Basic Info
A proud warrior originally hailing from the waters of Vylbrand, Gigishan now spends his days on land, having traded the seas for the sand dunes of Thanalan.
History
Long before returning to the homeland of his people, Gigishan roamed the seas, sailing under the banner of a plundering pirate crew. After many months of pillaging, however, the thrill of piracy soon became dull to the Lalafell, who craved to fight stronger foes than the Yellowjackets of Limsa Lominsa. There was only one among the pirate crew that Gigishan could ever confide in, one he could even call his friend, an Au Ra by the name of Natya Rudh. Unfortunately, Natya was actually a Maelstrom, whom eventually lured the crew into an ambush, where, realizing how outmatched they were, surrendered almos immediately, save for Gigishan, though he too was quickly overpowered.
While the rest of the pirates were tried and sentenced to the fullest extent of the law, Natya took pity on the Lalafell, having known of Gigishan's true nature, and taking her own past experiences into account, pleaded for Gigishan to be spared the same fate of his fellow pirates. Instead of being sent to rot in gaol, he was ordered to serve as a Yellowjacket himself for four years, defending the very people he once raided day in and day out. While Gigishan was spared a life of imprisonment thanks Natya, the former pirate never spoke to her again.
After his release from the Yellowjackets, Gigishan returned to his homeland of Thanalan, pledging loyalty to no one as he wandered the land, searching for the one thing he wanted since before his arrest; to fight in battles worthy of his strength.
Personality
Blunt and crass, the former pirate is quick to annoy, being sensitive about his height in particular, which is short even by Lalafell standards. Despite his short-fuse, he can be quite friendly towards friends and strangers alike, though Gigishan will hold a grudge and keep it to the grave.
Seemingly fearless, Gigishan tends to pick fights with anyone and anything, no matter how badly the odds are stacked against him. To compensate for his small size, Gigishan focused more on his speed than his brute strength, having trained in the ways of the pugilist to fine-tune his agility.
