which she’ll never share with you, she’ll probably never forgive you even if you wanted her to. In general, she believes in making a better world, and dislikes those who are too ready to accept the world as it stands. She has her own sense of justice, and her easy-going nature can quickly turn harsh if she believes something is wrong – although most people find this slightly less than threatening.
Quirks
- She tends to stare at strangers, or even friends, from a distance. She calls it people-watching.
- She can be forgetful to the point of seeming rude. It’s not that she doesn’t care, but sometimes the details don’t matter to her.
- Complex machines/devices don’t get along with her.

Early Life
Childhood
Ceri was born in the Shroud, but after he mother died, her father, a decidedly non-traditional Keeper, took her and raised her in Gridania. He was a carpenter at first, and he later became a successful trader and merchant, selling tools and materials mostly. She grew up in relative comfort, as her father could afford to give her almost anything she could possible want. But she never asked too much of him as he was usually very busy. She was just happy to have him around whenever he had time for her. For the most part, she had their large house all to herself – her father didn’t believe in household servants, so he left most of the cleaning to Ceri – and she could usually be found holed up with some old book written by some dead writer or philosopher, or else in the family garden, spending time with the neighbor children: a Hyur boy and a few Elezen girls.
Adolescence
When she came of age, she bounced around between different studies, failing at each of them in turn, but eventually settling on conjury. He connection to the elements was at times wildly impressive, and at others terribly disappointing. She could heal major injuries one day, and yet struggled to heal a bad bruise the next day. He instructors claimed Ceri wasn’t trying hard enough, and maybe they were right.
Adulthood
On her twentieth birthday she decided to set out on her own, desiring to see the world. She took only a few weeks worth of supplies and whatever money her father managed to force upon her before she left. First, she thought she would visit the Keepers in the Shroud, mostly because she had never really spent time around them as a child. Soon after, she moved on to Limsa Lominsa where she tried her hand at arcanistry, hoping to supplement her abilities whenever her conjury failed her. She was able to learn a few healing geometries, much to the surprise of her instructors, but she was forced to quit when her father’s money finally ran out. After a few days on the streets, she was ready to do anything, and at the suggestion of a cynical Roegadyn mercenary captain, she decided to sell her skills limited healing skills to try to make ends meet on her own.
Recent Times
These days she can be found in any of the major cities trying to sell her healing abilities, or, if she can’t find anyone to hire her, she’ll take to the streets, searching for a warm bed for the night. She typically gets hired by mercenary outfits, ships, or caravans looking for a ‘budget option’ – mediocre skill, low cost. Her current lifestyle gets a little harsh sometimes, so she’s on the lookout for steadier work, if she can find it.

My Policies
-
Healing
I don’t really like ‘instant’ healing. I prefer to use it as a kind of bandage in the short-term, keeping people from falling apart or bleeding out. Afterwards, more regular care might be needed, long-term attention for serious injuries.
-
Lore
I’m not an expert on the lore myself, so unless it threatens to break immersion I’m not serious about it. If you are, I’m perfectly fine with it, but you may have to correct me if I get something wrong.
-
Story
Though I’m open to any story, I really like stories about interpersonal relationships, ideas, emotions, and romance. Stories that are all about events and external obstacles are usually less interesting to me.
-
Empathy
The Golden Rule.
